《I died so the main protagonist can have character development, but I got reincarnated to another world - Light Novel》Chapter 6 I just step on the new world and then there's problem. I sighed.

A new adventure awaited us in the new world as we traveled through space at the speed of light. We entered the New World atmosphere and slowed our descend. We were above a city.
The city itself had tall buildings. Most of them were new, and some were old. But the one that caught my eyes was the large statue of a man holding a sword that pointed towards the southeast. How I knew the large statue pointed southeast. I looked up at the sun. From there, I knew which was west and east.
Alright, time to looked for candidates. I wandered and looked for any people who were close to dying. There were, but most of them were old. Which meant they would die anytime. Should I take their body?
I figured that using the body modifier would transform those bodies into their younger self. But the constant pain I would be receiving to keep the body younger might be overwhelmingly painful.
I could use the healing ability with LMQ to consistently heal the pain. But it would accelerate the regeneration of the body, which was good and bad at the same time because I had to halve the amount of mana being transfer to the body.
If I did that, the amount of mana used to cast a spell would halve the firepower, which was a bad thing, if I fight against a powerful enemy. I needed to find somewhat young and have a good amount of mana. Hopefully, someone out there has it. If not, then I had to pick the old ones.
I ventured throughout the city in my spirit form and entered an alleyway. Out of nowhere, I felt a sharp blade coursing through my spirit form.
“What the fuck!” I gasped.
I looked at myself and found that there was no blade sticking out of me. Purpexeled, I looked at Lily, who was beside me in her disguise form.
“Hey, Lily, I felt a sharp pain a while ago. Do you know anything about that?” I told her my concern.
She looked at me before continuing, “Oh! My dad must have forgotten that you need to find a body ASAP, if not. You would ceased to exist.”
My expression change to utter shock. Then, raged, “Why didn’t you tell me that?”
She ignored my question as she whistled and walked away from me. This useless woman! I flew to every corner of the city to find someone that I could possess. But to no avail, there was no one that I could possess, which left me the choice of possessing an aged man.
I clicked my teeth as a sign of frustration, and on the spur of the moment. I heard an explosion near us. Lily and I looked at each other, and we raced towards the scene.

We heard another explosion. This time it was much louder than before as we were getting close to the scene. We stopped our steps outside the alleyway and looked towards a building covered in flames.
“Watch out!” a man yelled.
A huge fireball hit another building. The building exploded, and debris spread all over the area and hits several civilians.
Some of those civilians die instantly. The others were heavily injured. I scanned my surroundings to look at where the fireball came from. My eyes caught on a group of armored men in the middle of the street.
“Heed for his glorious, heed for his power, heed for his enlightenment, make way, make way…. For the glorious, the most gruesome wizard of all time, Lord Makarov,” an armored man sang.
A man in his mid-50s stepped into the view while holding a fireball in his hand. He looked at a building and threw a fireball directly at it. The building exploded, and debris fell and spread.
“We need to stop him!” Lily raged.
“I do want to help, but I can’t use any weapons or spell in this form. Plus, I need to find a person first before I can help,” I told her.
“Then, go find someone!” she pressured me.
“Alright!” I went on searching for a body to possess. Then, I heard a woman’s voice.
“Help me! My son is still in there! Someone! Anyone! Help!” she screamed.
I accessed her memory and saw the boy's appearance. After that, I fly straight to the burning building.
Okay, why did I flew into a burning building without a body? Am I that stupid? How do I get that boy back to safety if I couldn't even touch him? I exasperate.
As I was searching the building, I noticed that there were still peoples inside. That could be my opportunity to find someone and possessed him and rescued the rest of them.
I discovered the boy and looked around to see if there could be anyone that I could possess. Then, the ceiling above plummeted towards the boy.
“Noooooooooo!” I screamed as the ceiling collapsed on top of him.
The boy’s body had been crush by the bolder. I hovered there for a moment. Why didn't I possed him? Was it because I was too picky?
“I-,” before I could utter any word. I heard another boy scream and flew towards the sound of his screams. I went inside the room and found him. There was another explosion, and a large boulder falls towards him.
I flew straight to the boy's body and possed him. I won't make the same mistake.
The big bolder stopped in front of us. The boy opened his eyes and raised his eyebrows as his jaw opened.

“Huh? W-What’s going on?” he shuddered.
“Don’t worry, I froze time,” I reassured him.
“Ahhhhhhhh, who are you?” The boy turned and looked beside him.
He fell to the ground and backs away from me while pointing his finger.
“Relax, I’m here to save you,” I assured him. Then I said, “Can you place your hand in front of you please,”
“Huh? Not until you introduce yourself,” his eyes started to tear.
“I’m Alex, and if you don’t place your hand in front of you, both of us will die,” I told him.
“Huh?”
Time slowly resumed itself as I glanced at the boulder. It would be too late if he placed his hand when time resumed.
I looked at him and said, “Kid, I don’t want to do this, but you leave me with no choice.”
I took over his body and put his hands in front. The boy looked surprised when his hand moves.
“Huh? How did-.”
“Shh! Keep quiet. I’m focusing my mana here,” I began focusing my mana. Then, I added wind magic to his hands.
Time instantly resumed, and I chanted, “Wind Gust!”
I released a gust of wind and pushed the huge bolder away from us. The boy continued to look surprised at what just happened. I tried to stand up, but it forced me to get out from his body. We looked at each other at the same time.
The boy said, “What-,”
“The F-,” I stopped my sentence halfway because he was a kid. I didn't want him to hear me saying it. Nonetheless, he went on and said the word.
“Fuck!,” he swore.
I shook my head. Kids this day need to mind what they said.
I looked at the kid and cautioned him, “Let’s get everyone to safety. Follow my every instruction if you want to live and don’t question it,”
“But, I-I’m scared,” He said in a low voice.
“Look, I know you’re scared. These people are also scared, but right now, you have the power to save them,” I persuaded him.
“B-But,” he hesitated.
I didn’t want to do this, but I had no choice. I tricked Kain's mind by showing him what would happen if he didn't move.
In the vision that I showed him, a huge flame would engulf him from behind and burned him into crisps along with the people inside.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!,” he cried.
“That would probably happen to you and the people inside if you don’t move,” I explained, “Now, let’s go before we died or someone died.”
“O-Okay,” he conceded.
“You need to cover your mouth. Use that to cover your mouth. I don’t want you to start coughing,” I pointed a piece of clothing near his foot.
The boy took the piece of cloth and covered his mouth with it. After that, I used my all-seeing eye to pinpoint where are the trapped people are. I discovered two individuals in a cafeteria, a young boy on the 3rd floor, and three women trapped inside their room on the 7th floor.
“What is this that I’m seeing,” the kid said.
It seems like he could also use my ability.
“People who’re trapped,” I told him.
“What do we’ve to do to save them?”
“Just follow my instruction, and we’ll save them.”
How do I save them?
The boy said, “Can you rewind time before the attack even started?”
“Oh? That’s a great idea, kid, nice job,” I compliment him.
“But I can only rewind 2 hours before the incident because I just stop time when I saved you. But, if I rewind time. There could be a possibility of the future becoming worst. So, I need to take it into consideration.”
Thanks to the kid’s idea. I did some thinking. Finally, I decided to rewind time a few minutes before the attack started. We looked around and noticed the building still intact.
I used my all-seeing eye and tried to locate Lily. After a while, I found her near the front of the building. I could try and read her mind from here and tried to communicate to her.
“Alex, can you read me?” She communicated with me.
Never mind, she did it first.
“Yeah, I read you,” I responded to her, “Good thing we can read each other minds, don’t you think?”
“No… not at all… it gives me the creep. By the way, who’s the child?”
“Er……,” I hesitated.
I forget to ask the kid's name.
“It’s Kain,” he responded.
“Huh? How did this kid can use your ability?” Lily asked.
“That’s why I’m going to ask you after this, but right now, we need to prevent the attack and I have an idea, but the kid might now like it,” I told them.
They both look confused and uncertain about the plan that I had in mind. I hoped Kain would cooperate.

In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension. Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them. **** Warning **** This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)). I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book. Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
