《The one above all》Chapter 4- 72nd Platoon- Unranked Soldier Falinn

Town of Winslow, Country of Trianta
Before heading over to the Cavern Inn where Captain Rin told any to go if they were interested, I decided to pay visit to the family of Victor. 'I never got their names now that I think about it'. 'Then again, I never told them mine either. ......Yan? Is Yan a good name? Maybe a little too out of the ordinary? I should probably think of something else before I get there.' I thought.
After about a minute of searching with my magic vision, I finally discovered their familiar aura's. Although it took me a while to find them, it really shouldn't have taken that long. 'Damn, I guess I have gotten a little weaker over the years.' I thought with a fustrated face. After a good 5 minute walk across the Plaza to their area of the Town, I finally arrived in front of their house. Well, not really a house depending on how you look at it but it was better than nothing. It looked more like a Cabin. It was a small wooden structure with only one window from the front as far as I can see. Just like all the other windows, it too was cloudy making it hard to see through. The wood on the exterior was a little better than the rest of the town's making it seem a little more....alive. I walked up to their door and gave a couple knocks.
*Knock knock knock*. "Hello, it's me again uhh.......'Dale? no.' Falinn. You know, the guy from the plaza who asked for directions." Surprisingly, the door opened pretty quickly after my knocking and behind it stood the younger girl from before.
"Falinn!" she screams before hugging me. "Have you found my brother yet?" she asks while still burying her face in my stomach.
"Elina, get off him please. He's not a toy." said the other older sister.
"The names Lily. Sorry for not saying it earlier, but you were only a stranger. Now that you're taking such a troublesome task from my little sister, I'm gonna have to change it up a bit.' she said while having a good giggle.

"The names Falinn, and its quite alright. I've never had a little sister before." I say while looking down at Elina.
"Well, what brings you here to this small place called home?" Lily says.
"Actually, I decided to join the army and before I go I wanted to give you guys something." I said while pulling out a small golden necklace previously hidden under my clothes and handing it to Lily.
"Wha...what is this? I can't accept this Mr.Falin. It's too valuable." Lily says in an embarrassing manner.
"No no, it's okay. Think of it as payment for helping me earlier. But there is another reason why I'm giving it to you. You see, I'm a mage and this necklace is no ordinary necklace. If you would like, you can sell the necklace for money but please keep the small red crystal inside." Lily then opens the small necklace to find an even smaller red crystal that seems to have some sort of power running through it. Elina then runs over to her sister to also get a good look at it.
"So shiny." Elina says in admiration.
"Make sure to keep it on you at all times. When it starts to glow, put it on the ground and step back a couple feet. I'm sure what comes after will surprise you all." I say with a nice smile and good laugh.
"I..Were so grateful Mr.Falin." Lily says while holding her little sister.
"Its no problem. I couldn't live as an empe- man if I couldn't do this much. Well it's best if I go now. The sun's starting to die down. Wouldn't want to miss the recruitment. I hope I can meet you guys later in the future." I say while walking away and waving goodbye at them.
Walking back towards the town plaza, I noticed the only other person walking around during this time. An old man wearing a gray hood and the same colored clothes. He was pretty small, only measuring around 5'1 and had a long gray beard. But what's most interesting is the aura around him.
'A mage'. I thought.

Before arriving at the Cavern Inn door, which was the tallest building in the town with 4 stories, I really started to think about mages as a whole. You see, during my reign, mages weren't very common. Actually, they were very rare. 1 in a 100,000 I would say with a population of about 30 million. These mages didn't have only your typical fireballs and healing spells, but each mage carried a unique power. Some would be able to become completely invisible for a small duration of times or others would be able to levitate things. It's all very random. You wouldn't even know your a mage until around the ages of 7-15, when your magical powers fully develop. Of course the earlier it develops, the more magical power that individual has. That's primarily the reason why Noble families try arranging marriages with other Nobles with quicker developing rates. But out of these mages is a special type of Mage who holds an extremely powerful ability. These mages are born once every 1,000 years and have the ability to control the whole world. This is where I am. We called these mages, "The one above all". The one who, if playing the right cards, can either completely destroy the world or rule it. These mages never repeated previous abilities but each one was just as strong.
"Hello." I said as I waved at the old man.
"Ahh, hello. You going to the recruitment too?" He says with a voice surprisingly strong for his age.
"Yeah. Guessing the army would need a mage in their ranks." I said and then chuckling.
"Ohh, your a mage too? What's your Special? ....Ahh just kidding. That would be very rude of me to ask such a question. The names Peter Van Serin. Yes I know, I must be a noble because of my last name but I assure you I am not. At least not anymore."
"Sorry to hear that. My names Falinn. Just a commoner."
"A mage commoner? Well that's a first for me. I've never met any mage commoners before." Peter says as he opens the door to the Inn. I walked in first as he was holding the door and notice the small line in front of me. Probably around 10 people, some from the plaza because I memorized a couple of their faces.
"Wow. I didn't think this many would come. Just follow me Falinn. Since were mages, we get a little bit more..... special service." Peter says as he cuts through the line all the way towards the front. In front of the small line was 2 of the Captain's subordinates inspecting the candidates.
"Oiiiyy, this one's good. Get him his uniform and give him a room." One of the Soldier shouts to the other Subordinates.
"Excuse me Young Sir, but me and my friend here are mages." Peter says while putting his hand on my right shoulder.
"Ohoho, mages ayy? Oiiyy, Khali. Write these guys info down and give em' each a room. Captain will be glad with this." The soldier smiles as he looks at the two of us showing his yellow teeth. Skipping the whole waiting process and inspection as well, I was finally given an Army badge and taken to my room. The bronze army badge had a large tree indented in it indicating my rank and army affiliation.
Finally settling down I took off my smelly clothes and decided I take a bath. As I took off my shirt, and inspecting all my scars ridden all over my body, there was something on me that wasn't there before. A large black phoenix tattoo on my back.
"Whe....When did this get here?" I mumble in confusion.
Upon touching the tattoo, I felt a large wave of magical energy attacking my body. The large phoenix tattoo turned into a golden color before fading away and turning back to its original black.
'It seems there are still many questions left unanswered. Why was I brought back alive? Who did it?' I thought while inspecting the large tattoo.
"Well no use asking now. It's best If I take a shower and get some shuteye. We leave early in the morning anyways."
"My adventure begins tomorrow."

The War of our Stars (SWTOR Fan fiction)
YAH, PICTURE! Also, I used "The Old Republic", as I couldn't fit in "Star Wars"....... Yes, the title does mean something. I guess this is a SWTOR Alternate Universe Fanfiction? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I used glowtxt, Microsoft word, and paint to make that. I DO NOT OWN THE PICTURE, I got it when I searched up "copyright free". Also, I just used glowtxt, but if whoever made glowtxt wants me to stop, I'll get rid of it. Whilst this is a fanfiction of SWTOR, the setting is VERY different, you will not see any SWTOR characters within this Novel, there will be places both made up and already existing in SWTOR. Take for example, whilst the Dark Council still exists, it will have completely different members. Also, there are minor changes to the history before and during the Old Republic, but there is little overall change, with the main character starting out at a similar time to a starting character. Star Wars the Old Republic Fanfiction. You'll understand the title, not in the first chapter, but as Frederick goes to outer space. Before the Rule of Two, there were multitudes of Sith and Jedi. Numbering thousands of both Sith and Jedi, a great war between the Empire and Republic has existed since time immemorial. From our World, a young boy named Frederick is born into the Galaxy of Star Wars, born into an Imperial Family, he lives up to the expectations of becoming a powerful Sith. But all he wants to do is to survive.... But by surviving, he does more so than simply surviving. Many have made star wars fanfictions, and this one will probably...... (I have read, watched and played Star Wars, so here you go) NOTES: Action and Adventure are a bit light for the first few Planetary Arcs. I'm terrible at comedy and romance will come will really late. Absolutely terrible until Corellia.

Humanity Extinguished
I had the same nightmare again. The loss of my first life continues to haunt me, but now it aches like an old wound. A more grievous injury to my psyche was the losses yet to come and the inevitable hellscape I would return to again and again. Reincarnation is my curse. The lives themselves weren't all that bad. Losing people you cared about hurt and all, but even that pain was preferable to experiencing the nothingness between lives for months at a time. It was enough to drive anyone mad. Now I have to focus on breaking this horrible cycle. Thankfully I have all the time in the world. Trace is an average man driven by extraordinary circumstances in an indifferent and cruel world. His reincarnations give him a few key advantages but also take a heavy toll on him. He lives in a world where magic is uncommon and underpowered compared to the limitless physical adaptations you can acquire by getting your hands a little bloody. This story is one of hardship and terrible lows, but also monumental achievements and grand heights. The main character has flaws. While some of these flaws will fade with time, others will worsen. Thank you for taking the time to read my synopsis. I plan to release 2-3 chapters a week. Cover art is 'The Siege and Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans Under the Command of Titus, A.D. 70' by David Roberts. This art is in the public domain.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
