Chapter Six: Norwind Enfolic
Claire once told me that dreams happen because our ‘soul’ merges with the ‘you’ in a parallel world. If not a parallel world, another world. Now I’m not quite sure if this is what she meant.
“Hey, Norwind! Hurry up with that cask of merlot! My throat is dried as an old cunt!” Cedrick Burner shouted.
Cedrick is on his late thirties. A fat brown-haired man. He may not look like it, but he is the brains behind everything that the Dragon Slayers did. Norwind remembered the time when Cedrick took him to one of his ‘exploits’. It was six months after the siege when he became his personal squire. Cedrick taught him almost everything that he knows. One time, he had an argument with him about abusing a slave girl. He recalled it well. Every time he looked in the mirror, the scar on his chest would always remind him of his big fat face.
“Yes sir!” Norwind shouted as he tried to lift the cask with all his strength.
It’s been ten years since I’ve been in this dream. Or the other world was the dream and this is the ‘real world’? Also, at night, I dreamt that I am some dark skinned girl who hunts monsters and stares at the ‘Promised World’ next to the moon, which is, this world. But most of the details, I couldn’t remember. And it’s been a year since the Dragon Slayers took Osniton. I’m really confused now. Norwind thought.
As Norwind entered the used to be ‘glorious’ throne room of the Osniton Castle, he remembered the girl that she loved. Alexandria… does she remember me? After all these years. Every time Norwind enters the castle, memories of how it used to be comes back to his mind. He would often remember what he did at that certain spot. Like when he turned ten, the King told him to be his squire. He was then trained and raised by the King himself more than his father in this world. The King spent more time with him than with his sons since he would always take Norwind with him whenever he was hunting. But those are just memories now. But somehow, he is slowly forgetting the things that he did back at his own world. I don’t want to forget...
“Don’t get cocky, Burner!” Haldren Yerning, who is sitting on the throne of the previous King Ezmond Enfolic said as he raised his empty glass, gesturing the slave next to him to refill.
Haldren Yerning is the leader of the Dragon Slayers. He is only on his early twenties. He had his long black hair tied in braid and most people always mistook him for a woman due to his good looks. Norwind suddenly remembered the funny meaning behind the name of their guild. Haldren would always ask me “Have you seen any dragons lately?” And I would always answer, “No, sir. Why?” He would laugh and say “It is because I killed them all!!!” It is funny because his name is Haldren. The same name as the Haldren as the one in the book in Histories and Myths of Thear.

Norwind hurried and opened the cask. He filled a pitcher with wine. As he looked around it almost made him cry. The castle where he spent most of his life with is now being defiled by bandits. But not all of them are bad. He stared at the whole room. It was filled with bandits. It looked like a tavern for everyone was shouting and drinking with women on their side. Norwind filled Haldren’s cup.
“Norwind always beat the crap out of you in Knight’s and Archers.” He sipped from his cup and then laughed hard. “You make him feel like he is inferior, but in truth, you have always been insecure of him.”
“Oh really?” Cedrick stood up and held his axe.
The King’s axe…. He remembered.
“Does stating the truth make you want to kill me?” Haldren stood up and walked slowly towards Cedrick.
“Not you.” Cedrick pointed at the pale blue haired lad with Usurper's Fury.
“I see.” Haldren then slowly took his dagger behind his back and slit Cedrick’s throat.
Cedrick held his throat as blood gushed from it. Everyone inside the room was shocked due to it. They never pictured Haldren would do such a thing to his comrade.
“What?” Haldren smiled as he leaned his head to Cedrick. “You saying something? Come here Norwind and try to pick up what he’s trying to say. I just couldn’t make word of it.”
Norwind did what Haldren told him to. However, Cedrick died before he could even speak.
“Norwind, it is your fault that Cedrick Burner died.” He said as he smiled.
“I’m sorry, sir.” Norwind lowered his head and stared at the face of Cedrick.
“Good. Now pick up Cedrick’s- no… Your uncle’s axe. You are about to take responsibility of what you made me do to him.” He tapped Norwind’s back.
Norwind picked up the heavy axe. Too heavy… “Sir, what do you mean by ‘take responsibility’?”
“You’re going to be my new right hand.” Haldren said as he smiled.
Those words echoed on his mind as he was staring at the moon, stars and the Forgotten World. Right hand, huh? Somehow, it made him happy. Although, Haldren wanted him to train more on his combat skills. Norwind didn’t liked the idea of slashing and hacking people apart using weapons. He just woke up being this three year-old boy named Norwind. At first, it was hard for him to understand their language, but he learned everything he could as he wondered why he was there. He would often ask himself if this world was just a dream. Or was it the other. Or the other. He couldn’t figure it out. All he knew is that he wanted to be with Alexandria again. Hold her and kiss her. All the other people on the other world doesn’t matter. He just wanted to see her again. Even her beloved little sister.

A knock came from his door. He stood and entered his room through the window and opened the door.
“Good evening sir.” It was a blonde girl with fiery red eyes, lips as red, and wears a beautiful red dress. Norwind looked at her eyes and as always, he saw his reflection upside down from her pupils. It always amazed him how exceptional her eyes was.
“Cyrdiel…” He smiled. “Didn’t I told you before..?”
“Ohh… right.” She smiled. “I just haven’t gotten used to it, sir.” She smirked as she entered the room as Norwind closed it. “I heard that you are the new right hand of Sir Haldren?” She sat on his bed.
“Yeah. Why?”
“I just wanted to congratulate you.” Cyrdiel smiled. "Is that bad, sir?"
“Thanks. But...” Norwind looked at Cyrdiel’s neck. On it was a chain made of silver with the words Ofter engraved on it. If it’s not for her chain, no one would know that she is a slave. “Does your master know that…?”
“Does it even matter?” Cyrdiel kissed Norwind. He backed from her. “And besides, I am my master’s master.” She smiled.
Norwind smiled back as he kissed Cyrdiel back. “That’s not my point.” He said as he gently laid Cyrdiel unto his bed. He kissed her again. Cyrdiel gently bit Norwind’s lower lip until it bled. Norwind chuckled softly. The bleeding on his lips didn’t stopped him from undressing her from her gorgeous red dress until her beautiful body was completely naked. The two kissed passionately with their tongues wrapping one another, exchanging saliva and biting the other’s lips while tasting the blood of the other. Cyrdiel then backed from their kiss and placed her finger on Norwind’s bleeding lip. She switched positions with him and knelt as she unbuckled Norwind’s belt and threw it on the floor. She then removed his leather armor filled with scratches from his training. Cyrdiel then saw a long scar from Norwind’s left shoulder to the lower right part of his stomach.
I always forget about Alexandria everytime I’m with Cyrdiel... He thought.
“This scar made you look even hotter, you know.” Cyrdiel said as she licked it all the way down while looking lustfully at Norwind’s deep green eyes. This made him utter a strange sound. She smirked at him as she knelt and unzipped his pants and took it off leaving his undergarments on.
“You got hard from that?” Cyrdiel smirked.
“It is my first time, you know.” This made Cyrdiel giggle.
She rubbed Norwind’s cock with her right hand over his underwear.
“You should let me sharpen your sword. You hardly even use it, have you?”
“I’m more of a bow and arrows kind of guy.” He smiled. “It’s easy to be brave from a long distance.”
Cyrdiel then took off the only cloth that Norwind wore. “I see.” She then pushed Norwind on the bed smiled. “As far as I could remember, Eliza is good with swords too. And she’s a girl.”
“That’s a real sword though.”
“Argument invalid.” She smirked again.
“Are you sure that we’re doing this?” Norwind asked.
“Are you sure that we’re NOT doing this?” Her fiery red eyes shone as it was being enlighted by the flame on Norwind’s furnace.
And the whole night, the made love to each other as if they were about to be sentenced to death tomorrow.
Ever since they were kids, Cyrdiel always loved Norwind. They would occasionally meet at night on the Faerie forest without anyone knowing. Norwind liked her since she remind him of Alexandria, although it was just her golden hair that reminded him of her. They would climb on this huge tree in the middle of the forest and stare at the moon, stars and the Forgotten World and talk about what they did on that day. Cyrdiel loved him. However, Norwind just pretended to love her too since it is only Alexandria and her alone that makes his heart beat faster than normal. That’s what he think. But, he doesn’t know that he is already falling for her.
After a few hours, he was awaken in the middle of the night with the screaming of men. He looked outside his window and saw the flames engulfing every home. Norwind dressed for battle. He took his bow and arrows on his back, his dagger on his belt and Usurpers Fury on his hand.
“Sir Norwind!!” A foot soldier of the guild called him. Norwind hurried towards him. “We are being attacked!”
“How many are they?” He asked.
“One.”
“Who on Thear would do such a thing?”
“A small girl with white hair!! She is throwing fire at us!” The soldier answered.
"A witch." Norwind smiled on the inside. "Gretzel...."
