《Anchorkin [Rerwiting]》C1 Before I died

That morning I was excited, they were opening up a museum ship for the public after extensive restoration efforts. As someone who donated to help, I and other donors had access to the ship a week before the full public. Hehe~ donator perks. On the walk to the ship I had a text from my friend, telling me a new gacha game was released, however she mentioned it was about ship girls.
*sigh*
“You know only boys would jump up for that gacha crap, just because it has ship girls, it won't exactly be worthwhile, it's just another money grab!”
After many attempts she managed to persuade me by saying that they made it really realistic despite its anime setting, and mentioned that most of the payments were cosmetics. Yes I caved into peer pressure. After installing the game I played it when I got onto the bus and within the 2 hour journey I arrived at the bus stop not to far from the ship, and I was hooked to that game, so much so I didn’t notice the car tyres squealing towards me, at the last few moments I noticed, I dived out of the way, luckily I dodged the car, or rather, the pylon stopped the car with unyielding strength, but I also missed the safety fence during my dodge attempt next to me and fell towards the water, but I did not dodge the rock at the bottom
*SKRACK*
My head landed right on the only rock at the bottom of the kanal and I blacked out, my luck is a mess, gacha games really do make you question your luck.
When I came to, my sight was really blurry.
Did I really survive a 20ft fall head first into a rock?
Before I could process what was going on, I saw a blurred shadowy figure of a child clad in black and white was in the corner of my view.

“Man I never saw someone’s luck change so many times in 1 minute in my entire life” (G)
(Author note: G refers to God Of Misfortune)
He said so in a slightly pitiful way as he slowly walked towards me.
“Right after you died you even got the legendary drop-” (G)
“FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!” (me)
I couldn’t believe it, I never had any rare drops in any gacha game I’ve ever played.
And just as I get one it just so happened to be after I died.
“He-hey...dont worry, for I, the god of misfortune shall send you to the next world” (G)
I glared at him in a way to say I won't forgive him if he tries to rub my poor luck into my face.
He froze for a moment, clearly spooked.
“Calm down, I may be called the god of misfortune, but I’m not evil” (G)
He sighed for a moment, before continuing.
“Here's how it works, you spin this wheel-” (G)
“Gacha spins say they are fair, but they are severely rigged too you know?” (me)
“Would you just let me explain, If you listened maybe you would understand why my terms are fair!” (G)
His angry face was cute~
“Ok ok~”
I tried calming him down, similarly to how a mother apologies for teasing their child too much.
“Anyways, there are 2 options, first, you can spin 3 times and choose 1 perk, you can only get good ones with this, however they are only B grade Perks at best with this. Secondly-”
“How are the perks measured? Like would B grade be superhealing, or something mundane like less animal agro?”
He paused before answering
“F grade would be something like 10% more stat growth, whereas SS+ would be Respawning. B grade would be multiple spell casting, or Super resistant skin. So B grade would be early superhuman stuff, SS+ is cheat, and F is sort of like a small Trait, however all give an advantage as only 1 in every 10000 people on this planet has one” (G)

“And what of the second option?” (Me)
“You spin 3 times, with higher rewards, however, you may also get debuffs or curses. These can be anything from reduced physical abilities, people naturally hating you, to even starting off as a slave. However, as a token of my respect for that spectacular show of your final moments, I will limit your misfortunes to a maximum of 1, you might not get any at all!” (G)
{So it's either 1 meh perk, or 2 probably not meh perks, with a low chance of a misfortune. Its bonuses far outweigh its risks, but there's the possibility I get 2 meh perks and a serious curse}
“I will choose option 2” (Me)
“Are you sure? No take backs” (G)
“My luck has been all over the place so I honestly couldn't care less anymore” (Me)
Then as if confirming my choice, 3 gacha spinner looking things came out of nowhere,
“Some of the perks tuned to the person, so doctors have a higher chance of healing skills, actors some bard skills and kids, the flashy cool skills” (G)
Upon saying that, 3 buttons appeared in front of me.
“Press once to start spinning, again to stop” (G)
Without waiting another second, I press all 3, then after a second, I pressed all 3 again
Upon stopping, the 3 had the following: Race, Perk, Curse.
I felt a shiver down my spine upon seeing the curse.
They then revealed themselves one by one.
Anchorkin
Pristine self control
Nemesis
“Oooh, 2 SS+ and a S tier curse, quite the high roller!” (G)
“What exactly are they?” (Me)
“Anchorkin race looks human but allows you to summon warships as the ship itself or a rig. You can summon ships throughout history and even create your own, as its level increases, the higher tech ships you can create. It has various skills, but generally it's really specified, so you can't really play different roles too well with it.” (G)
Pristine Self control allows you to directly control every aspect of your body beyond its natural capability, such as releasing the mental limiter of the brain, surpassing normal human limits, or training certain aspects to a higher level, even controlling severed limbs. And the last one, Nemesis is a secret~” (G)
“At least give me a hint here, my life is on the line!” (Me)
“You literally just died a grizzly death through unintentional suicide and you were more upset over losing out on a legendary drop…” (G)
“Motherf-” (Me)
“A rival. Nemesis is an enemy who wishes to defeat you and either kill or enslave you, at a random time within a month to a year, they will start hunting you down, they will attack you 3 times a year, you will gain hints or notifications on when they are attacking or are near, they will hunt for you, but won't always know you are there, so they aren't omnipotent, but pure luck will play its role there” (G)
“And I’m guessing there’s no diplomacy for them eh?” (Me)
“Nope, they want you to suffer, so if it isn't enslaved for life, it's a painful death, not a quick head crushing like a melon death like your previous one” (G)
“...bit graphic?” (Me)
He turned around and the surroundings slowly started to shine brighter and brighter
“Hey hey!, how do I even use my abilities?!” (Me)
“Just say tutorial” (G)
The small god boy turned and smiled at me before I blacked out.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
