Chapter Three - Touch Her and I'll Wreck You!
Meanwhile, Lucky Riot was currently experiencing a marvelous dream. In this dream, he was watching the illusion of a young alien scholar who appeared to be around 18 or 19 years old. The scholar would perform martial arts in a completely white space. The only other thing in this space was Lucky. It wasn't that this scholar looked very strange. Far from it, in fact, Lucky felt the scholar actually had an appearance around 80% similar to himself. His skin was a smooth chocolate brown tone, and he was rather tall over two meters in height. The scholar was currently practicing under huge golden hieroglyphics. Lucky had no idea what was written.
However, he was confident it should be the name of this technique! He decided to name it the golden symbol grand technique. This golden symbol grand technique had seven different kickboxing styles, and the man would just continuously practice the various moves incorporated within. After watching this a few hundred times, Lucky was incredibly bored.
How long must he study this?
The comprehension of martial techniques was measured in seven levels, starting at level one. These levels were called the Rudimentary, Initial, Peak initial, Mastery, Great Mastery, Perfection, and Great Perfection levels. Lucky felt he had already grasped the second-level understanding of this golden symbol grand technique, the initial comprehension level. How much more could he understand without real-time practice?
With nothing else to do, Lucky mimics the actions of the illusory man. Time passed, and he felt like he had spent months on end repeating these actions. From the initial level, his understanding evolved into peak initial comprehension. Before Lucky noticed, the blazing hieroglyphics in the sky above the illusory man rained down into his body. Afterward, the illusory man overlapped with Lucky's own image before slowly fusing with himself. It seemed to become one with Lucky without him noticing. This continued until the only thing in the white space was Lucky Riot practicing this new golden symbol technique.
His understanding of the technique had become completely thorough at some point! He knew the ins and outs of this golden symbol grand technique, as well as the strengths and weaknesses in various scenarios. It was as if he had been in countless battles using these skills. If he could practice with his real body reaching the mastery level was just a matter of time.
This left Lucky somewhat baffled. Practicing this set of skills should be incredibly comfortable in the future, thanks to this foresight! Was he some kind of hidden mystic arts genius?
After what seemed like an impossibly long time, he finally stopped and glanced around. He was shocked to discover there was nothing here but white emptiness! Lucky was speechless. Why was he even here at this point? At the same time that he realized this fact, the scene exploded like shattered glass, and Lucky slowly opened his eyes.
Divine Dragon Tactics: Primary Book!
This was the name that appeared in Lucky's mind after he woke up. 'This must have been what those mysterious blazing golden symbols said!'
"How mysterious...so the golden symbol grand technique was actually called Divine Dragon Tactics..." Lucky said to himself, "But only the Primary book? How lame. Will have to search for the next level in the future?"
Lucky was so amazed at how this wall would grant them a blessing every year. It had been years since they first arrived here. The first year both Capital and Lucky had received gifts! Capital's talent underwent earth-shaking changes! He charged straight up to the most talented person in his class! During the second year, Margot and Bravo had received blessings, and Margot awakened a star point and learned how to cast healing spells with spirit power! This news shook the whole city! An eight-year-old who could cast healing spells? Even if the spells were pathetic in strength, it was still the rarest occurrence. After all, how young was she? Gold covered in mud was still gold.

Bravo, on the other hand, was propelled to the next level. An eight-year-old at the second level of the Hard Body Mystic Stage was nearly unheard of in Nibiru City! Only two other children in the city could be compared, the Mayor's daughter Aubrey Graham and the Patriarch of the Sinatra clan's son, Caine Sinatra. To be compared with these two young geniuses of noble birth was Bravo's most significant achievement to date.
Ultimately, it was short-lived as Bravo's cultivation speed fell far behind the others in a short year, and eventually, his friends caught up with and surpassed him as well. Well, all of them except for Lucky Riot. Moreover, Bravo and Tony simply didn't feel Lucky was worthy of their continued association. If Maggie weren't so insistent, then Bravo would never allow himself to converse with such trash. Stuck at the second level for years? This was a man who would never accomplish more than being handsome. Some dandy who was bound to work as an escort to some power essence huntress in the future.
Of course, no one knew that Bravo thought this way or the reasons behind him doing so.
However, these feelings were only magnified by jealousy during the third year when the blessings went to Lucky alone! Both walls gifted him a blessing. His spirit power improved significantly! He went from only being able to maintain the Perceptive Force State for a few minutes, to become able to manage it for two hours!
Unfortunately, he didn't know what to do about this new talent. At least, that's what he would have said if he hadn't also learned a technique called profound scanning from the other wall's Sacred Blessing, along with one different technique. Profound scanning read the cultivation level of anyone in the same stage as the user with spiritual power. Unknown to Lucky, these sacred blessings were also benefitting his body in unique ways.
Nevertheless, profound scanning is the first spirit power ability Lucky gained. As such, he used it nonstop, all the time, every single time a person walked past him, he scanned them. Using it so often not only raised Lucky's proficiency in the technique, but it also slowly improved his spirit power. This just encouraged him to do it even more.
The next year was a repeat of the first year! Lucky's spirit power improved again, and he could maintain the perceptive force state for six hours before running out of spiritual power.
However, Capital seemed to only learn a set of fist techniques. They feared the wall had been bled dry, but they realized that they had greatly underestimated this fist technique set! After reaching initial proficiency in the skill and defeating everyone in their grade, Capital started challenging and beating upperclassmen.
That was when he debuted the first style of his Water God Fist Arts. Collapsing Waves Fist!
The fifth-year a blessing went to both Bravo and Capital. Bravo also started to become a little closer to Capital, and even Lucky too, as a result. Last year, Lucky received both blessings again, in spite of everyone coming together. He learned a profound movement technique called Divine Serpent Surfing the Skies, and his spirit power became strong enough for him to enter the Perceptive Force State for 16 hours consecutively.
This movement technique had five styles. Even though Lucky only practiced to the rudimentary level of the first style: Surfing Killer Moccasin Step, this alone was enough to make him so fast and flexible that not even those two levels above him could keep up!
Lucky had also received a blessing that he knew that he could only unlock once he reached the tenth level of the Hard Body Mystic Stage. As a result, he completely ignored this blessing.

Tenth level of the Hard Body Stage?
At the second level, it was still far too early to consider this.
However, Lucky couldn't wait to practice the first style of the Divine Dragon Tactics: Primary Book!
"Touch her, and I'll wreck you! Baleful Fang!"
"Huh?" Lucky Riot was woken up from his thoughts by this sudden outburst. He was shocked to see that Capp and Tony were beaten and bruised on the ground four meters away from where he lay with his back against the alley wall!
"How?!"
Meanwhile, Bravo Frenzy was fighting three boys his size like a madman. Standing at nearly 2 meters, Bravo was not small at all. This heavyweight fight was brutal! Bravo looked like a wild beast as he landed crisp strikes and kicks on the other three boys, ignoring the damage he received in return as they jumped him using martial arts and mystic arts. Bravo's eyes were feral and savage, as a baleful pressure was released from his body. This pressure made his opponents feel like death was approaching behind every strike.
It was terrifying!
They couldn't gain the advantage for now, but Bravo was bound to tire out soon.
Lucky's first reaction to this was to observe the fierceness of his friend. However, he very soon realized the crucial issue! That voice from before was clearly Bravo! His other two male friends had been thrashed, so the other person who received a blessing could only be one person! Lucky focused his sight behind Bravo, and he saw a little head full of blond hair. Margot's beautiful golden brown body lay there against the wall, and she wasn't conscious yet!
Without hesitating, Lucky joined the fray in seconds. He was impressed with himself, as he was able to casually move at the speed of a speeding car! This should typically be impossible at the second level of the Hardbody Stage. Had his battle power somehow increased even though his level was the same? He felt that his strength was easily four to five times as powerful as before. This meant that he could likely compete with mystic artists at the fourth level Hard Body Stage with relative ease. Even fighting a fifth level hard body might be possible!
Moreover, Lucky was now able to enter the perceptive force state for up to 32 hours before his spirit power would be in danger of being depleted. His proficiency over the Surfing Killer Moccasin Step seemed to have reached the peak initial level.
With his perceptive force state active, Lucky's spirit resonated with the natural essence of the world. This made his reactive and comprehensive speeds increase dramatically. Practicing mystic arts became increasingly more comfortable. He even learned the first style of the Water God Fist Arts, the Collapsing Waves Fist, from Capital without much trouble. This was due to the other spirit power he gained from the Sacred Blessing wall.
It wasn't that Capital saw fit to teach his friend his famed technique. Lucky learned by merely watching him practice! Thanks to a secret ability, Lucky never mentioned to anyone, copying others surpassed self-comprehension. To Capital's shock, during their spars, Lucky was never even half a step behind his own understanding of the technique. If anything, their post spar conversations would greatly benefit Capital in improving his mystic art.
Lucky may not have the talent for cultivating, but so what? He could learn high-level techniques, master them, and then jump levels to win. Did he have to have the best talent? As long as he cultivated diligently, Lucky believed he could reach the tenth level of the Hard Body Stage one day, just like the peak warriors. Then he would receive his hidden blessing and enter a new level of awesomeness.
Lucky Riot believed many things would change at that time.
However, now, his battle power already mysteriously increased. If he also used the Water God Fist Arts, how powerful would he be?
Lucky jumped up and executed Surfing Killer Moccasin Step covering the 25 meters of distance in mere seconds, appearing directly behind Bravo Frenzy just as the latter was knocked back a few feet by two vicious kicks that landed on his chest! Lucky shifted his weight and compressed his muscles before revolving his mystic essence into billowing layers flowing through his arm. He lowered his stance, launching out an aggressive left straight, the essence in his fist glowing with sky blue light.
Collapsing Wave Fist!
*Bam*
"Ah!!"
*Bang*
Two of the boys collided with Lucky's fist, and their noses shattered as they fell tumbling backward, crashing into the alley walls.
"What the hell, man!" The third young man was frightened and tripped over his own feet as he scrambled over to his friends.
"What's going on here?" Lucky Riot turned to Bravo and asked.
"Ugh..." Bravo Frenzy was a bit flustered and frustrated. He was already at the fifth level of the Hard Body Mystic Stage, and he could barely hold his own against these three sixth level street thugs that came here and set their eyes on his sister. He was the son of John Bravus Frenzy, just how embarrassing was this?!
It was bad enough he had been stuck at a bottleneck for the last few months, but now Lucky had randomly woken up and pounded two of his enemies with ease. Even if he caught them off guard, it was still damn impressive to Bravo who had never thought much of Lucky's strength. He glanced at Lucky Riot and spoke, "I owe you one, Luck. These punks popped up out of nowhere, and then when they recognized Maggie, they got some idea. Anyway, I wasn't going to let them touch a hair on her head. Luckily, the guy who beat up Capp ran off, or we would be done for."
"Wait..." Looking around, Lucky was shocked to realize they were no longer in that sacred wall alley! Instead, they were currently in the lane back in the inner district. The one that could lead them to the other alley through the wormhole in the dumpster. Lucky was startled by this change of events... that wormhole was only one way!
"How did we get all the way back here?" Lucky asked Bravo incredulously.
"This..." Bravo had a complicated look on his face. "Let's talk after this, all right?"
At that moment, several more delinquents ran into the alleyway.
"Where did this little punk come from!"
"Who beat up Tito and Johnny?"
"It was him! The little forgotten wastrel!"
"Eh?"
"Him?"
"How?"
"This is bad..." said Bravo Frenzy looking at the twelve boys that now surrounded them.
A muscular young man with red hair and deep dark eyes stepped forward. He had a pirate flag with seven silver spheres glowing on it tied around his arm. The young man sneered and spoke imperiously, "Listen up little punks, under the premise of us being former classmates I'll show some mercy. Hand over the girl and no one else gets hurt. Otherwise, we'll beat you and take the girl! Please, do not make us do otherwise."
This youth was handsome and proud, he wore stylish blue garments made of luxury materials. He looked at least 18-years-old. It was easy to tell he was an official's child, born into wealth, but he pretended to be a gangster anyway. Lucky noticed those same black pirate flags and silver moons hanging out of these goon's pockets. The sneer on the red-haired youth's face was pissing Lucky off, but he didn't dare to move rashly. These idiots wanted to mess with Maggie. However, at this moment, Lucky finally recognized this person.
Frankie Baldez!
They had been classmates a couple of times. This guy had been held back several grades before being kicked out of school.
A classmate dared to threaten Maggie? They would have to do it over Lucky's mangled corpse, then!
"Who the hell do you fuck niggas think you are? You can't just kidnap someone's daughter with no consequences! Do yourselves a favor and scram the fuck away from this young master. The Twelve Judgement Stars will arrest and lock you away for this. Why throw away your life like that?" said Lucky Riot bravely. In his mind, it was plain stupid to try and abduct a girl in broad daylight in the middle of the city. It wouldn't be hard for the Twelve to find you at all! However, it was actually Lucky who was being far too naive.
"This...there's something you don't know, Luck." Bravo lowered his voice so only Lucky could barely make out his words, "You and Maggie have both been experiencing the enlightenment of your sacred blessing so you wouldn't know. Six months ago, the Silver Mercury street gang attacked the Mayor's mansions and administrative buildings. They've taken over this city. Their leader is the interim Mayor! Only Top Factions are immune to their influence."
"WHAT!?" Lucky Riot was utterly dumbstruck.
"Pfft."
The 12 goons burst out laughing and pointing at Lucky's face. The Frankie lad was laughing the hardest before he spoke with difficulty, "Heh... ah man... hehe he... whew! Look, I've heard of ignorance being bliss, okay. But don't you think you've stretched it a bit? The Twelve Judgement Stars are long dead! Who is there for us, Silver Mercury, to fear in Nibiru City?"
"No one!" The eleven other goons yelled in unison.
"Exactly. Your options are few. I'll give you seven breaths to decide." Frankie said, indifferently. He didn't mind whichever choice this brat made. He considered himself rather merciful already.
"Pah!" Bravo Frenzy spat on the ground defiantly. "You chumps could never kill off the twelve. You don't understand politics!"
"Six months ago," Lucky was dumbstruck from the moment he heard those words, "… Bravo… if all this happened while we were asleep... how long has it been since we went to the Sacred Blessing Wall?"
".... It was... one year ago today." Bravo Frenzy's face was solemn.
Lucky Riot's mind went blank.

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
