My leg raises up as he gets any closer. He flies into the street and a car hits him. The leg slowly drops back down without my permission as the car runs off. Tango squints, "Didn't you get that checked?" I sigh, "Yeah, but I'm not complaining."
Zero hops into the car, "Let's go get those assholes!" As Tango hops in the passenger, I hop into the gun from outside the car, making us dip for a moment, Zero looks back, "What the hell?" I bang on the roof, "Just go!" An
actual m70 machine gun, I almost drool loading one into the chamber.
As we get closer, they start firing from the back windows. Zero yells up, "Let em have it!" With a grin, I lift the
gun up, "Firing!" I pull the trigger and rounds fly through the back window. Moments later, the driver beeps
the horn as the car slows. The car turns left as I stop firing.
It finally stops in an intersection as we slow. Zero yells using the car's speakers, *Give it up! You're outgunned!*
They get out the car from the far side as I get in and close the hatch.
Tango's voice trembles, "What's with the grin, Zero?" I grin too, "Tango, seat belt." She quickly fastens the belt, as do I. Zero floors it towards the car as they try breaking the bulletproof glass. As we ram the car, they all got knocked on
their asses, save one, who dove out the way.
We all get out, guns drawn. I hop on the wrecked car as the duo goes around. The guy who dove runs with a suitcase.
Zero frowns, "Requesting pickup at Jennings and Hall." I grin and follow him, slow enough to keep up. *Bolt,

where are you?* I turn off my radio as the guy turns into an alley. I peek around and he turns again. Looking up,
there is a fire escape. I bend down and spring up to the ladder. I almost let go, did I get fatter?
After getting up, I run up the steps. Luckily I didn't lose him, he walks into a building across the street. I turn my
radio on again, "Bolt looking into an office building owned by Engen, on Henry and Andy."
Z3R0; You let him walk for two blocks?
B0L7; Yeah, almost lost the fucker.
T4NG0; Team just got here, coming now. Be careful.
1st shift workers come out in grey, all with suitcases. Damn. Where- He sticks out, waiting around to see which cars
are free to jack. His escape plan falls through as Tango and Zero pull up. He starts running through the crowd and they give chase. Before joining them, I look through Engen's windows. A businessman, maybe in his sixties, watched me the whole time.
I wave and he does too. *Hello, Garvey.* My soul almost jumps out of me.
???; Let's chat, kid.
B0L7; What was in the case?
?
??; You really wanna know?
B0L7; Tell me.
???; Dirt on Peacekeeper
I snarl,
BOL7; You killed a man!
???; The man that you kicked into the street? The same man that believes that setting people on fire will get them
into heaven?
My fists shake.
???; I have a job for you
B0L7; What do I get from it?
???; This dirt on Peacekeeper and a million in stacks
B0L7; And if I don't accept?
???; A hacker with data on a militia that is corrupt and does anything it wants when no one is looking, dies.
I rub my chin and stare off into space. A minute later, I find a way I could keep my job and get away with this.
???; Well?
B0L7; Who is he?
???; A man with the Ratchets, Milo Matthews. A genius with a metal body. I want you to get transferred into the division that does raids and make sure he lives.
I squint at him,
B0L7; I'll think about it.
???; Think quick, kid.
I frown as he disappears. Here I go, fucking shit up again.
