Ice fairy's Pov

I sit in my cage in semidarkness. A little light emerges from the bottom.

An ice sculpture castle stands in front of me.

Beside me plays the fat yeti boss with his band while driving.

Yeah of course at first I protested against the cage but the fat monkey ignored me.

When I began whining they put a towel over my cage.

So I grew bored and began building.

My castle is constructed to be a flying one. It doesn't really fly.... I am not that good but it's pretty awesome. It's pulled by flying lions...In my fantasy they only eat flying reindeers so they can continue flying.

The whole construction isn't supposed to land so the top and bottom of the disc is covered with towers..... Or are they towers when they point to the ground?

The monstrosity I built rests on a stative.

Working on this kind of projects helps me thinking.......

Poor me! I only wanted a man.... I am not even picky about the size but my fate is to become a cow for these beasts.....

Doesn't someone need to be pregnant before giving milk?

I am not sure if fairies can even get children..... . In my case I don't think I have a mother. Where do fairies come from? The only thing I saw was the drone of the crazy geezer.....

 Do I come from a fish-tank in a laboratory? This certainly would explain the little common knowledge I have.....But I don't remember that there was anything except the console, the drone on the plateau and of course my gorgeous godfather (fairy man ch1(Mr. dreamy)).

I am certain it has something to do with pixie dust. The drone mentioned it.....Hm...

Anyway let's assume I can get pregnant. I am quite certain that there are 2 genders of fairies and these two cherry sized things can't be attached to me for nothing.

This would mean I can get an ugly, fury, little yeti baby with wings. Imagining something like that makes me want to puke.

Sure you can now claim that it is anatomical impossible but there are ways..... For example what if they let me swim in their.......

No, let's don't think any further. It's a waste of time... Think about ways to break out before they can even come up with such things.

Hm.....

Metal is some kind of ice isn't it? It's hard and can be molten. Maybe I can change its structure.....

I try it on a little portion of the floor and get some kind of feeling from the structure but nothing happens. Maybe I should work on that. But not now.... The longer I am here, the further away my destination is. I don't have any time to master metal.

The yeti band comes to an end and I hear someone completely out of breath beside me.

I hurry to destroy my art. No one should know what I am capable of. A thin layer of ice covers the floor in the end.

The towel vanishes and instead a face as big as me looks down at my figure. It's dominated by its grinning mouth but the smile doesn't reach its eyes behind the sunglasses. He wipes the sweat with the towel away.

(fat yeti boss)

"Sweet Lady it's time for your big appearance! The stage is yours. So tell me what are you? "

(I, Ice fairy grumpily)

"It's none of your business. Maybe I'll tell you if you free me from this cage. Monkey! "

A low tune is played on the instrument

(fat yeti boss)

"Little lady I am no fiend. I only want to talk to you and maybe we can play music together. "

(I, Ice fairy)

"Play music together? You want me to cooperate with you by locking me up? I envy your sense for strategy.

What is the adventage of confining me in this cage?Where should I go? How should I escape? My wingss are a mess and I can't reach any town from here."

(fat yeti boss)

"There are people who throw tomatoes and there are people who throw flowers. I don't know who you will run into in the future but my music is an eccentric one. There are more tomato throwers than flower girls in the first row."

He plays a short swing on his sax

(fat yeti boss)

"If my suspicion about your race is correct I can't underestimate you."

(I, Ice fairy)

"(aggressive) Pff....Why should you know what I am. There hasn't been someone of my kind here for a long time. "

(Fat yeti boss)

"Yeah, I thought so.

Let me tell you a story. "

The yeti gives a sign to the band and silent background music begins.

(fat yeti boss)

"I once heard a song about the time before the cold winter. Before this cursed last day. Before mushroom day!

Did you know that the weather changed 4 times a year in the past?

Winter, Autumn, Summer and Spring. These were the names of the seasons. 

Winter was cold, very similar to the present

In autumn the trees lost their leaves. I don't even know what leaves are, but imagine:

A naked tree without any firs and it's alive.

In Spring flowers bloomed on land. Ice flowers on land! Picture it.

The last and most outstanding season was:

Summer. Summer was a hot season. It was much hotter than now and there was no snow. It was so hot that people bathed in lakes. Can you imagine that? People who bath outside, without getting frozen instantly? "

I imagine bathing with some fairies at home. Fantastic! It would be wonderful! Wait a moment....The cold doesn't matter in my case: I could even swim in solid ice. I am an ice fairy! I know what I’ll do when I get the chance.

The corners of my mouth want to rise but I suppress it. I won't show one smile in this cage and give him the satisfaction.

(I, Ice fairy)

"I have heard something similar. What about it? "

The yeti boss plays a tune

(big yet boss)

"I haven't finished my piece yet. The song also claims that nature spirits were responsible for these seasons. They lived in a land far, far away and I suspect that you are a winter nature spirit.

He plays a short tune to underline his suspicion.

A complicated expression spreads over my face.

(I, Ice fairy)

"Why do you believe such a ridiculous thing?"

(big yeti boss)

"For starters you made it snow while flying. Then you didn't fear us although we surrounded you and last:

Why is there ice in your cage?"

He puts his instrument to his lips. I press mine together and a thin line forms.

The big boss stops in the middleoif his movement.

A quick glance over his glasses catches me.

(Fat yeti boss)

"Am I right, little Lady?"

(I, Ice fairy)

"What would happen if I told you that I am such a creature?"

An awful smile spreads over his features.

(big fat yeti)

"Sweet little lady you don't understand the situation.

We all were forced to live in a cold lifeless world. It's cold and the songs lack live since 500 years.

'Winter' dominates it. Your clan or wathever you call it would be responsible for this season. This clan would be most probably accountable for the extinction of all the other seasons too."

He plays a sad song.

Does he make me responsible for this mess? I wasn't even alive when the world turned to ice...

(big fat yeti)

“Maybe you are even one of the main culprits.”

Does he really think I look like a 500 year old grandmother?

I am not nearly as old as ginger fairy! Okay she held up pretty good for a being of 500 years. I mean she doesn't look a day older than a 25 year old human but this is beside the point.

I am no old hag!

(I, Ice fairy)

"Do I look like a 500 year old hag to you?"

(fat yeti boss)

"I didn't say that, sweet Lady, but I must confess that I don't know what a 500 year old nature spirit or, what you call it, "fairy" looks like."

That does it.

(I, ice fairy)

"You fat, stupid monkey! You wouldn't even know what a real woman looks like when you see one without these sun glasses of yours!"

He rolls his eyes.

I throw a snow ball.

Angry eyes meet my own.

The fat one struggles with his temper.

The creepy monkey at his side wants to throw himself at me but the fat one shortens the chain.

He gives a sign. Semidarkness envelopes me again.

Aggressive saxophone music begins playing.
