《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 22 - Making a small fortune in only one months time

When he got home Tuzai was shocked once again. "How do you keep finding spirit stones?"
"I don't know. Luck I guess, when I found the small ponds they weren't very noticeable. I nearly missed them the first time I walked passed."
On the ground was a small pile and he started counting them up.
1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, 16, 22, 33, 34.
"34 white spirit stones, that's 34 silver!"
It was a third of what he brought back two days ago because white spirit stones were only worth a tenth of a yellow spirit stone. If he made money at this rate, wouldn't they be rich in a years' time? It was a nice thought and it made Tuzai excited but she knew it wouldn't last. You can't be so lucky every day, there would be many off days just like yesterday when he found nothing.
"We should invest in something that can make us more money in the future, otherwise we will be stuck in a cycle of working and saving, never getting anywhere."
Tuzai nodded her head but she didn't have any ideas where they could invest money that could help them get a good return.
"How much is it to purchase a farm? Farming is always a good business." Fuyo wanted to start another large scale farm in this world. In his past life he loved farming and he was building up a massive farm to feed the gigantic army he was planning on raising. He didn't know how important farms were in this world, after all bee's can just suck nectar from flowers so they don't eat vegetables. But maybe they could grow flowers for nectar.
Tuzai shook her head "Farmers don't make a lot of money and it's really hard work."

"We are bees aren't we? We can pollinate the fields and help them grow faster."
Tuzai nodded her head but then said "That's true but there's also the risk of ruined crops, bad weather and rampaging beast. We might even get thieves that sneak in and eat our crops before they are ready. Like the Caterbee clan, uhh... Obviously not you though."
"It'll be fine, you said you wanted to become an alchemist right? And herbs are quite expensive so we should grow our own, then you won't have to worry about it."
"Herbs aren't that easy to grow but it's definitely worth a try." A light began to twinkle in her eyes.
"A good sized farm could cost ten thousand gold pieces, that's 1,000,000 spirit stones."
"W...what? So expensive. How much land does that buy?"
"It depends, but around 250 acres."
"Only 250 acres?"
"The price is so expensive because we are inside the Bee Country protection barrier. If we were outside of the barrier then we could start a farm anywhere. But outside of the barrier is a death sentence because there are many ferocious beasts that could kill us just by looking."
Ferocious beast that can kill by looking? What kind of power is that!
"That's definitely not an option, we don't have the means to survive by ourselves but the price is really outrageous. Can we lease the land?"
"Yes, 250 acres is 25 gold a month."
"It's not a lot of space but it's a good start and it's a lot more affordable than a million spirit stones. Then this will be our goal from now on."
"How do you plan on finding that much money? If you find 25 white spirit stones a day on average you would still need 100 days to pay a month's rent and that's a soft estimate."

"Yeah I realized that fact, the only thing I can do right now is to get stronger and find more resources. I've already reached the second level of qi, I'm sure things will get easier once I break through to the spirit realm. My body will have more energy and I will be able to move around faster."
Suddenly he felt her spiritual sense scanning his body.
"Your cultivation has gone back to nothing again, this is really strange."
"It's what? Nooooo!" Fuyo would be tearing his hair out if he had hair.
"This is so frustrating, why is this happening? Is it due to my blocked meridians?"
"No, I don't think that's what it is. Some people have eaten heavenly treasures without having opened meridians and maintained their increased level their entire life. Maybe your energy vision uses up cultivation levels when you use it. After all, it's a unique ability that only you have so it might have some repercussions. After all, great power doesn't come without a price."
Everything made sense now, his energy vision would give him the power to see energy but also use tremendous amounts of energy to see them. Such a large amount of energy that it made him dropped cultivation levels. But he couldn't give it up now, money was important and it helped him find spirit stones. He decided to collect money for a month before he continued to level up.
In a flash a month had passed by and he had shockingly gained a large amount of spirit stones. During this time he found 3 yellow orb gathering places he liked to call spirit abodes. From these spirit abodes he found a total of 65 yellow spirit stones. On top of that he also found 600 white spirit stones. It was possible to exchange them for 12 gold and 50 silver.
But it wasn't enough, if he continued at this rate he wouldn't be able to get stronger or make enough money to hire land and grow herbs. He was in a dilemma.
He searched his dantian again and confirmed that his dantian was completely empty. He had already done this three times before, but he was hoping that it was just his imagination. He wondered around his body some more and stopped suddenly...
Tuzai was watching Fuyo as he scanned his body, she also froze when Fuyo's expression changed. Did he find something?
He had the look of discovery and wonderment written on his face. "Did you find a meridian?" She couldn't help but asking. Her hands were shaking, it seemed to be true. If he successfully opens his meridians then he can start walking the path of a true cultivator. It would be nothing but beneficial for him.
But he shook his head. "It's not that. Why don't you have a look yourself."
Her spiritual sense scanned his body for a while, looking around his dantian but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
"I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at, is there something different?"
"Look at my profound veins."
Her spirit sense entered his body again, but this time she nearly bit her lip.
"Low grade profound veins! But how?"
