There were many counters and few people interacting with the employees.

It was important to have a marketplace for any sort of activity, it allowed buyers and sellers to interact and get what they want. The government had recognised this instantly and created a place where Hunters could sell items they have earned, this would encourage more people to become Hunters as it was another source of income for them.

The lady took notice and inspected the items. Since she was also an awakened person, she could clearly see the item's information and judge its price. The government had created a reference to put prices on the items Hunters would bring. Of course, this reference still lacked many aspects and it was unclear what items could be used in what ways, hence, the market was still far from being efficient.

Gray went back to Linda.

Linda appeared a bit surprised, she hadn't expected that Gray had already raided a dungeon and procured some rewards.

Linda walked Gray out of the building.

Linda had a bright smile on her face, Gray walked off and waved goodbye.

Gray was now officially a hunter. In order to keep his license it was required for him to raid one dungeon every two months. He would be paid a salary of $80,000 per month, of course, this had not included what he would earn after selling items.

He had just earned $7000 for two rating D items, he could make a lot of money if he raided dungeons regularly.

Khan opened the door with a large smile on his face, he had very little hair left and was very old. However, he still looked very healthy.

“Oh finally”

Khan invited Sung Ho inside, his apartment was messy.

Sung Ho could not wait, all his anger had dissipated as he thought about what Khan had to show him.

Khan walked Sung Ho in a large room that was unlike the rest of the apartment, it was very clean and organised. It had many different items inside that were made by Khan himself, there were things like swords, shields, armor, and some things that were very unique.

Khan walked towards a bunch of shields on the ground and grabbed one in the front.

He then picked up a shiny blue crystal and glanced over Sung Ho.

“A shield and a mana crystal…. okay?”

Sung Ho was a bit confused.

Khan sat on the floor and put the shield in front of him while holding the mana crystal. He then closed his eyes and sat still.

“Eh?”

The shield started to emit a light blue light.

Khan opened his eyes and looked up towards Sung Ho.

Sung Ho was shocked

“How..how did you do that?

“I used the magic from the mana crystal and moved it towards the shield”

Khan had discovered such a thing by accident, he was experimenting with mana crystals and found that he could move some amount of the magic in the mana crystal to objects.

“This method works for any object, however, the object needs to be bigger for it to be easier for me to transfer the magic”

Sung Ho was lost for words.

“This will allow Hunters to use weapons that have some magic, meaning, they will be able to use it against monsters”

This was a huge development. It would improve the strength of Hunters.

“However, I must tell you, this process takes a long time, this shield for instance took me 5 whole days”

Khan grabbed a red shield from the ground and gave it to Sung Ho. Khan then had a realisation.

“Oh I forgot you weren't awakened, wait, here are the stats for this item”
