《Diasori Dynasty: The World's Last Heroes》Chapter 6: Chikándra

I was just in the middle of an amazing dive as I turned my head to the right and what I saw would have probably gave me three days worth of nightmare. The lava was still there and all but what else was there was shocking.

If the word demon meant the most beautiful thing alive than this would be the complete opposite of the word, a demon. It wasn't hideous where you would throw up but in the situation I was currently in, that's how I felt.

There was a monster looking thing that was merging out of the lava. It had a head that looked like a goat and a body of a human that took steroids for a living. It's legs were of a horse and it's eyes looked like it could suck you up anytime. It had horns that wasn't straight but rather it had horns that made a spiral giving off a feeling of a demon that came from hell.

When I saw the lava erupt I thought it was the scariest moment of my life or second life but seeing this is making it seem like I'm comparing a snake to a full grown dragon ready to eat and devour anything in its way.

It was about the height of three average sized human stacked on top of one another and it had a width of two bulls if they were standing up.

It was facing off at another direction where I wasn't at which was probably the one of the only good thing about this monster. The other good thing was that it was quite a distance away where it wouldn't hear my speeches if I talked in a low enough voice.

It completely emerged out of the lava before it did the most terrifying thing it could possibly do. It slightly shifted its head a little to the left which was the direction where I was at. It's eyes were getting larger as if he was about to search for someone.

I was just ready to piss my pants until my head hit something. My face went straight down onto the ground where I initially planned to land on so that was the good part. The bad part was that the monster was still there and I didn't have any single knowledge on it.

I knew that something was wrong and that I should do something quick or else the lava will be the least of my worries. I couldn't go around it as the lava was still surrounding the place and if I did enter the lava, I wouldn't know if I would wake up from this dream or if I would die and enter a forever lasting dream.

So I stood up and put my back across the wall of dirt and decided to do the only thing I could. Which was to ask the spirit what was happening.

I didn't know if he would reply but it was the only thing I could do.

"So um.. spirit?" I said this but didn't say anything else as I wanted his attention first instead of getting straight to the point hoping to not seem impatient or rude to the spirit.

After I said that, there was a moment of silence.

It would have been even more perfect if crickets all of a sudden started making the noises commonly known to mankind.

I stood there wondering why he didn't answer but then I remembered when he replied out of nowhere when I said the word god.

It was a very small chance but if I worked once, it will work again.

"So um God... are you here?"

[Oh yeah my bad. What do you want?]

I'm stood there not knowing if I should rather be laughing or to ignore the fact that he only respond with the word god.

"I have a question?"

[What is it human?]

I didn't appreciate the fact that he talked to me as if he was a higher existence than me but I was really desperate so I didn't want to question him.

I just replied with a question, "What is that monster that just emerged from the lava?".

The spirit stayed quiet for a while making it seem like he was searching through his memories until he answered with one word, or rather a name.

[Chikándra]

When I heard the name it sounded like it was spoken in slow motion by the spirit.

I was expecting him to say more about this so called Chikándra but seeing that he wasn't going to, I asked him another question or rather two.

"Why is it here? What does it do?"

The spirit answered rather quickly this time.

[I don't know the answer to the first but for the latter I do. It is a monster normally used by evil-doers no matter which world you are in. It is created through a demonic ritual where many people gets sacrificed in order to create it. It is a rather strong enemy and I suggest you stay on the low for the moment. As for the question you asked first. As I said I don't really know why it is here as there don't seem to be any other living beings in this weird world other than you.]

I stood there also wondering why it was here after what the spirit or the self proclaimed god said.

I originally planned on staying on the low in the first place so that was easy done. I stood there not knowing what to do in this small piece of land so I did the only thing to do.

I finally had the chance to rest after all of the running so I took it. I laid on my back giving my whole body the chance to rest. After resting for a little bit I started feeling the after effect of running for a too long period of time. My body was getting very sore everywhere as if it couldn't contain it no longer. I wanted to yell on top of my lungs when all of a sudden one of my muscles clamped up but I had to endure it as I was worried about the Chikándra hearing me. That is if he hadn't yet.

I was about to rest for a little longer then go check on the Chikándra after my muscles rested enough until my rest was happily interrupted by the spirit.

[Get up right now if you want to survive.]

I was really confused so I asked him, "Why do you want me to stand up for?". My body was still quite sore so I didn't want to move unless I had to.

The spirit then replied immediately, [The Chikándra is coming your way and unless you want to die, I suggest that you stand up and listen to my instructions.]

I really didn't want to die a second time so I got up without questioning a second time. I stood up and then I heard something moving.

It wasn't the lava as the noise was a thing that could be easily recognized by me by after spending so much amazing time with it. It sounded more like a monster moving step by step closer to me.

I could tell even without looking at it that it was the Chikándra as it was making sounds that horse hooves would make. Many hooves make similar sound as horses but I knew the sound as if it was the back of my hand.

I was naturally used to the sound of horses as my grandparents lived in a farm and I visited that place almost every year when I was still alive that is. Thinking of this made me a little sad that I wouldn't get to see my old family members anymore. I was getting a little emotional but I forced it vanish as I was in the middle of a life and death situation so it wasn't the right time to start crying all of a sudden.

"What do I do God?"

It was a little awkward calling someone else God other than the one you believe in but I could tell that he wasn't lying or else he wouldn't be able to help me reincarnate and live again.

I asked him the question without holding back or hesitating as my life was the most precious thing I had at the moment so holding back would just be a stupid thing to do.

Without any sound of being any bit single worried, the spirit replied with the most mind blowing answer ever.

Even if I was a maniac and I was crazy, I would have never guessed that he or she would have said this.

[Jump into the lava.]

I just stood there in complete silence not knowing if he was being serious or not. I had considered it before but I didn't really want to risk it so it always went to the back of my head.

I knew that the Chikándra was coming towards me but I still wanted to ask a question as I wasn't sure if jumping into the lava is the only way out of this situation.

"Will jumping in the lava kill me and cause me unable to reincarnate or will I wake up from this dream of mine?"

[I don't know what will happen.]

"Then why do you want me to do it for?"

[It is the best chance you have. I may not know what will happen but I have a clue of what's going on.]

I was waiting for him to continue but it seemed like he was doing another one of his infamous pauses.

"So... um... what's going on?"

[You are currently in your physical energy world. Each world is unique so some have many strange thing in theirs but this doesn't seem to be the case. Rather it seems like this was planted in you the moment you were born as if someone knew that this was going to happen.]

I searched through my memories in a flash hoping to get a clue on who would do this but I had nothing.

"Are you sure it happened the moment that I was born?"

The spirit then said with a confidence voice, [I am absolutely sure. If someone would to plant a monster in your body than it would have to mature with you as only infants can be planted as they don't show any sign of having ever cultivated before. This seems to be around the same age as you so no doubt that this was planted at around the time of your birth.]

I started scratching my head in confusion for a while before having another question.

"Why is there lava?"

[It was naturally a part of your physical energy it seems. As I said the world is unique to every person so based off of this, you are of the element fire. Physical energy is more like the thing that gives you your elemental powers.]

I was more confused by this so I asked him another question.

"What can it do for me?"

[This will be the last question answered as the Chikándra is almost here. Pretend that you are using a bow. If used correctly than you could channel your physical energy into it and make the arrows transform into glaring arrows.]

It sounded like something off of a rpg game. I had more questions but the spirit sounded very worried this time around.

I stretched my body in order to prepare for what was about to go go down and then I walked towards the edge of the safety area from the lava.

"Do I have to do this?"

[Yes you do, now no more questions!]

I was still very nervous so I took some deep breaths in and out. I calmed my mind and I was just about to enter the zen mode but then I realized how stupid this was.

"I don't want to do it!"

[Ok fine then.]

I was confused on why he didn't insist me to like the last time.

"What's up?"

[He is only two meters away so go ahead and waste your second life by not listening to me.]

Hearing that made my fear of jumping in change to the fear of dying again. I was hesitating a lot but it was too late for that so I did the thing that couldn't be stopped or reserved no matter what.

I did a cannonball straight towards the lava. I did so as to help me to forget about the things that could happen if it didn't work out the way as planned by the spirit and it helped me to imagine that I was jumping into a pool of water rather than a river of lava.

The moment I landed was the moment things changed. The sound coming from the lava sounded as if it was a bubble that popped and it came from a witch's pot.

My body got submerged into the lava and my body was feeling so much pain that it would be inexpressible. My body was clearly burning and turning into nothing but I still had my consciousness.

My head was the only thing not submerged so I just took deep breaths even after coming into the lava. I was praying and hoping that it would work and that it wouldn't kill me and ruin the chance of second life.

[Hold up... were you supposed to jump in the lava? I don't know if you should have.]
