“Hey, look at that giant tornado”
“Wait, what!? Is it approaching us?”
Everyone started panicking and losing control. They were gently reminded to stay calm and on their seats but the advice was not followed. Presumably all on their verge of death, chaos was imminent. And out of nowhere… Daniel woke up.
He was pretty excited about the day, since it was a special one. He was all eager and couldn’t wait any longer. He quickly got out of bed and started getting ready. Daniel followed the same routine as he always did; getting to the bathroom, brushing his teeth, getting ready and praying. Praying always helped him. It was like his lucky charm and he couldn’t start the day properly without it.
Dan lived with his grandma since both his parents died long ago. His grandma had lost her husband on the war as well so Daniel’s addition to her life was more than a treat for her. It had been a long time since they were living together and his grandma knew by now when something wasn’t right, and on that moment Dan was feeling perplexed.
“Is there anything wrong, my dear?” asked his grandma.
“Oh, no. I’m just kinda nervous about the flight that’s all. But pretty enthusiastic nevertheless.” responded Daniel.
“As you should. When you first told me about this, you know I didn’t take it quite well, but when I saw how passionate you were about it I couldn’t possibly disagree. However, that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t be worried, also considering past events. I don’t wanna lose you too.”
“And you won’t granny. We went through this multiple times, we chose the best airline and they’re 100% sure that it’s gonna be alright. So don’t worry in vain.”
“Yeah, I know. But that’s beyond the point, I meant that something is off with you today. Did anything happen?”

“I just had a bad dream.” replied Dan “I won’t let it affect my mood tho.”
“That sounds more like it. Make sure to eat that all and get ready cause your friends should be here at any time.”
“Yes grandma.”
The rest of the meal was silent. Daniel finished his food and got ready. He really meant it when he said that the nightmare wouldn’t disturb him at all, he was just focused on what was about to come.
Then suddenly the bell rang and at the door were two of his friends waiting. Lucas and Anna. In total there were 5 people who agreed to this vacation. They were about to have an unforgettable summer camp. At the moment only Lucas, Anna and Daniel were going to the place since Noah and Rachel agreed to meet them there. Without any further ado the went straight to the airport right as Dan gave her grandma the goodbye kiss.
All in all, they were pretty keen to this, especially Anna. So, to get this straight, Daniel only agreed to this whole thing just because of her. Dan had had a crush on her these past months and he thought he could consolidate this whole thing up during this vacation. That’s one of the major reasons. The other one of course is to surpass his fear of flights.
“Yo, don’t tell me you aren’t excited about finally riding a horse.” said Lucas.
“Oh, definitely. That’s what I was most excited about.” replied Daniel.
“I can sense a tone of sarcasm there. You know this is gonna be amazing, right?”
“I can’t wait. I just wanna get past that flight first then I’ll gladly handle whatever comes.”
They said their goodbyes to Lucas’ parents and were on their way to the airplane.

“I can’t do this.” said Dan suddenly.
“Come on, we are almost there. Plus, you don’t wanna chicken out in front of her, right?” whispered Lucas.
“Anything wrong guys?” said Anna.
“Oh no, nothing. We were just discussing something real quick.” replied Dan.
And they all went aboard the plane. It wasn’t so bad at all. As soon as he sat on a seat, the fear had almost vanished completely. The three of them took seats close to each other and in no time the airplane was about to take off.
“I really missed Rachel and Noah.” said Anna. “Hope they’re doing great and that they missed us likewise. It’s gonna be fun in there, I can’t wait.”
“Oh yeah, same. I’ve always wanted to ride a h—“ Lucas gave Dan a quick look “I’ve always wanted to go canoeing. I heard it’s pretty fun.” responded Dan.
“No way, me too! I really like team-work type of sports and the adrenaline you get in that moment is something out of this world.” replied Anna.
“Well, I’m gonna go have a nap in the meantime. I figured that would be the best way to pass time.” said Dan.
“Do you wanna have the window seat?” said Lucas. “Don’t tell me you want to miss all those beautiful sceneries.”
“It’s mostly freaking clouds. But thanks anyways, I think I’ll be fine.”
And so Daniel took a quick nap. He started thinking that this wasn’t a bad idea after all and that flights weren’t that scary. He was only thinking about ways to get closer to Anna during the camp.
It didn’t take much however and he got woken up by Lucas.
“Hey, look at that giant tornado”
“Oh, no.” replied Dan.
“Wait what, is it approaching us!?” screamed Anna.
“Oh, no.” said Dan. “This is all too real.”
But there was no doubt about it, almost near their destination they had gotten cut off but a tornado. Everyone started panicking whilst Dan just sat there contemplating.
“This is messed up.” he said.
“I don’t wanna die!” screamed Lucas.
Then out of nowhere everything went black. After a couple of hours Daniel woke up, just to find himself, Lucas and Anna lost in an island.
There was no sign of other people, nor the airplane. Just the three of them.
“Not again..” said Daniel.

Forced Development (What does it truly mean to live a fulfilling life?)
To get things started I would like to admit that this story does not bring much new to the table when it comes to the over-saturated Litrpg genre in terms of things like mechanics and power systems. Then what exactly am I trying to bring to the table with this work? A nice slow-paced novel about people maturing and growing older think of it as the re: zero or jobless reincarnation of Litrpgs. A story that tries to take into consideration how a worldwide system would affect the economics and culture of a world. A story that is much more character-focused than the typical heavy progression-focused novels this genre is known for. The RPG system, like any good power system, is there to actually explore the themes of the story and not just as a plot device for characters to get stronger. This is a story where we will see the growth of the Mc from being a baby to when he dies of old age. With plenty of heart-racing actions and intriguing plot developments along the way. Exploring themes like; What does it mean to improve at something and what does it mean to mature as a person? How does magic, the constant threat of monsters and people so much stronger than the average joe that they can destroy countries affect one's culture both on the micro and the macro scale? How people are affected by the culture in general? Generational trauma Nature vs Nurture Talent vs hard work What is morality, society, and people's opinions on both? What does it mean to be human and what does it mean to be alive in the context of a world with multiple sapient species vastly different from one another in basic biology? All these questions are going to be explored from multiple angles using the system as a catalyst for those discussions. So if any of does questions sound interesting to you what are you waiting for, I'm sure you are going to love this story. PS - Chapter come out every Friday at about the same time.

Captain Critiques: A Grumpy Pirate Review Book
(CURRENTLY OPEN)When it comes to reviews, I'm probably as harsh as the hellhole most story ideas crawl out of. I'm blunt, sarcasic, to the point and I know what I like in a story. As you can probably guess, you don't wanna take my advice if your like an overprotective mother about your story. Who am I kidding, EVERYONE is like that about their stories. But, if you could find the courage to pry the story out of your cold, crabby hands so I can give my brutally honest opinion then be my guest. Just don't try and start a fight once I provide it. You DON'T wanna fight a pirate. .................................. I reserve the right to decline stories as this will be taking up quite a bit of my time and if I say no, I mean NO. If your blurb is unreadable I will decline it. If it includes the genres mentioned in my 'Hell No' section then I will send it back where it came from.Do NOT critique the Captain.
