《The Magic Ork》chapter 2 A Beginning (revised)

I wake up and see the most amazing sight I have ever seen. I am in a meadow filled with beautiful green grass. Far off I see an amazing humongous water fall, a bit nearer to me is a big ass forest full of trees. I stare dazedly at the seen in front of me for a while before I remember. all that happened, in the void.
I immediately looked down onto my body I saw that I now had grey skin. in the sun my skin looks a little purple. Aside from that my body does look a bit big, really big and a lot more muscular than any human I've ever seen. I am also around 6 feet tall.
My hands look really big. At least I still have five fingers. I try touching my hair, my hair feels shaggy, it feels like my hair go's all the way to my shoulders. I have a kilt covering my uh "privates"
now that I think of everything, I should be a mage meaning that I should probably have like a few starting spells. The moment I think that thought, blasts of information boom into my mind. Basically what I get from this information is that whoever made this system was very thorough. The type magic that they gave me is very personalized, it combines the way I got through the void (my mind melding with my surroundings) with my love of the written word.
So in simple words I use my magic by melding my consciousness into my surroundings collecting the elements I want then writing directional runes with that element/s. the way I do it, does depend a little bit on what I use my magic on, like if I used healing magic.
I already know a 8 runes. 6 are just for the direction the other 2 are for the shape. the 2 shape runes I know are beam and ball. the 6 directional runes are forawrd, back, left, right, up, and down

time to experiment
I've been experimenting with magic for hours. My god is magic fun. It's been the funnest (don't care if that’s not a word) time of my lives. Magic is a new frontier for me. the only reason I read so many books in my previous life was because I always yearned for something more than my previous bland life.
Reading became sort of the only reason I stayed alive. It became my life. A part of my soul.
Now off to more experiments. Right when I was about to start experimenting again my stomach started roaring. Just a huge rumbling roar. After it stopped I realize oh crap I haven't eaten anything.
I was so caught up experimenting that I completely forgot about food. Crap I also forgot about water. Well okay now I need to formulate a plan. I am pretty sure that I am a carnivore since most fantasy books say orks are evil carnivorous brutes.
Okay now that I know what I eat I need to know how to get some meat. Okay since there's a forest near me all I have to do is go to the forest, find some wild-life, then kill it. Seems easy enough.
Step 1 actually getting to the forest. Easy enough, except I want to test something out first. While I was experimenting I found that I coud manipulate the size of my spell a little. So now I wanna test out if I can make a ball of earth big enough for me to float on. It would be better if I had a disc rune of some sort but eh what can you do.
The first time I try this it only gets as big as around 50cm . I try 4 more times after that before I feel exhausted enough to puke. Each time it gets a bit bigger and bigger. 15 times after that with a few breaks in between and it's around 1 and 1/4 meter, big enough for me to "ride" on (I had to hold on tight not exactly what you would call classy).

After that it is a simple procedure of applying the forward rune onto the big ass rock.
(An hour and a few breaks later)
Huh this ork body is really strong, if I had to hold onto a boulder for an hour in my previous body I would have let go like 20 minutes ago. Also I don't believe I'm bruising.
(30 minutes and a few breaks later)
I finally made it to the forest. Seriously I was starting to run out of energy or since I am a mage probably mana. Most of the time mages use mana to do magic. Anyway since I'm finally n the forest I can start hunting me some food.
If I had some fire I could make a tiny ball of fire to burn through the skull of an animal, but since I don't I'll just use a few beams of air, which reminds me I can cast multiple things at a time. My limit right now is 4. It can be less though depending on how much "mana" it takes to keep the spell running.
I start slowly and quietly stalking through the forest. Surprisingly This big grey Ork body is really good at blending into the forest.
As I slowly tip toe forward I hear a loud roar. I stalk forward inch by slow ass inch. As I slowly walk forward I start seeing from the corner of my eyes a 2 meter tall 5 meter wide beast with yellow glazed over eyes, sharp monstrous claws and 6 muscular legs, teeth like you wouldn't believe in a mouth that looks like it could crush my ork skull in a matter of seconds. It's face looks like a mix of bird and panther, it has a long 1 meter long tail the width of a human fist, on its back there are these sheets of flesh covered in teeth
I won't lie when I saw that demon-beast hybrid of hell I think I peed a little. it took me an entire minute to calm myself down after seeing that beast. The entire time I was quivering and shivering. I look back at the scene and find something I missed before because of the shock that demon-beast clawed monster gave me, a tiny, almost invisible compared to the might of the best in front of it animal.
This tiny animal is cute and fluffy as all hell. seriously he or maybe she? is just a puff of fluff so tiny and cute and fluffy. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Okay, I need to admit something............ I like fluffy things. Its been like this ever since I was a kid. I begged my mom to buy one of those cute ass hamsters. pouty fur and everything. god so cute. But anyways, I've always loved fluffy things they got to me for some reason, and I am telling this thing is as cute as they come.
god I feel like Lennie from of mice and men (actual book, google it) since I am in this really big muscular ork body and I like fluffy things.
I tried, I really tried, but I need to save the fluffy thing from that hell beast. Obviously that hell-beast is going to eat that fluffy cute thing.
The next ninety seconds proved me wrong, so, wrong

8 159[Book One] Querencia Quintet [Polarity/Pestilence]
Migrated from: https://www.wattpad.com/story/187324475-querencia-quintet-polarity-pestilence This is my official work and my official username, both on Royal Road and Wattpad. Any reposts of Querencia Quintet are not mine and should be reported straight to myself, all copyright ... rights... are withstanding. Book one in the Querencia Quintet franchise is titled "Polarity/Pestilence" and it starts off with our sarcastic, overpowered protagonist, Charley Dunne, a 17 year old werewolf who has been cordially invited by his Werewolf clan's boss, Markus Fell. The invitation is related to Charley's supernatural academy's graduation party. He is about to move out of his parents' house and attend college. The events prior to his successful passing marks within his last exam, all 17 years of his life, have been leading up to one moment and one moment only; war. The war shall begin when he turns 18, the night of April 2nd, 2017. Whose side(s) will Charley Dunne possibly select as his loyal allies; Fleshflingers (Zombies)? Moonbearers (Werewolves)? Spellcasters (Witches and Wizards)? Bloodsuckers (Vampires)? Or Mortals (Humans)? A few, more than a few, or, miraculously, will he be able to unite all five supernatural Councils (groups) and form an eternal pact that may just last a dozen or so centuries? Find out in the very first instalment of: Querencia Quintet. Quoted from my official Wattpad story's description: "Werewolves. Demons. Angels. Spirits. Vampires. Zombies. Humans -- and the greatest supernatural species of them all; witches. The nine Lords of the Night, the thirteen Lords of the Day, the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the god of war, Horus, and the greatest progenitor of the mystical arts, Merlin. These five Councils could form a pact that lasts many lifetimes ... but will their differences and flaws work against them? Do the five magical chambers butt heads, or do they accept their uniqueness and strengths and work together?"
8 193The Samsara Dirge: Adventures in Post-Apocalyptic Broadcasting
It was not the apocalypse anyone expected. They called it the Changes. (Which might sound boring, though it was no such thing!) During this time, reality itself was suspended. Anything could happen, and often did. Who could have anticipated flying turtles, lighter than air futons, the appearance of the color slurkle, or the eradication of differential calculus? After a year and a half of such wonders, it all stopped. The world was not the same, nor the people in it. Why had it happened and how did it end? Would it return? No one knew. Silverio Moreno, irrepressibly optimistic host of one of the most popular post-apocalyptic gameshows, wants answers. And the truth might just bring in his highest ratings yet!
