Chapter 9: The honorable Decision

The meeting was over. The discussion finish. There was nothing but silences, as nothing could change the clan leader’s mind. In that way, he could be quite stubborn. Once he decided on something, that was it. It was the law now. Nothing could be said, no one could bring it up for discussion, not even Reige.

The household was the family that created the clan. They were divided into two groups, the main branch of the family, and the second branch.

The main family is the one who directly created the clan and just brought the other half of their family into it, hence creating the second branch.

Mitchiel’s family was the second branch. He was treated quite well for someone of the second branch, a private mansion for him, his father and sister.

He had quite the money, since money is gather from disciples willing to learn and is pass among the family as well as the money they gained from selling products.

If someone in the household is incapable of use, sometimes they get sent to distant mansion, which is what happened to Mitchiel. But even though that happened, things could have been much worse.

Mitchiel could have been excommunicated since the beginning, but because he wasn’t a regular clan disciple but both a household and clan member, they allowed him to remain.

But now, the decision has been passed. If Mitchiel goes to the YAMAC but bring no honor, he will be excommunicated even if he is a household member. If he chooses not to go, he will suffer severe punishments that will caused him to be looked at, as something worse than trash.

He will lose even more value than the little amount he tried to gained. Only Mitchiel’s response remained.

The YAMAC was in two months.

In Mitchiel’s room, Ryoukai town, Xinbu Kingdom:

“Huh? How did I get here?” thought Mitchiel as he woke up and look around his room. “And who is this pretty girl with her head in my lap?”

Mitchiel was laid in his bed when he was carried to his mansion. It took a couple of days for the pills to completely heal him. Repairing blood vessels and bringing someone back to good health took time.

The pills were not of the best quality so it took a week in total for Mitchiel to awaken from unconsciousness.

Once awaken, he found a pretty girl that looks about fifteen years old sleeping on his lap. He shakes her awake.

“Mitchiel-kun, you woke up!!” said the girl happily as she rushes to hug him. “I miss you so much!!”

“Yeah me too!!” said The emperor, trying to mimic the real Mitchiel.

“You are acting weird brother” said the girl.

“How so?” asked Mitchiel, gaining the knowledge that the real Mitchiel had a sister.

“I am not sure, just a vibe that I got, like you are different or something” explained Mitchiel’s sister.

“Well, I did go and get in a fight, so I guess that’s why” explained Mitchiel.

“Anyway, what happened out there? I heard you got a tie against Tymol” claim the girl. “Tell little old me all about it”

“Well how to begin…” started Mitchiel. “It’s a long story, so bear with it…”

After having explained the details of the event to his family members and the clan, Mitchiel went to the meeting room and told everyone his decision.

He was not going to let them down any further. He would not only go to the YAMAC, he would get the number one title.

Of course, everyone laughed at him, except his father and sister, but even them, had worried expressions on their faces.

For good reasons, they tried to stop Mitchiel from participating in the YAMAC. They told him about the harsh battles that take place in the YAMAC, and that only the best and brightest of each clan in Ryoukai and its neighboring regions may participate.

Which means a total of 20 different clans will be participating in the YAMAC, and not only that, YAMAC became so popular, that some Martial Arts Higher Training Programs, Sects, Organizations, as well as schools, and even different branch of the government will send officials to watch the tournament to see if anyone is talented enough to go to their school.

Mitchiel’s father and sister told Mitchiel all that information because they knew Mitchiel would not be able to handle the pressure.

Ever since Mitchiel was a child, he had a hard time dealing with pressure, which is probably why he tried to learn more advanced fire magic and ended up breaking his mantra.

But Mitchiel was proving them wrong.

He acted in the complete opposite of how he usually acts. Of course, this was because Mitchiel wasn’t Mitchiel but the Holy Emperor. The Holy Emperor was just acting like his normal self in wanting to help people especially the previous owner of his current body.

He was going to increase the fame and reputation of the Minotaur Clan, and then he was planning on leaving and finding his route back to his rightful group.

His servants that he missed so much. But there are so many obstacles he has left to face before he can meet them again. And the Holy Emperor planned to face each obstacle head-on and without holding back, for his revenge will be anything but moderation.
