《My Main Weapon .... Is A CLOAK?!?!》Secret of Kurokisei/The Start of the Quest

“Then get rid of it” the priest replied
“We tried to, but it is just too much and they aren’t as noticeable”
“Then let the boy solve it” as he showed the healer Yasu
“Wait, wait, wait, I don’t know anything about this stuff, since I haven’t used this sword on someone till now” as I slowly backed away with the help of Kate supporting me
“So would you want to be executed for the death of the hero?” he asked
“N-n-no…”
“Then get to it!” as he walks away from the scene of the hero
“So what is this”
I inspected the black substance with the help of the demon’s eye
*Material: Parasitic dust*
*A special dust that is secreted from Masamusa, which prevents the healing and revival of enemies, resulting in instant death*
*Can only be cured, though an antidote that is provided, within Masamusa*
“Is this sword Masamusa?”
I started to check the sword if there was a hidden compartment where the antidote was stored
Looking around and shaking the sword, I found nothing, until I decided to check the sheathing
Apparently, the sheathe had the antidote as there was a liquid moving around within the sheathe
Not knowing where it is, I randomly tilted the sheathe and there were drops of liquid that came out of it
Upon inspecting it, I got this:
*Material: Terrax Water*
*Water that is only secreted from the sheathing, which then comes to contact with the blade, preventing the damaging of the sheathe*
*Can remove/kill the properties of certain chemicals*
Having no choice, as I tilted the sheath on top of the hero’s body, where the dust lays and allowed the water to drop onto the hero
Surprisingly the water worked quickly and got rid of the dust within 2-3 drops of the water
I then did the same for Manda, as I felt slightly bad for him as I sliced his back and allowed him to suffer trauma
After that, I was thanked by the healers and I took my leave and headed back to the castle
Upon arriving, I saw the tree that I had just cut the other day and went to it without Kate’s help as I have recovered, and applied the water onto the trunk to prevent from rotting the tree as it had already done to the up half of the tree as it was no were to be found anymore
Luckily the truck was thicker and sturdier than its upper half as it still got nutrients from its roots slowly delaying the black dust from consuming it
After that matter had been set I remembered that we still had a quest to finish, since I had time I took a look at what the quest was about

“...”
“I am guessing this is involved, Lily”
“So what mission are you guys doing this time?”
I looked up from the paper to see Misty close to my face, shocked I jumped back
“What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I decided to see, you when I saw you next to the trunk of the tree doing something, then checked on a quest paper”
“Oh…”
“So what did you do with the trunk of the tree,” she asked
“Should I tell her?”
“So…” as she got more curious
Started being uncomfortable with her curiosity as she kept getting closer and closer and asking and asking
And I gave up after she repeated for the third time since she was close, enough to kiss me
“Alright, alright, I will tell you, now can you back up a little?”
In agreement, she backed up in front of me
“So are you going to tell me now?”
“*Sign*, ok, I would like you to pay attention since I won’t say it twice”
“So… the tree I cut… it had a special dust that is secreted from this sword and landed on the trunk, which prevents the tree from healing or reviving as well as the dust would slow eat it away and using the stuff in my sheathe would cleanse and kill this black dust along with other injuries”
“You got it?”
I said this quickly so that I wouldn't have to waste time, though it is nice to be near Mist as she gives off a comforting aura
Mist is confused, didn’t bother to ask for a repeat, and lied
“Yes, I got it” smiling
“Alright then, I will make my way to do the quest, tell everyone that I will start the quest without them”
“Alright, I will you later then”
I then started to go out of the castle and went to a nearby alleyway to avoid any unnecessary attention and I flipped the coin that was given to me by Lily, which then took me to the Abyss
But once I got transported, I found myself in a cell
“Why am I here?”
I tried the door to the cell I was in to see if the door was unlocked, but it wasn’t
The area I was in was barely visible, the only that provided some light was the mysterious moonlight that shined through a window at the end of the hallway
Even though using my night vision would help me see the area and the cell I am in more clearly, but once I did the light that slightly illuminated suddenly got brighter
It was so bright it felt like that bright would make me completely blind, so I turned off the night vision and I was back to the barely lit room

“So the moon is like the sun, even though the sky is dark and the light is as bright as the moon”
“Maybe it is best to cut it”
As I reached for my sword and unsheathed it, it didn’t unsheathe, so I kept on trying until I gave up and that was when it gave me a notification
*Sub-Weapons can’t be used*
“...”
“You got to be kidding me” as I did a facepalm
Being back to being weak, I had to find another way to get out
So, I did what I should have done a long time ago, call for help
“HEY! LILY ARE YOU THERE! GET ME OUT OF HERE!” I shouted
“...” no reply
“Ok what do I go now”
That is when I remembered something, I can use my cloak to make light
I then changed my cloak, back to the sun cloak and then used illuminate, which illuminated the room and the first thing that I saw shocked me as I say a skeleton laying there on the ground as well as some currently rotting corpses, but you couldn’t smell rotting of the dead body
“I may become like them if I don’t get out of here quickly!”
I searched the room for anything I could find, but there was nothing, no windows, no cracks, no key, nothing
Then I went to my last resort
To create combustion between me and my enemy, the wall
Using combustion, I lose health and gained nothing as the wall wasn't harmed
“I am guessing that the enemy has to be hostile for the combustion to work”
HP 250 → 200
MP 100 → 75
I then decided to heal myself using my sun cloak’s heal ability
MP → 25
HP 200 → 250
POWER 49 → 39
*Power is used for specific abilities when using the Sun cloak (doesn’t apply to combustion)*
*Recharged when made into contact with sunlight
After healing up, I then heard faint footsteps and a door opening within the room, I called for help while turning off my illumination
The person who heard me then came to the cell that I was in
It was another demon just like Lily, what I could make out with the use of the moonlight was that he was wearing a suit and tie, and had red demonic eyes which stood out every vividly
He and I made eye contact, which kinda scared me as I could make out his facial expression nor could I tell would he would say or do to me
He then looked away from me and quietly made his way to the door cell and opened it, but it didn’t look like he was opening it with a key
As the door unlocked, he then went into the cell and started to approach me with nice and slow footsteps as he was about to prey on me
Fearing that he would devour me or kill me, I illuminated my cloak, which blinded him due to the sudden flash in his eyes
*New ability discovered*
Flash: Quickly emits a light that can blind enemies
MP: 25 → 20
POWER: 39 → 34
Blinded, it gave me a chance to escape and make my way out, as I walked out of the cell I closed it behind me, leaving the blinded man locked within the cell and when to the door where the man possibly have entered from using the light provided by my cloak, I quick wandered around the area to find an exit
In the middle of running, I could hear a roar coming from behind, which I would only assume that it came from the person I looked back at the cell which made me anxious as he probably knows this area better than I did
I continued running into every path and room I could find that could get me out of here
*bing*
*You are being pursued, combat mode engaged*
*+100 A*
This made me even faster, as I started to blaze through every room until I hit a dead-end
About to turn back I see the demon trapping me from getting out and it also seems like it had adjusted to the brightness of the light emitted from my cloak
To make things worst the light on my cloak started to get dimmer as it is indicated that it is almost out of power
POWER 34 → 20
Using my demon eye wouldn’t help either as the night vision made the moon’s light brighter
As it approached me, it then lunged at me, and the feeling of impact of the lunge led me to fall to the ground
Seeing the demon snarl, it opened its mouth showing several rows of teeth as he got closer to me as it was about to me and then I closed my eyes
Then a clap could be heard in the distance, several claps

8 5621A Place to Belong - A LitRPG Adventure
Levi was happy with the life he had built for himself. He had a stable job, decent lodgings, and every weekend he alternated between hiking and biking in the mountains outside of town to keep in shape. There might have been downsides, like no real family or friends and an ex-girlfriend he would rather not think about, but he thought his dad would be proud of what he had done with his life. Levi was content with his prefect walled in regimented life, and even if there was a small part of him that wanted more, wanted actual meaningful relationships, he kept that part of him tightly locked away. Those relationships weren’t worth the pain they inevitably caused. But when a powerful supernatural force sweeps through Earth, Levi finds himself forced into a new environment, the social mask he used before no longer valid. With no choice but to survive and grow, he now needs to confront those feelings he thought he locked away for good. He needs to not only figure out how to survive, but how to live, and what exactly it means to have a place to call home.
