‘Lets not get carried away. First of all I need to have a proper Idea for the software . I also need investors for the project . It is not a simple thing. Before I work on this project I need to feed my stomach. I can’t possible be a free loader in my neighbor house .They are already poor ,how can they afford my food expenses. I need to get a job soon.’ John had no choice to cut his drying up expenses and eat in neighbor house . His ego didn’t agree but rational mind had no choice.

John tried to diversify his target for the following week by searching Jobs in textiles ,shopping malls , logistics . He soon realized that not all the employers were concerned with what he did in his previous job. He became excited and thought ‘Finally I have solved my hunger issue.’

But unfortunately for unknown reason the employer would ask him to leave the job in a few minutes after hiring him. Initially he thought that employer might have changed his mind but when the same thing repeated again and again he realized that something was wrong but couldn’t point his figure where.

He decided to give up for the day as he still needed to earn points by teaching the kid. His efforts for the entire week was not entirely wasted as he earned some points for his truth, honesty and respect.

John’s expression became solemn when he looked at his account balance in his phone which was only Rs.100. ‘If things go on like this there is no need for system to kill me , I will die by hunger myself. Jake’s monthly installment time quickly approaching . I thought I could convince him to wait for a while after getting job but if I don’t even have a job by then ,I am really screwed .What should I do?’

John didn’t go to the police since he had no evidence of borrowing money or loosing money. Taking help from the Old man is out of the option if he wanted to pursue Erika. He thought Erika would feel disgusted by his shamelessness and would think that he was pursuing her for money. Then he couldn’t complete his main mission and would die.

‘I can simply deny taking any loan but they are not normal people .They would do everything to get their money. Only way to solve this is by getting a job within few days. ‘ John decided to go outer city to try his luck tomorrow.

In the mean time Chris Parents were astonished by his change in behavior overnight. Chris’s Mom smiled every time he said thank you .She told him not to say to everything but Chris seemed to not to listen .He even insisted and took notes diligently every time he said it.

John didn’t know the changes he caused in a neighbor family. Even if he knew he would not care as he was hungry . He bought cheap chocolate in a run down store to keep his promise as he was broke.

“Brother I have completed what you told me to do. See this book I have noted the time and place accordingly.” Chris beamed with smile . He was eager to receive his rewards.

John smiled heartily. ‘I really want to become a Kid like him and not worry about hunger or job . Alas I can’t turn back time.’ John gave him chocolates after checking his notes. He was surprised to know that kid was diligent and said 50 times in a single week.

Chris was dumbfounded seeing the chocolates. He didn’t expect them to be so……..cheap . He started looking at John in a strange way. John’s face became instantly red . He was at a lose to what to say . He coughed a little and adjusted his facial expression to calm self.

“I know they are cheap. Since it is only your first day they can’t be expensive . When you follow my instruction diligently for weeks and months .You will see the price of chocolates increasing. Do you understand ?”

Chris was just a kid so he was easily fooled and began to ‘understand’ his new teacher’s motive .”I will follow your instructions.”

John heaved a sigh of relief in his mind. “Today I am going to give you another task. You need to do this along with your previous tasks for the nest week . I will assess your notes by then and reward you accordingly.”

Chris became excited once again ‘Next chocolate must be little expensive I guess.’ He involuntarily licked his lips.

John didn’t know whether to laugh or cry ‘You little devil don’t look at me with such expectation. I don’t have money to even fill my stomach let alone buy you a expensive chocolate.’

“All you need to do is hug your parents ,grandma and tell them ‘love you mom’, ’love you dad’, ‘love you grandma’ accordingly before going to bed and the first thing when you get up in the morning .”

Chris anticipated some heaven defying tasks for a expensive chocolate but didn’t expect it to be so easy .He asked in doubt “Are you sure brother? Aren’t they way to easy?”

John laughed and said “ They are not as easy as you think Chris . Let me tell you my conditions before you jump into conclusion.

I will not give you any chocolate if you stop your action any day of the week. You can’t stop saying thank you for reasons like they beat you or scolded you .Last week luckily everything went smoothly but every week won’t be like last week. Your parents moods fluctuates but you shouldn’t be affected by them and do your tasks diligently .

Now tell me , are they easy?”

Chris didn’t understand about mood change .He summarized John’s words as “Brother all you are saying is …I should be consistent right? If am not consistent you won’t give me chocolate right?”

John really appreciated simplicity of the kid “Yes that’s correct”

Chris nodded and left with a determined look on his face.
