Tulip watched the last of the nobles leave the throne room, worn and tattered they stepped through the door with sweat drenching their once pristine clothes.

“Sigh…..” Tulip let out a long sigh and sunk into her throne.

Eloso, who had watched everything happen stood next to her quietly, still shivering from what he had seen.

Tulip looked to her left and glanced at Eloso, “Stop shaking Eloso, it’s not like I actually gathered them and made them fight just to amuse me. Though it was quite amusing.”

Eloso shuddered a little and looked up to his right, looking into the eyes of the queen.

“T-then why did you g-gather them, your majesty?” Eloso stuttered.

“Those nobles are all leeches on the economy and well being of this country, not to mention I had a small look at the treasury records this morning and found that a lot of the country's money was being used to satisfy their lavish idiocy.” Tulip clenched her hand and spat out.

“Selfish is the word we use to describe people like them, Eloso” Tulip stood up and walked to one of the large pane windows that were strewn across the walls of the throne room. Looking out of it and down onto the kingdom of Hadena below her.

“They sucked on the life force of the common people, making this country much weaker overall.” This was the first time Eloso had seen a somewhat soft face on Tulip, her face expressed a feeling of sadness, of empathy for the people.

“Sigh...you must think I’m a brute. First day on the throne and I make all the nobles kill each other…” Tulip inhaled a breath and let it out slowly.

Unbeknownst to her, a guard was approaching from behind, anger flaring in his eyes.

“FOR MY BROTHER!” The guard screamed as he ran at Tulip, aiming to thrust her out of the window.

“Your majesty!” Eloso reached his hand out, but it fell short and he tripped to the floor.

Tulip’s eyes didn’t even flinch, “You see…” She stepped to the side and pulled the guards arm forward. Throwing him out of the window with a swish.

“The sad thing about this world…..no, about every world Eloso…” Tulip held a hand out to Eloso and looked at him, shattered glass glistening behind her “...Is that some people can only speak one language, and mine can only be violence.”

Eloso took her hand but was too shocked to speak, ‘Some people can only speak one language...and hers can only be violence? But...why does she seem so sad?’

Eloso looked up to her and stuggled to bring out some words, “Your language is beautiful, my queen.”

Tulip gave him a bitter smile and muttered, “If only it were…” She helped Eloso up to his feet and began to walk to the front door of the throne room.

“Get the servants to clean this place up, if it’s not clean by the time I get back I’m amputating one of their limbs at random.”

The servants all simultaneously shuddered and got to cleaning the throne room up quickly.

Eloso stood where he had gotten up from, looking down at his hand.

“And hers can only be violence huh…” He grasped at the air and spoke to himself, “Then I’ll help and be your interpreter.”

The throne room doors smacked shut.

“Status.”

Tulip strolled through a vibrant garden, red roses and flowers of all kinds littered the bushes as the sun bathed them in it’s light. All the flowers were competing to get a bit taller than the others to drink on the sun, while the weaker flowers stuck near the bottom and slowly withered out.

“Still a question mark after my gender…” Tulip furrowed her brow but let it go and stepped over to a large oak tree with blue leaves.

“It’s certainly strange, but beautiful in it’s own way.” The cool shade provided a sharp contrast to the summer heat outside.

Flecks of sun drifted through the leaves as the tree branches swayed under the wind, bringing small patches of warmth onto Tulip as she sat against the thick of the tree.

“I need to learn more about the status system in this world, how are the stats like agility and strength counted? They’re obviously favoured to strength for me, why though?”

Tulip held a finger over her 0 magic stat and thought for a moment, “Why can’t I use magic either? I kinda wanted to play around with that.”

She sighed and tilted her head up to the leaves of the tree, looking at them dance with the wind and litter the air.

Tulip then suddenly paused and thought for a moment.

“Right, I should check the rest of my skills with observation.” She peered over to acting first and muttered “Observation.”

A screen similar to the status screen once again popped up, it detailed the effects of Acting.

Description:

A skill given to those who excel in fooling others with their actions and words.

Effects:

Trickster - Passive Skill - A believable fool. Increases resistance to pressure in social situations and improves the degree of believability in your actions when you aim to lie.

Degree of believability: +45%

“Well that’s handy, no wonder I’ve looked so believable as a tyrant in this world.”

Tulip then moved onto using observation on observation, which she thought was a bit weird that it worked but nonetheless she did it anyway.

Description:

A skill for the observant, helps to uncover hidden information about an object.

Effects:

Observation - Active Skill - A keen eye. Shows the truth behind an object, information given will depend on the level of the skill and the degree of importance the object has on the world around it.

“Degree of importance the object has on the world around it?” Tulip thought back to the enslavement bracelet and remembered that the owner's name had been crossed out.

“I’m around 70% sure that the king was the registered owner, does that mean that the information surrounding him wasn’t released due to his importance as a leader?” Tulip sat thinking for a moment but shook her head and gave up on it.

“Oh well, he’s dead now anyway. Out with the old and in with the eternal.” Tulip swiped away the observation description screen and used observation once more on her new skill, Intimidation. Though she could pretty much guess it’s effects already.

Description:

A skill given for people who bring fear on a consistent basis.

Effects:

Tyrant’s Domination - Active Skill - A lethal crackdown. When activated you will exert an indomitable pressure that inflicts mortal fear into everyone in a 15 metre radius around you. Skill will not work on people with a higher level of the same skill or if they have an iron mentality.

Tyrants Mercy - Passive Skill - A merciful tyrant. When sparing someone or showing compassion the spared person or persons will experience an improved degree of gratefulness towards you.

Degree of gratefulness: +15%

“That seems helpful, I’ll probably end up having to use that.” Tulip swiped away the screens and stood up, stretching her arms before getting ready to go back to the throne room.

But before she could take her third step, an explosion resounded out through the air. Seemingly shaking the sky and filling it with heat.

Tulip whipped around to see where it came from, a large stone tower was crumbling, shattered from across the castle, someone could be seen moving through the smoke.

And they seemed angry.
