Chapter 22 Gold & Black Psionic Scorpions
Author’s POV (Point Of View):
In a private chamber located at the peak of Mt Venom, a formidable figure garbed in dark raiment was standing firmly overlooking a mystical bath of black medicine. Within this dark expanse of wetness, several naked body parts were being drawn closer to each other while slowly mending themselves. These range of flesh belonged to none other than Tainted Scorpion who had been brought to a demolished state by her nemesis, Crimson Scorpion.
[Bubble! Bubble!] Anna’s body which had been torn to pieces by Crimson Scorpion’s explosive technique was gradually forming a whole. Seeing this process brought some solace to Master Odok’s countenance, though it was only visible through his body language.
[Gasp!] After some more hours of being soaked inside the mystical dark water, Anna finally regained consciousness. [Splash!] Opening her eyes, she rose from her relaxed position with a hint of confusion present in her gaze.
“Huh, where…?” [Huff! Huff!] Her breathing was unceremonious as she continued to observe her surroundings. “This place… am I…?” She quickly realized the formidable presence in the room after hearing his deep baritone voice.
“The rejuvenating process is coming along smoothly. Foolish girl, you should be grateful that your Psionic Scorpion was still functional after being broken to such an extent.”
“Sensei?” Anna stared at Master Odok who had just spoken. “Am I back at Mt Venom? What happened to…? Huh?” Flashes of the events which took place an hour before she died began replaying through her mind. “Crimson Scorpion…” Her facial expression became fierce the more she remembered.
Further assessing her current situation, Anna glanced down at the mystical bath where myriads of miniscule scorpions were stitching her severed flesh together. Her nude injuries were quickly being clothed, even her nipple which had been chewed off by the Demon Triad’s Bone Elder was rapidly re-growing.
“Master Odok, this bath is…?”
“Yes, it is just as you’re thinking. Your body is being soaked inside of the Abyss Water which is good for your Psionic Scorpions’ health.”

“No way!” Anna couldn’t believe it. “Doesn’t this Abyss Water cost a lot of arcane resources to create plus it requires a large portion of the creator’s life force. Why would you do this for me?”
Master Odok stepped closer to the bath and said: “Isn’t it obvious? You’re one of my best assassins. Remember that I have a pending job for you to complete.”
“But still, Sensei, this is too much.” Anna felt bad about having drained the Assassin League of Black Scorpions’ rare resources for her sake, thus she found her footing in the bath and began climbing out. “Let me hurry up and get out before I use up all of the resources.”
“Not until you’ve fully recovered.” [Plow!] Without prior warning, Master Odok kicked Anna back into the Abyss Water to finish her healing. He was such a stern instructor. No wonder he could maintain the head of the Assassin League of Black Scorpions.
[Splash!] Anna surfaced her head from the bath while wiping away some Abyss Water from her face. “Awe! That hurts, Sensei. Weren’t you the one who said you want me to heal faster?”
“Don’t show me that pouty expression. You and I both know that you thrived off pain. You wouldn’t be my number one prodigy if you didn’t.”
“He-he, you got me, sensei.” Anna’s expression realigned to a smirking facade. She sat up in the Abyss Water, intentionally exposing her chest while giving Master Odok a seductive gaze. “How come I’m you’re number one all of a sudden? Did you toss away White Scorpion?”
“Enough small talk. Meet me outside when you’re finished.” Before exiting the room, Master Odok shifted his non-visible gaze towards a mini-stable positioned at the corner. “I’ve taken the liberty to stitch you a new armour. Make sure you take good care of this one.”
“Huh?” Anna directed her gaze to the mini-table. Fresh undies were resting there. Situated atop these apparels was a golden necklace, similar to the one Ember had shown off. “You didn’t have to make me a new one. Thanks anyway sensei… huh?”

When Anna’s eyes returned to the doorframe, Master Odok had already vanished his presence from the room. “Fhm, always have to be so damn elusive. He didn’t even get a boner while drinking in the appearance of my alluring body. Sometimes I have to wonder if sensei is even human. One of these day’s I will have to validate if he’s truly junk-less.”
[Boom!] Right after Master Odok escaped the healing chamber, a fierce storm burst inside exuding worrisome lips and feminine zephyr. “Boss! Boss! How are you feeling? I heard from Master Odok that you woke up! Has everything healed correctly?”
Anna directed her gaze to the talkative storm. “Huh, Ember? You’re here as well?”
“What do you mean by that? Of course, I would be here. Who do you think found you after that bitch Ajay exploded you to pieces? It was none other than me! And it was a good thing I discovered you when I did, otherwise, the cops would have found your ruined body. I brought you to Master Odok because I knew that there was a chance of you recovering if your Psionic Scorpion was still alive. So how are you feeling?”
Anna raised her arms out of the water and showed them off. “Take a good look. I’m much better now.”
“Thank goodness!” Ember dashed her face into Anna’s bosom while griping her firmly as tears of relief swam out of her eyes. [Sob! Sob!] “I was so worried that you wouldn’t make it. You were in tatters when I found you. Luckily, your head was still safe.”
“Yes, you did well, my minion. Here is your reward.” [Tap! Tap! Tap!] Anna paid Ember her thanks by patting her on the back. “This is the third time you’ve rescued me from reaching hell peacefully. Good job, good job.”
[Sob! Sob!] Ember continued to cry her eyes out. “WAAAH! Life would be so boring without you, boss!”
“Yeah, yeah, I know. You can stop watering my breasts now. Save your moistures before you dehydrate.”
“Hum, okay.” Ember slowly withdrew her head from Anna’s bosom as she wiped her eyes. “Boss, if you want my help in dealing with that Crimson Scorpion please don’t hesitate to ask.”
“Don’t worry. Whenever I decide to go after her, I’ll make sure to take you with me.” Anna observed her body. Recognizing that she was close to peak condition, she stepped out of the Abyss Water. [Splash!] A lot of bubbles were kicking up in the arcane bath. The myriads of miniscule scorpions within were upset that they couldn’t love Anna’s tasty flesh some more.
Anna swift recovery was mostly due to the Gold and Black Psionic Scorpions that were sleeping in her cerebral flesh. These arcane objects, especially the Black Psionic Scorpion was extremely versed in body restoration. It also made her capable of using the Shadow Crawler ability. As for Anna’s Gold Psionic Scorpion, she seldom used it due to the excruciating clash that would usually occur.
Majority of the league’s assassins were only capable of hosting one Psionic Scorpion in their heads. If by chance they attempt to implant another then those existing Psionic Scorpions would clash, causing their host’s head to explode.
Anna was a special case who accidentally merged with a rare Psionic Scorpion when she was very young. Due to this, her body grew accustomed over time to be able to host a second Psionic Scorpion. Usually, the Black Scorpions had to train for a decade and only after becoming a Coloured Scorpion did they assimilate with a Psionic Scorpion that matched their unique constitution.
Anna being able to merge with both Black and Gold Psionic Scorpion was how she acquired the moniker, Tainted Scorpion instead of Golden Scorpion which was the colour of her armour.

Andrew suddenly finds himself alone in world that is not his own. The creatures are hostile and unfamiliar, the land around him unrecognizable. He will have to work hard to explore the wilderness he has found himself in, to unravel the ancient magics of this world, and to create a safe place for the others lost in a foreign world like himself. This is also the first fiction I've written and I'm always working on improving my writing so all feedack is appreciated and taken into account. Discord
