Seven beams of lights sour through space with beauty and headed to the new world. I turned around to let Holway knows, but a portal opens behind him. We looked at the portal with wonders, and a ball of light came rushing from it.

“Dad, we have problems!” A woman's voice spoke.

Huh? A woman, and she’s the daughter of Holway? Okay, what the heck is going on?

“Shut up, human!”

“Oh, she’s feisty….” I exasperate.

Great, she could read my mind, like father, like daughter.

“Hmm! Lily, what’s going on?” he asked her.

So, her name is Lily, as in the name of a flower. I remembered picking those flowers and handed over to my childhood love. If I recalled, her name was Kalina, and she had these beautiful eyes like a diamond. Kalina loves those flowers. Are they related, somehow?

Who am I kidding? There was no way. They could be related!

“Did you saw several lights soaring through space just now?” she asked.

“Yes, I did. I was about to mention it to Alex,” Holway pointed at me.

“Hi, I’m Alex, a soon-to-be reincarnate hero… I suppose,” I waved my hand at her. She looked at me for a moment before continuing her discussion with her father.

Did she pretend not to notice me?

Another group of light soars through the sky. But this time, it was 11 beams. I didn't know what was going on, but reading the surrounding atmosphere, gave me some understanding of the situation.

Lily explained, “Those seven lights that you see earlier were the demon lords. They escaped from the Neither and are heading straight to the new world that you created, Dad.”

Wait, so, seven demons lord are heading to the new world, as in right now? That had to be the worst-case scenario. Especially if I was going to fight them alone. Honestly, what kind of luck did I have within me.

“By the way, what’s the ‘Neither’?” I asked.

Holway looks at me, and before he could explain. Lily’s lights brighten.

“None of your business, human!” she interrupted.

Why does she hate me that much?

Lily continued, “The 11 lights are the heroes tasked to apprehend them, but they messed up the selection and sent 11 inexperienced teenagers from the other world to the new world.”

Oh! At least I got back up. But I didn't like the sound of where these are going.

I interrupted her explanation, “What you meant by another world? Are they from the world of the ‘cultural,’?”

Her lights brighten. Then, she said, “How did you know about the ‘cultural world’?”

“Your father told me about it,” I pointed at Holway. He dimmed his lights and whistle. It seems like he gets caught red-handed.

“Dad! Why did you tell him? People like him shouldn't know the existence of another world,” she complained.

Lily face me and said, “Sorry, Alex, I’ve to wipe out your memory about the other world.”

Wait! Not again! I placed my hand in front to signal her to stop.

“Hold up!” Holway stopped her.

I sighed in relief as I put my hand down.

“You can’t use it on him cause I already clear his memory about the history of the new world.”

“Yes. Yes. That’s true. True,” I nodded.

Thank you, Holway. You’re a second chance giver. I owe you one.

Holway said, “if you do it again, then his mind will be fucked. Do you remember your screwed up when you use it on a reincarnatee twice!?”

“Yes…. I-I know,” Lily stuttered as her lights dimmed.

Whatever Lily did to that person must have hurt her father. Well, I better steps up and continued the topic about the light beams.

“So that makes it 12, including me,” I told her. Then I asked, “By the way, you were saying about inexperienced fighters. How inexperienced are they?”

“Why should I answer to you!?” She stared at me with sparks flying.

“Cause, I’m too, going to reincarnate there. I might be able to save them and defeats those demon lords,” I told her while avoiding the sparks.

“No!” She refuted.

“I bet you’re just like those other reincarnatees that seek glory and fortune, and don’t even care about the world,” she criticized.

I’m pissed. She thinks that I’m like those people. I gave her something that should reflect her screw-up.

I said, “Hey, Princess… What kind of a second chance giver, that sent 11 teenagers to their death? Like I know you guys are omnipotent, but sending inexperienced fighters to fight against a group of demon lord, is the lowest form of screwed up that I’d ever seen. You should be ashamed of yourself. All these problems start with you, and your people and here I’m lending a hand to save them and the world. Instead, you shove me out. Okay, go ahead then. Save them. I won’t mind. I’ll be chilling here, when you go and try. But, if you failed, don’t come to me, with your legs begging.”

That should knock some sense into her. Lily's lights dimmed. Her father sprinkled her with lights, and she returned to normal.

“Thanks, Dad.”

Holway nodded, and they both looked at me. Hopefully, Holway won’t be mad when I ridiculed her daughter.

“Sorry,” She apologized before continuing, “D-Do you really want to help?”

“Am I going to repeat myself? Of course, I’ll help,” I said.

“Those eleven souls are very inexperience in everything,” Lily answers. She took a few deep breaths before continuing.

“Everything?” I requested confirmation.

“Yes. Everything.”

Oh boy, this is going to be tough.

“How about the demons lord?” I asked her. My right hand touched my chin.

“Too strong… very strong,” She whimpered.

Well, another problem gets added to my list of worries without setting a foot onto the world yet.

“Can’t you just pull both the fighters and demon lords out of the space?” I asked as I was holding my breath.

Tell me you could pull them out.

“Nope, we can’t. We don’t have jurisdiction,” Holway interrupted.

“Then, who has the jurisdiction?” I asked as I let out a sigh.

“Sorry, can’t tell you…,” he paused before continuing, “Yet.”

“Huh?”

“Look, I’m very tempted to tell you but giving you too much information will make my life harder as a second chance giver. Maybe in the future, I will tell you.”

Oh, well. At least I could try asking this question.

“Okay, then, do you two won’t mind if I ask what’s your jurisdiction are?” I asked. They look at each other and hesitate at first. But proceed to tell me.

“Our jurisdiction is to create new worlds and destroy old ones,” Lily answered.

“Also, we reincarnate those who are deemed worthy of a second chance, like yourself, Alex,” Holway added.

“Although we don’t have jurisdiction on how the world works. We have reincarnated people like you that do our jobs,” Lily added.

From what I heard and understood. It looks like I was more like a tool for them to used. I didn't know how to feel about it.

Maybe the word toolset was the word I'm looking for? Who knows.

“You’re not a tool, Alex, and neither were those reincarnatees,” Lily assured me.

Lily sparks her lights, and it almost hits me. I avoided the spark. Was she angry at me?

“I’ll put that aside for now. We’ve got bigger problems to solve here,” I told her. Then, I walked towards the portal while whistling.

“Would you mind if I come along with you?”

“Huh?” Holway and I both gasp at the same time.

When I turned around, Holway went on to tell her, “You can’t follow him! You know that right? You can’t get involved with the reincarnatees doing their works.”

“I know you would say that,” Lily cast a paper and hovered it in front of Him.

He looked at it, and his expression changed to shock.

“What is it?” I asked them.

“It’s an approval letter for a deity like us to follow the reincarnates,” Holway responded.

“It’s on a trial program and I signed up for it and judging by our current situation, I think this program can benefit from it and Alex can help me solve the situation,” She explained.

I think it was the other way around. She should be helping me. Not me helping her. Well, having her at my side will guaranty the success of the mission.

On second thought, I would guarantee the success of the mission.

“You know, I can literally! Read your mind,” She lighted up.

I figured she was angry at me. Oh well, the cats are out of the bags now. I sighed.

“See. I’m the more competent one here, as I can read his mind,” Lily placed her hands on her hips.

Holway looked at the piece of paper. I didn't know what he was thinking. Pretty sure he’s worried about her daughter and didn't want anything to happen to her.

Do I want her by my side? Well, it’s all comes down to the question that I would give her.

I took a heavy breath before exhaling it. I stared at Lily and said, “Are you sure, you want to do this?”

“Yes!” she demanded.

I could see determination and stupidity in her eyes.

"Okay," I took some time to think as I closed my eye. Then, I opened it and faced Holway.

“Hey Holway, you don’t have to worry. I can protect her in that world. You’ve seen how I grab the bell out of your hand before the fight started, right?” I told him.

Holway looked at me and pondered. Seconds later, he said, “Yup, you did, and it was an unpleasant feeling to get tricked by someone like you, but I guess you can protect her.”

“I take that as a compliment, and do you agreed, that she will follow me?”

“Yes, she will come with you.”

Lily might already know this. I knew she scans my memory the moment her father mentioned that I snatch the bell. So, it saved us the time to explain to her.

Hopefully, she had fun skimming through my memory.

“Hehe…” I giggle. She noticed my giggle and sparks flying towards me.

“Owh!”

“Hmph,” She turned away and faced her father, “Erm… it’s the other way around, but thanks for agreeing, Dad.”

“Just be sure to be careful when you’re in that world.”

“Got it,” She agreed as her lights brighten.

“Okay, that problem is solved, but there’s still the problem about me being reincarnated as a baby,” I told them about my concern.

“Oh yeah, I forgot about that, let me think, for a second.”

Holway began to think of a solution to the problem as his lights flicker.

While he’s at it, I asked Lily a question, “Hey, Lily, are going to the new world looking just like that?”

“Huh?” she brightens up.

She cast a mirror in front of her, and her lights dimmed, “Oh! Definitely! Not going to look like this.”

She twisted and turned, and here I was wondering that she’s in her ball of light form. Why would she do that? Strange.

She said, “But, I don’t know who should I look like.”

“How about pick one of the girls in my memory, maybe one of them suits your sizes,” I teased her.

“Huh? Are you saying I’m fat?” she yelled.

“Did, I said that word, of course not, all I said was to pick one of the girls from my memory…. I didn’t say anything about you being fat.”

“Hmph,” She blinked.

I could imagine her pouted inside that ball of light.

“Your imagining weird things, aren’t you?”

“What if I did?”

“Pervert!”

I didn’t even imagine weird things. I sighed.

She could read my mind and see if I was lying. I better clear this up.

“Relax. I didn’t imagine any weird things. Plus, you and I are two different kinds. I’m a human that’ll be reincarnated, and you’re a deity that has immersive powers. You can just flick your finger and punish me. Plus, having some weird thoughts about you never cross my mind.”

I continued, “Anyways, you need to choose your disguises before we head out to the new world.”

She starts to brighten up, and fumes began to come out from her. She's angry at me. After some time, she flew towards me.

“Alright, alright,” She agreed.

“Hmm, I hope there are some pretty ones,” she said.

“Hah,” I giggle, “They are not only pretty, but they are top tiers.”

“Let’s see if you’re right about that.”

Lily focused on my memories and isolated the women from the other memory. She grouped them into low and high tiers. I kind of feel like a closet of clothes right now, but rather than picking clothes, it's women that she was going to picks.

“Wow, you don’t discriminate people you hang out with or ‘date'.”

“Yup,” I added, “I only view their personality rather than their physical appearance. Most of them are trash, and I hate them for that, but I did screw some of them, if I feel like it.”

“Wow. Alex, you really are trash,” She told me. Her words stabbed straight through my heart, and it hurts a lot.

“You said ‘most’, then there must be women you respect, right?”

“Yup.”

“If you may, can I try them?” She asked my permission.

“Sure, you can wear all of them, including Chloe, but don’t wear Kalina,” I cautioned her.

“Okay, no Kalina got it-,” She paused before continuing.

“I think….. I like to wear K-,“in a flash. I blocked her from my mind, using the modified version of the Memory Viewer ability.

“What the heck was that?” she asked.

I felt angry as I looked at her.

“You’re going to wear Kalina, right?”

“Yeah, but I just want to try at least once.”

“No!”

“Pleaseeeee?” she pleaded.

I looked at Lily and showed her some of my memories with Kalina. She viewed it, and she gasped at what happened to her.

“I’m sorry, it was wrong of me to pressure you like that,” She apologized.

“Don’t try to be Kalina again,” I warned her. She nodded.

Lily picked Chloe as her disguise and transformed into her. She spun around before facing me, “What do you think?”

“Hmm…. Try flirting me,” I teased her.

She proceeded to karate chop my head, and I felt the pain rush through my body. I hassle to heal the wound caused by her.

“That’s for trying to suggest something indecent,” She glared at me.

At least I could tell the difference between them both. Chloe would ignore my attics or blatantly refused me. Lily was more hot-tempered and would hit me if I tried to flirt with her. The one thing that they are like each other was the fact that they hate my guts.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m just messing with you,” I told her.

After I finish talking to her, Holway flew toward us and immediately looked at Lily.

“Wow, you look stunning,” Holway compliment her daughters while I was waiting for the solution.

“Thanks, Dad,” She cheered.

“Anyways, Alex, how do you see my daughter?” he asked my impression of her.

“Can you cast me a tea first before I tell you what I think?” I told him. He then cast a teacup filled with tea and hovered it to me.

I took the tea and sipped it. I puffed out before continuing to tell my honest impression of her, “She is hot-headed, but she can work.”

“Huh? Do you want to die?” She gets provoked.

“Well, thank you for your honest feeling,” he continued, “Alex, you being a baby will hinder the progress of the mission.”

“Yes, I know,” I told him.

Being a baby would surely be an obstacle for the mission as we have to wait for my reincarnated body to age. Plus, the whole training arc was needed. For me to maintain my physical, spiritual and mental strength. I wanted to skip all of it and headed straight to find those teenagers.

Holway continued, “So, that’s why, the exorcism deity will let you possess someone.”

Oh great, I could possess someone and skips the long training arc.

“But!”

“But?” both Lily and I looked at him and waited for his continuation.

There was a long pause between us, and I could feel sweets running through my cheeks as we waited.

“You need to possess someone close to dying,” he told me.

Once I heard it. I smiled and thought that could be a loophole. I figured if I possess someone. Who was close to dying. I might be able to take control of the person's body before he died. In addition, I could learn a few things about himself and others around him. It was the perfect plan.

“Wow…. You're so trash to do something like that,” she said after she read my mind.

“Its natural selection, Lily. The strong lives and the weak die, but I’m in between those two. If I can save him. I’ll save him, but if he can't be saved, then I'll not save him. I'll just let him, ‘slips away,’” I responded to her.

“Uh-huh…you’re still trash though,” Lily teased me. Ohh, she's getting on my nerves.

“Can you stop calling me that, Chubs?” I teased her back.

“Oi! Did you just call me fat?” Lily scorned.

“Nope, I just called you Chubs.”

“It’s the same thing as fat.”

“No, it’s not.”

“Yes, it is.”

“No.”

“Yes.”

We continued to bicker among ourselves until Holway reached his boiling point.

“Enough!” Holway yelled at us.

We stopped bickering and turned our heads towards him.

“Sorry, dad” Lily apologized for her behavior before elbowing me to do the same.

“Yeah, me too,” I reluctantly apologized because that elbow strike hurts a lot.

“I’m now worried about the people there, rather than you two,” he glared at us.

“We’ll try to be pleasant people with good hearts,” I assured him.

“You sure about that?”

I calculate the possibility of us making the world worst. I was surprised by the result.

“More like 50/50,” I lied. It was less than 50.

“Well, make sure not to do anything stupid, the both of you,” Holway sighed.

I figured he read my mind when I calculate the possibility. Well, I’m sorry if things start to go ugly.

“I promised I’ll be a good girl and keep an eye on this trash beside me,” she teased me again.

Okay, two could play the game.

“I promise too. I’ll try to keep an eye on Chubs here.”

She turned to look at me. I could feel her anger.

Lily, if you read this thought. Then we're even.

“So the task is to find the 11 reincarnatees and defeat the demon lords, got it,” I summarized.

Lily and Holway both nodded. If that sort out, I figured we could now head to the new world.

“Alright, Lily, I think that'll sort it out. Now we can enter the portal,” I told her.

“Yup,” she beamed.

So cute! It almost skips my heartbeat. Calm down, heart. There are plenty more fish in the sea and flowers in the garden.

I put both of my hands on my chest.

Both Lily and I walked towards the portal. When I moved my left foot, someone pulled my shirt. I looked behind and saw Lily with her head down.

“What’s the matter? Scared? If you’re, you can back down and let me handle this,” I told her.

“No, wait…,” she pulled my shirt. I couldn't even move.

Oh ho. Is she the type of person who acted hot-headed but friendlier inside? Hmm…? What a delightful thing to see in a person like her.

I looked at her with a gazing look and said, “I’m just doing a heroic thing. You’d believe in me.”

“Okay, I believe you,” She closed her eyes. Then, open it. In a flash, she kicked me in the groin.

I felt and cried in pain. The pain flowed through my body. I looked at her with tears of pain, “Why the fuck did you do that!?”

“You’re acting so cool, and I hate it,” She said, “ The term you’re looking for is ‘tsundere’.”

Huh? Are you fucking serious? It’s fucking hurt and tsundere? What’s that? Is that term came from the ‘cultural’ world?

“Kukukuku looks like you’re in pain, Alex,” Holway teased.

“Yeah, I know and feel it,” I shouted at him.

He shrugged at me and walked towards Lily, “Just be safe out there, okay?”

“Sure” She smiled.

She walked away and headed to the portal.

“Oi, you forget someone important here!” I waved my hand.

“Jeez, just use your healing spell.” Lily looked at me while I was still on the floor.

“I can’t… It hurt a lot… help…,” I begged.

Lily beamed as she heard those words. She sprinkled me with light magic, and the pain subdue.

I looked at her and said, “Thank you and fuck you,”

“You’re welcome and go to hell,” She responded.

Lily grabbed my arms and dragged me to the portal. “You’re ready, Trash?”

I smiled, “I’m more ready than ever before, Chubs.”

We continued to tease each other. Holway shouted at us and waved his hand. We turned and waved back at him.

After that, we stepped into the portal. Two beams of lights traveled through space and headed towards the new world. The portal closed behind us.
