《God's Death》Chapter 3 - Leaving

"Hard time? Hah!"
Gorgo holds up his fist, and does some gesture with his middle finger. The other humans take notice and step away to give him space.
Was that some sort of secret code!?!
A way for him to bypass god's language blessing?
These humans are too much!
A line of sweat begins to form on my forehead
His wits are better then I gave him credit for!???
To think he could formulate a code in such a short time, and get everyone to learn it... while I was unconsious...
I have underestimated my opponent! I shouldn't of shook his hand!
Now it'll be suspicious if I back out....
"I wisum--"
Gorgo stutters a bit, after looking at me? My stomach hurts and I have a bad feeling now... Great!
Gorgo coughs and continues.
"I will now summon the gate!"
After looking around a bit, I notice none of them are carrying any luggage, I wonder how they sto-
My mouth once again opens, but the woman from before helps me close it.
Gorgo is digging his hand around a black portal!? that came out of nowhere... it's not possible...
It's even 3x bigger than my creators portal... but I assume that means he has less control over it.
Gorgo looks at me and says
"The bigger the portal is, the more things you can fit inside of it.... it is a representation of your soul."
Did you just read my mind? Please answer me!
I'm feeling even less confident now...
if that's even possible...
With my infinite wisdom, I do what any other person would do and say
"HOW!??!?!?!?"
Gorgo raises his eyebrow...
he then looks me dead in the eyes. And my power as a god activates... Something is coming, I'm not sure what! But I'm sure I won't like it!
No No No
Gorgo takes a deep breath...
Don't you dare!
"Magic"
FUUUUUUCK!!!!
"I see, interesting-"
"-but how did humans gain access to magic in a universe with none?"

Gorgo shrugs.
Why did I have to be God's servant!!!!
"Minerva can probably answer your question, she has tons of knowledge"
He starts blinking one eye at me, maybe signaling for them to kill me? Why does my stomach hurt! I'm God!
This has been less fun then I imagined, I wish I could turn back time... God is a big scammer.
The girl from earlier steps up, hmm so this is Minerva? I get more bad feelings... being God is..a tough job man.
"Long ago humans were nothing but disabled animals-"
At this point, I begin to pay less attention
"only hunting for food, seeking shelter in caves... in a constant struggle against the elements"
She then smiles
"But humans would not die from a plague, or while sitting in a cave... we are incredible survivors! Every generation someone was smarter than the last, and one day... something amazing happened"
"This memory has stuck with me, ever since I learned it from a crystal as a child, it's not an exact representation for what happened, but is the most likely cause of our evolution."
When she mentions the word child I zone out and thought back to the good old days... with just me and god...
I see nothing.
I hear nothing.
I feel nothing.
I am nothing.
It is beautiful. Not existing is incredible... until you are forced to exist.
Upon being 'born' I already had a full-grown adult body... and a crap ton of 'knowledge' but my recall of said knowledge is pretty 'fuzzy' the only thing I'm sure of is that my name is Gaia. I look at my creator, and my creator looks at me.
The first thing he does is make a sound.
"Hmph"
He then goes to sit on his throne, eyes dimming.... for many years.
I snap back into reality, my nostalgia fading.
Good ti- WAIT!!!! That was horrible!
I should really be listening more...
Tuning back into Minerva's little talk.

"-then the genius had the idea to make white noise to help the elderly sleep before people even had found shelter! Others thought him crazy, but he worked and worked on finding the perfect combination of rocks, he was banished from his tribe... for being lazy, but 10 years later he returned with flint and many other types of rocks. He banged them and banged them, and the elderly started passing out left and right! He was made to be the leader, but he ended up setting the entire village on fire, killing most the tribe off!"
She seems weirdly happy while talking about this...
"Knowing he would be punished for his witchery, he ran off and found other tribes... he convinced them he was a god by making fire with his rocks, but all of the places kept burning down... until one day he noticed that the rocks didn't catch on fire! He made a pit at the next tribe, and there was no spreading of fire. He made sure to be extra careful, people used it to survive harsh winters..."
She is talking far too fast!
Minerva takes a quick breather and continues.
"Long after he had died, another genius decided to cook his food on the fires... he was shunned from the tribe, for practicing witchcraft. But many attempts at other tribes later, the idea became very popular... our stomachs shrunk and our brains grew!-"
"More of us begin making our own shelters instead of living in caves, making stone tools... and this continued for thousands of years! Until we had advanced so much... we were actually killing ourselves, not learning from the lessons of our first genius... we poisoned ourselves with our luxuries... polluting the world. Long after the modern era... many random diseases started popping up... people stopped having kids... the world was in chaos.... but humans will always adapt!"
She seems to love talking about their history...
"We had spent forever mapping the human genome, and the main man that had started automating it with machines had long died.... damn his patents... it slowed us down a lot, but we abolished laws preventing us from using his technology in the name of saving humanity! Humanity on its last leg, we understood not only what genes caused disease... but had even begun to manipulate our own genome!"
WHAT!!!!
"We could make ourselves faster, more durable.... more hearts... more brains... give ourselves abilities! But it didn't help as much as we hoped, people were just bigger jerks and our situation on earth declined... but then we found a sort of comment, with complicated code- after decrypting this hidden portion of our genome we found something along the lines of-"
"Magical: False"
"So we simply changed it to true, and then we had access to magic... which let us go even deeper into the genom-"
"Enough!"
I feel like if I didn't stop her from talking she would of told me every single detail up until now... that may be an exaggeration, but I was beginning to think it would come to pass, I had got the message... humans were amazing! weeeeeeeee! I don't need to hear more about the feats of humans! It's depressing me....
Another realization hits me
Gorgo begins to talk and wave his hand in front of me, but I am deep in thought.
Wait... if the code for magic was in a comment...
In their genome...
Why didn't he just remove his comment!!!!!!!
Getting ready to start smashing my head into the ground once more... I notice I am falling backward... while I was thinking...Gorgo had pushed me into the black cube... that I didn't even realize he had summoned yet.
"Oh..."
Everything goes black.
