《World Integration》Chapter 4: Friend Group

Albert Lee's smartphone was ringing seamlessly, without pause, unless the song track ends after the 3 minutes threshold, with the front phone screen laying neatly flat on top of the desktop table, near his own personal workstation.
And the phone is constantly vibrating, tapping on the hard wooden surface of the desktop table, thereby producing an irritable rhythmic tune that can't help but rather garner his absolute attention.
He then got up from where he is currently standing and walked on over towards the desktop table at the corner of his bedroom. He picked up the phone that is laying on top of the desktop table with his own hand.
Turning over the smartphone to face himself, which was laid front screen flat on the desktop table, to check for the name caller. And luckily for him, the phone number was already registered within his phone number contact list. Under the name of Damien Blake in bright bold text, withstanding brackets next to it that said best friend.
'Oh, it's Damien.' Albert Lee thought to himself.
He then pressed the answer call button on his smartphone and sliding the green circular button on the phone screen to answer Damien Blake's phone call.
"Yeah-hello!" Albert Lee said then placing the phone call on the loudspeaker to hear Damien Blake's voice much clearer.
"Hey, Albert!" Damien Blake said so over the phone rather excitedly as you could instinctively hear the thrill within his voice.
And then he said with a renewed sense of enthusiasm. "You won't believe this. Whatever just happened to me. After I was forcefully awakened as a player by the system. I unlocked the esper {Pyromancer} class."
Albert Lee then calmly responded back to Damien Blake over the phone. "Yeah, I know. The same kind of thing also happened to me as well. So how are you doing, Damien? It certainly has been a while now..." He then asked Damien Blake how well he was since it has been quite a while since the last talk to each other.
Albert Lee and Damien Blake have been best friend since the early start of high school, but they gradually grew a little bit apart after they went into college. The friend group has somewhat been disbanded but remained in contact with each other over social networking and the internet. With Albert Lee and Samir Sahid having gone to Xaverian College, whilst Damien Blake, Dave Rost, Gerald Quinn went to Manchester College for their sixth form study.

"Oh, that's right." Damien Blake suddenly remembered something as he then said, Albert Lee. "Don't forget that after this call end. Gerald would then open up a video group call, so you better accept the video call alright."
Albert Lee then responded over the phone, thanking him, "Thanks for giving me the heads up, Damien."
Afterwards, he said. "Would you please wait a couple of minutes so that I can go and turn on my personal laptop Video calls are much better done on pc than a mobile phone as the video quality is much better in general."?
"I gotcha. I let the other guys know before starting the group call." Damien Blake responded as he then immediately ends the phone call.
With the smartphone having suddenly gone silent after the phone call connection with Damien Blake was ceased, Albert Lee was then left withinside his bedroom all alone by himself. His thoughts then slowly drifted into the void, conscious but seamlessly absentminded.
'It has been roughly about 3 years now. I have not seen guys ever since I've left high school and occasionally meeting Samir because we chose to go to the same sixth form college. So I wonder how the other guys are doing...' Albert Lee thought so to himself. Afterwards, he slowly went towards his own workstation and found his old 400 £ laptop.
He then lifts the laptop screen monitor up off from its closed state, and then immediately presses the 'on' switch button, in the top right-hand corner of the laptop.
It took the laptop a couple of milliseconds for the old laptop to switch on. And it went from the off inactive black screen to the usual windows loading screen, and then finally ending up with the actual login screen, in which Albert Lee then enters in his login and password. The login detail was extremely simple. It was his hidden alias on the internet 'Tsuki Usaginoha' and his password is the date of birth in all caps and numbers.
And after having successfully login into his laptop, it took him some time for the laptop to automatically set up and load the default desktop.
The desktop background was an anime picture. It was that of Ichigo Kurosaki as a vastore lordes, the main protagonist from the anime Bleach, in his completely hollowfied form. It was quite amazingly cool and eyecatching for the desktop background.

After the desktop was completely set and an internet connection was thereby established. Albert Lee then quickly launches the WhatsApp messager application that was downloaded and already installed on his pc.
So when he went online, Albert Lee then immediately enters into his old friend's group chat and send a text message to the whole group to alert them that he was here. He then types in 'I'm online' into the group chat. So for the other side to be immediately ready, and when all of the participants are present here, in order to launch the group live video chat.
Damien Blake then typed into the group chat 'Gerald' thereby giving him the okay signal to go ahead and start the live group video chat.
Gerald Quinn then immediately started a live group chat from his side, and all the rest of the people then accepts the invitation to join the live group video chat. In together there are six people in total, so the laptop screen is thereby split into six individual video camera boxes. Each displaying the respective side and live video feed of one of the six live video group chat participants.
"Heya, It's been a while hasn't it." Dave Rost spoke over the live video group chat, with a slight smile plastered on his face.
Dave Rost's facial features have noticeably gotten a little bit better, growing out a short shrubby beard. With a far more prominent moustache due to his dark brown hair colour complexion.
He was wearing a red and black coloured checked shirt and long blue jeans. Giving off a much manlier masculine complexion when compared to Albert Lee who just simply wore a grey t-shirt and some dark blue shorts. Albert Lee is the second oldest within the group and was currently 19 years old. So Dave Rost is now currently 18 years old being the youngest one within the friend group who is currently participating in this group call.
"Yeah." Damien Blake responded, with a wide smile and grin, wearing a black hoodie. Whilst, Gerald Quinn is wearing a similar type of clothing, but the exact opposite colour of black. A white hoodie.
"It has been." Gerald Quinn commented over the live video group chat.
There are 2 white male, 1 black person, and the rest and final 3 are Asian. The Asian are consist of those that have immigrated from Middle-eastern Asia, South Asia, and South-eastern Asia. So basically half of the people that are in the friend group are totally Asian.
"Heyo." Albert Lee quietly said, whilst waving his hand around slightly, which somehow manages to catch the other people's attention.
The people within the live video group chat then turned to look at Albert Lee's figure over the live video call. Someone in the group chat then said, "You look exactly the same as the time when we have finished and left high school."
Albert Lee then nonchalantly responded, without a thought in the world. "Well, it's only been three years since we last saw each other. And three years is certainly not that long for us to greatly differ in appearance from our original upperclassman years and old self. And us Asian people usually age much slower than you guys in the west, thereby keeping our young person look."
"Yeah." Samir Sahid and Anik Mahmud both somewhat agree with his statement, but Anik Mahmud interjected. "It's only your type of Asian Albert that certainly follows that stereotype, not ours." He commented.
And then everyone then turned towards Anik Mahmud's direction in the bottom right-hand corner of the live video group chat.
'Who is that in the group chat.' This is what most of the people in the group chat first thought and then it clicked in. 'Holy shit! It's Anik. And he looks so different.'
Gone are the days when he is labelled a fatty. Anik Mahmud has certainly lost his chubbiness, body weight, and belly fat, but what is most noticeable is that there are spikes growing from all over his body that he almost instinctively look likes a humanoid shape hedgehog.
"What happened to you?" Damien Blake asked, without a somewhat concern look on his face, but at the same time can't contain his undying laughter from bearing out.
