Chapter 6 Like Cat and Mouse
Ice fairy's Pov:
In Wilson's room:
Damn this old man! He and his soap opera! He left me alone in this wide cave. His wife and this cursed pearl are in front of me. I kick the shining ball.
Oh what's this? It's open at the bottom. The inside is cushioned...Hm; it looks like you have to put it onto your head, like a helmet.
I lift it from the floor and try it on. It is really big and doesn't fit well. So I have to hold it with both hands.
Inside of the helmet a blue screen appears. It says:
Wilson:
Wireless

The positive vibes should be with you, bro!
What's the password?
Looks like Wilson is the old guy's computer. Why does he even have a Password? I mean he is completely alone. Except once in 50 years.
Let's try to guess the geezer's security code. How about: Wilson
Sry bro. Try it another time:
Then: Wife
Good choice!
This was pretty easy....No place for creativity.
The screen comes to life. A desktop builds up but the background is.....
No! No! No! I tear the helmet from my head and smash it into the floor. It jumps one time, rolls a bit and then stays in one place.
I will never, never!, again even take a look at this cursed artefact.
It was pure horror:
The background showed me the crazy geezer and you guessed it his wife. It was a little too intimate for my taste.
Never again!
Curse this thing. Who the hell has such a background?
I am sure I will never get this picture out of my head, although when I think about the next room... There could be a solution.

I don't mean my prince. My memories should stay pure pink every time he comes to my mind.
My eyes focus on the second hibernation chamber which belongs to the ginger fairy. I go to the capsule and look through the window wickedly.
How should I best show her that a good body is not everything?
I put one hand in my bag and pull something out. A smile appears on my face. With this I can get two flies with one clap.
My hands move quickly. They open the coffin like apparatus. I put something in the mouth of the big breasted fairy.
I look happily at my work when a heavy breathing kills my joy. I hear a *tuut* *tuut*.
How does the cookie train come in here? Aren't there stairs?
I turn around.
A big cat stands in front of me. Its height is the same as a normal house cat which is a giant compared to a fairy. (My head reaches its shoulder)
The whole cat is made from ginger bread. Two smoking chimneys are on its back.
Over its whole body is a chain mail made from jaw crushers. The face is made in the same way the soldier's faces were made.
On top of its hat is a little, brown, white, human shaped mass riding this thing.
The cat is directly placed between me and the door. There's no chance to get through directly.
(Gingerbread Cat)
"Maaaaauuuuuuuuu!"
The cat lays its ears on the head. Its tail is between its legs.
Two transparent balls of gelantine sparkle in the dark.
A big paw tries to hit me. I jump over it.
I sprint behind the ice master's chamber and put my back as flat as possible to the wall.
The candy animal is too big to catch me. I can only see the paws with its rainbow coloured, candy cane claws trying to reach me.

My heart is razing.
I use thick ice and freeze the front paws in place. A terrible scream comes from the monster. The cat tries to free itself without any success.
There is only one possible route. I climb over the master's chamber. Seeing the sugary monster struggling I start laughing:
(I, Ice fairy)
"Hahaha, the mouse catches the cat!"
The amount of steam increases. My ears hear something cracking. It couldn't be the ice.... I made it so hard that even a human 5 year old shouldn't be able break it.
I hurry to the exit and reach it.
Something tears. The monster falls back, destroying the console.
The white, brown mass clings onto the ears and manages to stay on top of the giant.
The little figure pulls the ears, while pointing with its spear at me. Its pet struggles to stand up but it slips on the smooth floor.
What's this? The ice didn't break but it sacrificed its own feet for freedom.
I hurry to the staircase. The stairs won't be able to support the weight of the giant and climbing a wall without any front legs is pretty difficult.
I run with all my might. I hear a growl behind me. The monster positions its hind legs.
I support my feet with my wings to push myself forward.
The cat pushes its front body with its back legs in my direction.
I jump while flapping my insect wings as hard as possible.
The cat opens its mouth.
Only a little further.
Success! My legs touch the stairs. I immediately continue running.
I hear a
*Pfffffffffff*
And then
*Bang* the monster smashes under me into the stairs. The staircase breaks and the gingerbread animal stays still.
I won't wait until this beast wakes up again.
I keep running.

Bitter
The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one. Schedule: Story has been completed. Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB. Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon. Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.

What's This Fiction ? A Very Incomplete Project.
A fiction about itself and it's writer. Which is a very narcissic choice from the author, really, couldn't he have written anything else ? The cover was hastily made on gimp by the author. He has no rights to the image used on it. He doesn't have the artist's agreement for using it, either. Because he has no idea who's the artist.
