Magik - PROLOGUE TWO
The System, and rather the birth of it my dear students, is when our worlds were formed. Now, some of my fellow colleagues believe our worlds were in fact giant hunks of rock in space floating around a dead star before a magikal being decided to grant it life with a "System," but I rather believe it was the natural evolution of our dear Solara. You see, our expeditions and observations of Solara, at least those of myself and our Branch, have hypothesized that Solara was alive, many billions of trillions of years ago before something happened; perhaps a natural decline of its fuel reserves, perhaps an apocalyptic cosmic event, we will never know; however, this had concluded with her falling into a slumber. Some believe that she had died, but I do not think this to be true. Either way, Solara had been dormant for many eons until a spark had started in its heart. This, I believe, was the first mote of magik.
You see, even after centuries of research and use, even after all of our technological advances and forays into the different branches of magik, we have absolutely no clue how magik was produced in our system. We know for a fact though that it exists and is a part of all of us. We know for a fact that magik is mutable and usable. We know for a fact that we can store magik, we can use it as fuel, we can change its properties, alter what it can do, and even allow for life to be resurrected; but we do not know how it is created or if it is ever destroyed. Every time a magik gem is formed or a dungeon gem consumed, it is re-inserted into us and re-absorbed by the system upon our eventual demise. And so, we do not know how or why, but we can conclude that magik was first made in the heart of Solara.

The first spark of magik beget the second, and so Solara awoke with the System in its heart and determined The Triplets to be its children. I, like many others, believe that Solara and The Triplets are natural factors of the world; we do not believe they are sentient, like some of our more zealous colleagues, but rather the natural flows of magik, recycling it with the help of the System. So what can me and you do with the system?
Well, my dear students, that is what we will be covering throughout this year as you prepare for your inauguration day.
