《Alteria: The Fall of Gods》CHAPTER 23: Black Crimson Swordmage

Waking up from his deep sleep, Isaac glances around the room. He felt that his body is lighter and stronger. His eyes seem more clear and precise that he can even see the tiny dust in the air. His blood seems to be continually burning and cooling down but oddly enough he doesn’t felt any uneasiness. He tried punching the air as his fist sailed through faster than usual. Suddenly a blue holographic screen appeared in front of him.
[Congratulations! The user has successfully absorbed the dragon’s blood(black)]
[Strength and Vitality has risen by a rank]
[The spell Blood Spike has evolved to Black Corrosive Spike]
[The eye of truth failed to be upgraded]
[The talent Paragon of Blood failed to be upgraded]
[The user can choose the class, Black Crimson Swordmage]
[Will the user pick this class?]
[Yes/No]
Isaac was barraged with letters and words as he gazes at each and every single piece of it. He was elated when he sees that his strength and vitality were upgraded but it cannot be the same for the blood spike. His blood spike is very useful and versatile since he can damage and open a wound of an enemy using his sword and use his or her blood to create a blood spike.
Still, since an evolved spell cannot be returned back to its original spell. Isaac hoped for the best that this new spell of his is worth it for sacrificing the versatility and usefulness of the blood spike. He can only shake his head before reading the next sentence.
He was surprised that he has the chance to finally pick a class. The class system in Aleria was never clear for Isaac, usually otherworlders gain class immediately but for some reason, he and Kyle didn’t have one.
From what he can see from Kyle, classes didn’t matter that much for him. Probably because of the cursed sacred swords that give spells and Kyle’s innate knowledge of almost everything. Suddenly he remembered what Kyle said when he was talking to Cellica that there is an item that can give classes without requirements meaning that most classes if not all needed a certain requirement for him to acquire it. The problem is that he doesn’t know what the Black Crimson Swordmage requirements or what it will do.
He spends a couple of minutes figuring on what to do, although he can leave and ask Kyle. He decided to not ask him. Traveling and fighting together for months doesn’t mean he trusted him. He doesn’t know what his goals on helping him nor any of his stories. He feels that Kyle is just an acquaintance in a job he worked at. They spend a lot of time together but they really don’t know anything about each other. If Kyle betrays him, he can fight back and defend himself. That’s why he needs to become stronger. Secrecy is important where people have the power to kill anyone they want as long as they have the wealth and power to do it. He sighs before gazing at the blue screen asking a yes or no. Without hesitation anymore, he presses yes and a barrage of text appeared in front of him.
[Black Crimson Swordmage] [Unique Class] [Ancient]
The olden ways of fighting by the demonic tribe of Laracia. A tribe comprised of talented variant humans with a demonic horn on their heads. It was said that they were half-demons resulted in the breeding of demons and humans. Although it wasn’t true, the Laracia are the true ancestors of both humans and demons alike. Which unknowingly splits apart after their demise when the kingdoms of Laracia attempted to fight the gods resulting in their destruction. With their swift and deadly swordsmanship added by their destructive magic, they were unrivaled in battle. The black crimson swordmages are the elite forces of Laracia, capable of fighting dragons and slaying saints.

Requirements:
Level 30
Weapon Mastery (A)
Magic Mastery (A)
The seal of black crimson
Gem of Tiarda
Kill 200 demons and humans
Approval of the head of Laracia
Isaac pondered on what to do. The class requirements are harder to obtain since he only knows 3 of the requirements. He has a katana mastery but it was far from A-tier yet and he doesn’t have a magic mastery. The seal of black crimson and the gem of tiarda are items that he has never heard of.
Killing 200 demons and humans might be easier if he knows where and how to find demons except going for the demon’s continent but killing humans might be harder since he doesn’t want to be painted as a criminal since they needed to enter cities and capitals. Their reputations will be at rock bottom if it was discovered that they wield cursed weapons. A war between humans can be easier for him to kill if he joined the knights or become a mercenary. Although he can kill anyone if it’s needed and required, he still couldn’t kill innocent people. It might be his humanity when he lived on earth or just the by-product of human sympathy.
He was indeed shaken when he killed those knights fighting in the forest of doom but after that. Killing seems natural, even when he killed the templars guarding the tower it’s similar to killing an ant, inconsequential and something he didn’t mind. He gazes at his hands and he can see the blood of the people he slew. The wails and screams can be heard behind him as he quickly turned around. Nothing but the white wall greeted him. His heart pounded louder as sweats run in his back. Guilt and anger surface in his expression as he quickly stands up.
“Oh~. Guilty are we? You have taken their father, brother, their son, or even their grandson away just for your selfish wishes. How does that feel? Good? Bad? That doesn’t matter, you have already done the damage. Just imagine a sick daughter waiting for his father to only to realize that he didn’t come home ever since then. Familiar isn’t it? Ah~ i wonder what expression you are doing right now~” a gentle voice of a woman echoed through his room. The jagged katana is glowing with a red and demonic aura surrounding it as it shakes with every word spoken. A sneered laughter echoed once again coming from the weapon as Isaac didn’t move a single muscle and only gazed at the floor.
“Such a weak man, i guess your mentality was only a fluke. If you release me, i can make your pain go away~” It continued
“Shut up, i didn’t want a demon stuck on a sword judging me. It’s like a prisoner making fun out of a rich man. Not worth my time and only hurts my ears. You’re a tool so act like it!” Isaac grabbed the katana before slamming it to the ground before kicks it continuously. and bringing it closer to his face. A creepy smile and crazy-like eyes appeared on Isaac’s face as he looks unnaturally ecstatic.
“You’re lucky that you stuck and hid there or i would have mutilated your body until there’s nothing left” he laughs crazily before switching to anger once again as he throws it in the wall. He returns to his usual deadpan expression as he left the room.

‘It was weird that i felt something like a pang of guilt and sadness. I hope my acting worked or i wouldn’t get any sleep if it continued speaking like an annoying bug. As they say, if dealing with a crazy person, become something crazier or something like that’ He smiled as he was surprised to see Cellica gazing at his door. She jolted in surprise when Isaac opens the door and notices her staring at his door. Her embarrassed and anxious expression quickly returned to an elegant and prideful smile.
“Oh, i didn’t know you can smile” Cellica smirked
“It usually depends on who the person i’m with. For example you, i can never smile if i’m near you” Isaac returned to his apathetic expression as he just stared at Cellica.
“It’s fine, i wouldn’t really want to see that disgusting smile of yours” Cellica smiles gently despite what she just said as she goes outside the mansion. Isaac didn’t mind the insult as he decided to go outside the mansion too. Loud noises of people speaking and arguing can be heard outside the gate as he can see Kyle talking to someone through the gate. His long white hair and the green robe embroidered with a golden dragon were quite different and unique than Isaac would imagine what people usually wears. This man might be crazy or prideful enough that he doesn’t care what other people say. He walks slowly towards Kyle as he can finally hear what they’re saying.
“I’ll help you if you sign this contract with me” Kyle smiled but the man gritted his teeth and smashes his hands to the bars of the gate before shouting in pain.
“Help me, peasant! This heavenly saint doesn’t have the time to squander my golden time. I won’t agree to your contract! No contract under the heavens can bind me!” he shouted on top of his lungs as the people surrounding him started to rip his clothes off with obsession in their eyes.
‘Ahh, a crazy and prideful person’ Isaac nodded to himself as he makes his way towards Kyle.
“Well i guess it might be heaven’s will that you will have to give your chastity to strangers both men and women” Kyle laughed loudly as he stops to breathe a few seconds before laughing and grabbing his stomach. Tears of happiness welled in his eyes before wiping them as the man glared at him intensely. If a glare can kill, Kyle’s body would be completely obliterated. Noticing Isaac is walking towards him, Kyle beckoned him to come closer.
“Meet Shen Xia or that’s actually his fake name. His actual name is Alrich Rein. A mage who can only use support spells and magic. Addicted to Chinese cultivation manhua and novels that when he was summoned, he thought that he would be the savior of heaven and earth. Of course, that didn’t happen but he stylized himself to look like a cultivation master. He was summoned 1 year ahead of us and he usually deals with merchants and poets alike. A man with many talents, chained by his obsession with falsity. " Kyle shakes his head with his tone full of sadness and disappointment as he gazes at the half-naked Shen who is desperately clinging on his robe.
“I didn’t ask for his biography, why is he being assaulted by this many people?” Isaac asked as he calmly stared at the battlefield outside the gate.
“Well, a love potion that he is testing exploded on him and everyone who has affections to him grew to outright obsession. He has an androgynous look on his face added by his long hair, infatuated some of the men in the capital.” Kyle explained despite the screams of Shen just outside the gate.
“Love potion? you mean aphrodisiac?” Cellica voice surprises Kyle as he quickly turns his head to face Cellica with a smile.
“How was the Lexium production and acquisition ?” Kyle asked
“Problematic, many merchants and nobles keep asking why were buying tons of Lexium. Some are being suspicious of us so they raised the prices up while others downright wouldn’t sell us any” Cellica sighs. There are clear signs of lack of sleep and stress as black lines under her white face are starting to appear and her hair is slightly disheveled. She also talks slowly and quietly than usual.
“Drawfs are also hard to contact since there’s a few left in this capital while the rune mages are gonna arrived tomorrow together with my professor in the academy. It’s gonna take until the banquet before the production and manufacture can start.” Cellica smiles while glancing at what’s happening outside.
“Yes! I’ll sign it please! Help me! Quick!” Shen shouted as Kyle smirks before swinging the gate open and throwing a white powder towards the crowd of people. The people started looking at each other with confusion in their eyes but they realize that they are in front of the white mansion and the heir of the Venir family. They quickly cowered in fear before bowing and running away quickly. Leaving the disheveled and crying Shen outside while grabbing his items and ripped clothes fallen on the ground.
“Congratulations! Welcome to the club named everyone hates each other” Kyle smiles while stretching his hands out.
“Assshole! Why didn’t you help me?” Shen quickly stands up and grabs Kyle’s collar as he glared at him.
“Not the first time i’m been called like that. Besides, it’s not my fault you exploded yourself with a love potion. I’m merely making a business deal with you” Kyle smirks as Shen gritted his teeth before letting go of his grip on Kyle’s collar.
“Let me read the contract first” Shen says with annoyance and anger in his voice.
“Oh, i thought you would continue your cultivator demeanor” Kyle waves the contract in the air as Shen attempted to grab it from his hands only for the contract to vanish.
“Where is the contract?!” Shen shouted in anger but Kyle shrugged
“You and your friends already know my real name so there’s no point in continuing it so where the hell is the contract?!”Shen asked loudly.
“There’s no contract yet but i will make a deal that you can’t refuse” Kyle smirked
