《Devour》Chapter 23: Barbarian Tribe

There are two types of tribes, the evil type, which promotes war, fighting, and killing, while the peaceful type tribe, like Blood Tribe, encourages the exact opposite of the evil type.
The Blood Moon Cult gives multiple fortresses to the Barbarian Tribe to expand their territory in exchange for their loyalty to the cult. The Barbarian Tribe is the most vicious evil type tribe and is known for the tattoos around their body.
The tattoos are not only for display but a special ability.
It has been six months since Dino and Kiba heard the news about Aera and Mickey about Dawn City and a year's worth of fighting and searching for the Barbarian Tribe's Chieftain whereabouts. The Stronghold where the current Chieftain of the tribe resides has four towers, seven barracks, two mess halls, two storage buildings, an obstacle course, some small buildings for random use, and a meeting Hall.
The enemies overran the whole mountain and said it was the hardest fortress to conquer based on the spy's information. Many have died to pass through the guards hiding behind trees, a wall with magic, and get out alive to tell what they found.
Kiba looks at the outline of the map and found a way to attack with fewer casualties. He discusses his plan with Dino as they get ready for a whole week before they attack, and everyone in the group simulates their role to win the upcoming battle.
The Blood Tribe is the most powerful and dominant peaceful tribe; they provide protection to other tribes to maintain the balance of power between peace and evil type tribes.
The Barbarian Tribe offended too many peaceful tribes around their territories by waging war, consuming the weaker tribe to get stronger. The balance is crucial politically so that the past won't repeat itself.

Holy War: A war where all Sects combine forces to eradicate all tribes after one evil tribe gain ninety percent (90%) control of the tribes in the continent. They never stop and continue the senseless killing and start waging more war on anyone who opposes the tribe. The tribe that survives is the Black Crow Tribe, who move multiple times to avoid any fight, which branches over time to different tribes.
Dino and Kiba ran an exceptional team of fifty people; the group consists of Advance rank magicians and Master rank warriors from different Sects, Tribe, and School.
Even with the number of the group, they successfully evade the hidden guards and stay quietly hidden not far from the fortress until the stars fill the sky. Waiting for Dino's signal, everyone prepares their weapon and hoping to win tonight.
When they begin to move in the night quietly and reach the wall with a hole enough for a grown man to fit, Dino sends the twin with soul gloves that can stick on any surface and climb the four watchtowers. During this time, two watchtower guards sleep since they know that any intruder needs to deal with the hidden guards outside the fortress and assumed no one could penetrate their defense.
Shifty decapitates the watchtower's guards from each tower; Kiba sends three magicians to each tower and tells them to wait for Dino's signal.
Kiba plans to use the "Blood Sacrifice" they collected to the dead guards and planted them like bombs around each building. One warrior in the group can control strings and uses her ability to hold multiple knives as she stabs the dead.
Dino gives the signal, and the magicians on the watchtower are standing by to cast fire magic on the enemies.
The "Blood Sacrifice" knives drain the blood from the dead guards and explode one by one, killing most Barbarian Tribes in the process.

The magicians in the watchtower start shooting fireballs at the enemies, and Dino's group begins to slaughter the enemies controlling the gate to prevent reinforcements from entering the premises.
Kiba's plan is very effective!
The barbarians who survived the explosion and the magic coming from the watchtower immediately activate their special power, "Soul Tattoos."
SOUL TATTOOS: The ability to devour a beast to take the beast's body using a unique type of ink and tattooed to the tribesmen. Anyone with tattoos on their body can transform into an inky beast.
