Gladius leans into his radio as Bolt rubs his chin. "You sure?" *Yeah we head out in an hour.* "An hour?! Why not now?" *All our personnel are still coming back for fuel and ammo.*
I step forward, "We gotta come with." "You three sure you can handle it?" Tango and Zero nod as I rub my chin, "Alright, you three, Foxtrot and I'll head out." It can't be this easy, could it? Gladius waves, "Fox! Come on!" "What's-" "You up for a raid?" Her eyes light up, "Can I get a grenade launcher?" He grins, "Yeah." We all jog towards the armory.
Zero and Gladius lag a little behind as the rest of us speed ahead. Gladius yells, "Tango, when we're out there, don't rush in!" "Got it." Gladius then yells to me, "That goes for you too, kid." I give him the finger from behind, "Yeah, yeah." "I'll cut that finger off!" I laugh, "You wish, stumpy!" Tango yells out as we get closer to the armory,
"Why a hacker?!" Gladius yells back as we finally got onto a road. "We've been trying to get him for months now! I bet he's packing up right now!" We slow down to watch the UM-70s land. Men and women scurry to refuel the helicopters.
Another team loads rockets into the pods. I raise my brow, "All this, for a hacker?" Fox nudges me, "Yeah, they must really want him in cuffs or in a coffin, right?" I sigh deep, "I guess so."
We head into the armory and Gladius marches forth. "Gladius, sir?" "We have to find that hacker." The man sighs, "Grab a bomb suit." I tilt my head, "What, he lays explosives?" "No, we think he has help." And a bionic suit. "A company hired this guy to steal intelligence data, sealed files."

Zero frowns as he gets his guns back, "Should have kept it all on paper." I cross my arms, "I don't blame him, everything has skeletons." Fox grits her teeth as Zero turns his head in a heartbeat. "This guy could expose all of us, even you Garvey." Tango tilts her head, "Garvey?" Good, get mad, asshole.
I take a step back, "Yeah, he's Shotgun Garvey. He killed his-" Gladius' voice booms across the armory, "Enough! Zero, you sit this out!" "But-" "Go on, return your weapons and help in the garage or something." He slams his weapons down and then tears off his vest before storming off.
"Yes, Major." After he leaves, I turn to him, "I could have handled him." "Yeah, but his temper'll get him killed." *UM-70's ready. All unit, board now.* He grabs hold with a smile, "Coming now."

Arcane Societies
Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society. Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts. Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more. This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
