《Raven's Tale》Chapter 4 - Camaraderie

Raven and Yaira had been missing for quite a few hours. Maria was worried sick, Stan trying to calm her down was arranging a group of men in the village to go and look for them in the forest.
The group composed of most of men in the village, only those incapable or old where left out, the villagers treated each other like family and they would always assemble if any harm was done to their fellow villagers.
They had gathered at the village entrance and would head into the forest with only a few weapons and poor armor that all they had, the village was peaceful so most people never kept weapons.
We are all going into the forest to look for my daughter Yaira and son Raven, it may be dangerous but we have no choice we can’t let anyone of our village get lost or killed in the forest.
Stan stood in front of the pack and shouted with energy and
with that they went into the dense dark forest at night, the full moon was gleaming beautifully and the people marching into danger stopped and couldn’t let themselves not appreciate the beautiful scene.
“Truly a great sight to behold” said a young man armed with an old kitchen knife.
Rustle Rustle
“Hey there something in that bush” a man shouted and grasped his axe tightly.
As they snapped out of their trance they prepared themselves for what was coming out of that bush.
“Let’s all attack it at once,it lessen the danger” another man said while holding a stick and trembling nonstop.
“Wait”someone said with weak trembling voice.
It was Yaira carrying raven in her back, she looked exhausted.
“Its them, they are okay”A man while relaxing and sitting down and sighed.
“Are you guys okay” Stan asked Yaira impatiently.

“I am fine but Raven hurt, we killed an enormous bear back there.” Yaira said with slow and weak voice
“W-what!, you killed a bear”A young man shouted out loud in surprise.
“Let’s not care about that for now, you 4 take them home”stan yelled, as he pointed out at the 4 men that were the least armed in the group.
“The rest follow me, we will see where they killed the bear and take it back to the village”Stan issued his orders and them they continued to delve deep into the forest.
They could see blood spattered all over the floor in a trail they followed it and saw the corpse of the huge bear and its decapitated head next to it,”Wow that one huge bear”,the man with the axe said while looking at the dead bear.
“Come on we have no time to waste, let’s carry it back to the village”Stan rapidly said, while everyone was still astonished at the sheer size of this huge bear.
Everyone left from the group was carrying the large bear dead body to the village, even with the 10 men putting their backs into it they still struggled greatly to carry it to the village.
after dropping it at the village center the men finally relaxed, it was almost dawn most people were tired and wanted to rest after such heavy work, everyone was returning home but, stan stayed and carefully examined the dead bear.
This isn’t an ordinary bear, this size and its red eyes, this is the king of the forest!.
Killing something like this, at such a young age, those two have potential to be warriors.
Raven was in a bed sleeping.
“That was extremely dangerous don't ever go do something like that again.”
Maria scolded Yaira while raven slept.

Raven waking up and noticing he was home was worried about how he got home, he tried to sit up and felt the piercing pain in his chest caused by the broken ribs but his withstood the pain and sat, his injuries had been treated and bandaged, there was some chicken soup next to him, without even thinking Raven took the soup and gulped it down like a mad man, he was peckish and still tired from yesterday battle, having finished the delicious chicken soup, he put the bowl aside in the desk next to the bed, and them the door opened someone came in.
“Raven you woke up?”Yaira said as she walked in
“Yes as you can see”
“Did we make too much noise, the people are making a fuss about what to do with that huge bear’s corpse”
“Was it you who carried me home?”
“Yes while i carried you until, I encountered the people from the village and told them everything, mom and dad were really worried you were lucky, I was scolded fiercely.”
“Yaira, Thank you very much you saved me” Raven said while smiling towards Yaira.
Yaira cheeks immediately became a colour of cherry pink, as Raven quickly laughed due to her being embarrassed.
“Huuh”Raven enveloped in his laughter suddenly felt another sting of the agonizing pain.
Yaira that was embarrassed a moment ago, immediately showed a worried face.
“Are you okay, is it not hurting, you can rest more if you like”Yaira said as she came towards me and pleaded me to rest.
“Don’t worry, this is nothing” Raven replied with calm tone, Raven was enduring the horrible pain to not worry Yaira and the others.
“I ate the chicken soup that was left here, it was delicious”
“Thank you I made it myself”Yaira said while puffing her chest displaying pride in her work.
“However, don’t get carried away mom’s is still better.”
Yaira who was happy until she heard these words, she quickly sulked.
“That is it i am leaving now then, you better rest!”Yaira said while she walked to the door
“Yes, I will” Raven said in a languid manner.
”yaaawn”
I never thought i would have people worrying about me, but it doesn’t feel so bad, for me and for them I need to get stronger.
What will i do it will probably take one or two months before i can start training again.
As Raven struggled to find a solution to what he would do for the upcoming months, he decided to stop thinking about it and just rest like Yaira told him to.

Soul Core Online
Soul Core Online was a game that few people were interested in until after it was released, due to its odd way of handling character growth but this soon changed as people started to realise just how different this game was. Unlike many of its predecessors the NPCs in Soul Core Online acted in a way that was indistinguishable from real people and the world felt alive because of this instead of the empty and sterile cities we had come to expect, even walking down the street could give you insights to how these people lived. In my case this was the world that I had always wanted to visit and I soon found myself embroiled in the constantly changing world that is Soul Core Online.
