Chapter 7 (POP goes the beetle)

Riley crouched down and prepared some throwing knifes as fast as she could, however the bunny creatures were quicker and started to encircle her cutting off her escape routes.

Riley: “Che looks like you guys are going to be a pain huh.”

At the same time the gigantic bugs akin to a giant roach with teeth started crawling towards her.

Riley: “Geh these guys weird me out.”

Riley then started glowing blue as she readied up her magic but the Rabbits had plans other than waiting for her to finish and immediately jumped at her.

Riley: “You just activated my trap card.”

As she said that 3 of the 5 rabbits were impaled with throwing knifes and almost instantly died.

However the other two seemed to be smarter than the rest and had waited to see what would happen however since their brethren had been wiped out they decided to retreat and ran off.

Riley then spun around and faced the giant bugs

Riley: “Mmh 10 of these guys.”

After counting the number of enemies she started glowing brighter and jumped into the air.

3 beetles followed suit and launched up into the air using their wings however 2 of them were instantly killed and grounded by throwing knifes.

The last one managed to dodge the throwing knife and took a bite at Riley.

Riley quickly dodged the bite and flipped forward bringing her heel down right on top of the bugs head.

The instant her heel impacted its head a large blue shock-wave shot out and they both came crashing down to earth.

The impact from her landing killed 4 of the surrounding bugs, squishing them and launching a thick green goop everywhere, not to mention the fact that the bug she kicked was now a nice paste.

The remaining three bugs all tried to bite at her at once only to have Riley preform an amazing high kick on the one in front of her splitting it in half, from that motion she then rotated her body, and using the momentum she then preformed a spectacular roundhouse (Chuck would be proud) on the one to her left, after finishing that maneuver she then did a back-flip and crushed the last bug spraying more bug juice everywhere.

Riley: “Gross this is why I hate fighting bug creatures.”

Riley lamented to herself as she wiped green goo off of her tattered cloak.

She then proceeded to inspect the Deryun and after confirming that the claws were intact she began to collect them, she also skinned it as much as possible and removed the spines on its back just in case she found someone that could make armor and weapons out of these materials.

Riley: “Whew that took longer than expected but I can still hopefully make it back before nightfall.”

After saying that Riley walked back to her horse carrying a bag filled with the various parts harvested from the Deryun, after she tied the bag to her horse she slowly climbed on and started riding.

Riley was trying to head back to John as fast as possible however it seemed like today would be a very bad day for that.

After riding for about 30 minutes she encountered a very unfortunate sight.

The road was blocked off by 30 of the monster rabbits with one individual standing in front of them.

After Riley dismounted her horse she began carefully approaching the road block and what she saw next stunned her.

Standing in the center of the rabbits was a goblin with a horribly disfigured face, even by goblins standards.

The goblin glared daggers at her and then spoke.

Goblin: “SMERG SEEK VENGANCE.”

Riley then emitted immense killing intent towards this odd goblin.

Riley: “you’ve got 10 seconds before I kill you.”

The goblin named Smerg shrieked and pointed his finger towards Riley.

Smerg: “WABBITS ATTACK!”

The rabbits launched towards Riley however she really didn’t feel like dealing with this right now so she fired up her magic and in the blink of an eye half of the rabbits had been killed.

Smerg: “IMPOSSIBLE!!1!!1”

Riley: “SHUT UP ALLREADY!”

As Riley screamed at the goblin she dropped in front of it and preformed a football punt right onto its already deformed chin causing it to launch into the distance out of sight.

With their apparent leader gone the monster rabbits scattered away from Riley.

Riley: “Sigh… Well I can at least make it by night fall.”

Riley then re mounted her horse and took off for the town again.

Hey guys Sorry for the small chapter Chapter 8 is going to be HUUUGE and also up tonight. Mmh also needs to be noted I'm thirsty for comments any and every comment i get is highly valued weitehr positive or negative. the biggest question i would like answered is HOW DO YOU LIKE THE STORY SO FAR!

other than that i'm doing frequent charity stuff for my race right now so i'm very busy but expect more chapters soon!
