《Reincarnated in Another World as a Swordswoman》Ch.5 You should learn who I am

The nobles began to converse amongst themselves, chattering and drafting ideas with each other on what they should do.

Many of the nobles spoke their objections towards the whole ordeal. It was ridiculous that they would support a woman as their ruler.

Not to mention that she looked like she was only 15!

They didn’t think that following her would be a good idea, and they didn’t forget to let other nobles know about it.

“She’s only 15 at the least for god’s sake!”

“There’s no way I’m placing my trust in such a ruler”

“I’m siding against her”

Soon enough the nobles had split into two sides. One side was against the new queen, she had come to power too violently and didn’t agree with the idea of having a teenage girl on the throne. The other side however felt as though they could take advantage of this situation.

“A young and easily manipulated new queen? That’s just asking for a rise to power!” This was the thought that ran through every noble on this side. Tulip had the two sides put onto opposite ends of the throne room and then began to speak.

“I’m glad you’ve all come to a decision! Sadly a lot of you seem to be against me but that doesn’t matter.” Tulip was about to continue speaking when Duke Ennith interrupted her.

“Excuse me bi- your majesty.” Ennith cut his words, “But I believe this is pointless no? What good is it going to do if you find out who supports you openly and who doesn’t? It’s not like you can kill the nobles for having an opinion.”

Tulip glared at him with the ferocity of a tiger interrupted during her meal. She stepped forward towards him until she was directly in front of him, barely any space between them.

It should be known that the average height of this world was lower than earths, making Tulip’s usually average 5’7 actually rather imposing. She was around a couple inches taller than most of the men she had seen so far.

So when she got in Duke Ennith’s face, she looked down on him. Like a vulture mocking it’s decaying prey simply for trying to live.

“Say….When you have snakes in your garden, what do you do with them?”

Duke Ennith was perplexed but still answered, “Well I would have them killed, your majesty.”

“Mmm” Tulip seemed satisfied with that response and got out of Ennith’s face.

“Now, pick a side. Left, or right? Remember, there are no wrong answers.” Duke Ennith looked at the two sides, was she asking him where his allegiance lied?

Well the answer to that was obvious.

“I pick the right, your majesty.” Ennith sounded confident in his decision, he had made his choice and stood by it.

“Look onto the side you’ve chosen then, burn the image of every noble on the right into your eyes. You’ve chosen to side against me, and I respect that choice.” Tulip spoke softly and kindly, like a magnanimous better.

She’s nicer than I thought she was.

A sword suddenly ruptured through his stomach, going from his back out to his chest. Duke Ennith coughed up blood and collapsed to his knees on the floor, gasping for air.

“DUKE ENNITH AND EVERYONE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS ROOM IS A TRAITOR TO THE KINGDOM!” Tulip shouted. The audience was shocked.

She had just stabbed a duke!

Tulip squatted down and grabbed Ennith’s head, turning it to face her.

“Look at me Ennith. You should learn who I am.” Tulip stared into his fading eyes and watched as the light of his life faded, crumbling into nothingness. She then stood up and shouted.

“NOBLES ON THE LEFT. SHOW ME YOUR LOYALTY BY KILLING THE KINGDOMS TRAITORS.” Tulip let go of Duke Ennith’s head, allowing it to drop to the floor along with the rest of his body, and shouted again, letting her voice perforate the throne room.

The nobles were in a state of confusion and panic, was she mad?! How could she expect the nobles to kill each other?!

Tulip noticed this and made sure to give some incentives for the nobles, she signalled some of the guards to pick out a few of the lower rank nobles and kill them.

The guards were obviously not okay with this, wouldn’t they get executed for killing nobles?

However, they were more scared of making their new queen angry. So they complied, even if it would ruin them.

The nobles were slashed and maimed, their bodies crumpled to the floor in front of the others, creating a scene that shook the nobles into reality.

Our statuses can’t save us.

She doesn’t care.

A few of the nobles began to move towards the ones on the right, who had been fidgeting around for quite some time. And once the first punch was thrown, all hell broke loose.

Tulip smiled and walked back up to her throne, sitting back down on it and watching the carnage play out below her.

A few of the nobles attempted to run away through the exits, however they were promptly stopped by the guards and either thrown back in or killed depending on how they felt.

The rest of them all vigorously fought each other, clinching tooth and nail to not be the one who dies. They fought for a long 13 minutes, their will to live flashing in their eyes and their bodies flaring and aching from the sudden death match.

“Alright, let’s stop.” Tulip clapped her hands and gathered the attention of the surviving nobles, a few of them had a bit of a delayed reaction but still looked up nonetheless.

“Congratulations! You are the survivors from my supporters! You shall all be given appropriate compensation.” Tulip ordered one of the servants to bring along a large box, it was wheeled into the centre of the room and opened by the servants.

One of the nobles spoke, “This is….jewellery?”

“Jewellery? We’re forced to fight for our lives and we’re given JEWELLERY?!” Another noble began to shout.

“Of course, I believe it to be a good enough compensation for your amusing little play you all put on for me.” Tulip spoke.

“A…..a play?!” One of the nobles sounded outraged.

“Yes, a play. What else did you think I called all you fat idiots here for? All you nobles do is get richer and richer while your territory gets weaker! So I decided it was better to have no nobles at all.” Tulip stood up and looked down on them all.

“Now, applaud.”

The nobles shook with fear at the beast in front of them.

‘An easily manipulated 15 year old girl?’

What a dream we had.

She’s pure malice and evil incarnate!
