Chapter 17 (Raw)
Eddie felt as sharp pain jabbed into the nape of his neck. The wolf pack leader had a firm grip on Eddie neck. Another bit Eddie in the left ankle just of the tendon. The remaining wolves found spots in Eddie's defenseless guard to sink their fangs into. Eddie felt like as if he was riding on a roller coaster ride with head and limbs being yanked in many different directions. He had no control over his body. He face smacked the lawn with such brute force that he he feared his nose had broke. That was the least of his worries as his agonizing screams grew ever louder as he thought the flesh was being torn from his body and devoured. Conjuring all his might, Eddie pushed up with his arms and dragged his knees, slightly etching forward.
The wolf pack was startled the boy's bravery. Suddenly they seized their attacks and began encircling the boy once again as if they wear playing with their food. Eddie didn't have to see, but he knew that he was a bloody mess. The leader of the wold pack let out an horrifying howling as it lead the second assault on Eddie. Eddie was not quite defenseless as before as he subconsciously sat up and awaited for the first wolf to pounce and go for his face or throat. Eddie block well with his arm, shielding his face from being mauled. The pain was very excruciating as it was being crushed under the jaws of the wolf pack leader, but his adrenaline and will to survive.
Mustering all the strength to his feet, Eddie pushed upright with the wolf directly above and sent it flying out of sight. His eye grew wide with surprise and excitement, but he had no time to ponder and celebrate is brief victor when the pain inflicted upon him and the angry roar snapped him back to reality of his predicament. The fear no longer lingered within him. It was replaced with new found courage and rage. For once in his life, Eddie disregard his safety and life and let the darkness and fury from with him consumed his will. The wolf leader howled before inching and ready to pounce with the intent to kill.

The air around Eddie began to swirl into a cyclonic wind funnel. His skin glowed like an orange strobe light. An aura appeared out of no where and shrouded Eddie like a cloak. The shroud of condense mana became transparent as boiling hot water. The bubble splashes that came oozing out from the shroud transformed into magma. Eddie held out his right hand like a stop signal. His hand pulse for a split second. Mana started accumulating mana to his palm then in a blink of an eye a fireball that suddenly taken the shape of a human hand lashed out at the wolf pack. It was nearly twice the size of him.
A tomahawk flew in from the west, which was from Eddie's right and cut the fireball in half before it had any chance to reach the wolf pack. Then the tomahawk the reverted back to its original location as if it was called back upon its wielder. No doubt the work of seidr. The pack scattered and fled in fear. Eddie went on all fours like a hound then glared at the approaching adults. His body started undergoing transformation and he looked more inhuman by the minute. The iris of his eyes became slit. Golden pupils replaced Eddie's blue eyes along with him developing dragon fangs and claws. And lastly the aura around Eddie set him ablaze. The lawn and wooden posts fences were set ablaze and. The mansion and building were in danger of being set on fire as the gust began to blow wildly across the preserve.
“Put out the fires! Quickly!” Grandma screamed.
“By the gods! What has become of the young master,” Rosa said exiting the manor with concern.
The sight of Eddie terrifies her.
“Never mind about that! Go into my study and fetch me my potions!”

Walter water hosed the fires and prevented most of the damage from reaching the garden and buildings. The fairies were weaving some form or pixie seidr Cassandra approach her son with little to no caution about her safety. Grandma warned her not to get too close, but she ignored her mother in law. All she cared about was getting her son back to normal. The demonically possessed Eddie growled at her with disgust as she approached him unarmed with arms sprawled open.
“Eddie-boy! Stop this madness! Don't let that 'thing' control you!”
“Wait! Stop!” Katheryn (Eddie's Grandma) started chasing at Cassandra but it was too late. Cassandra embraced her son and soothed him.
“Everything is going to be alright, sweetie. It is all over now. Mommy apologizes for everything. Please find it in my heart to forgive—”
Eddie plunged his right arm into Cassandra's chest with arm halfway in. In that wicked moment, Eddie regained consciousness. His arm felt sticky and warm. He looked up at his mother's face. Her eyes were wide opened as if something surprised her. Then she smiled sincerely. How he missed that smile. It made feel at peace. The pure irony of a harsh reality stripped him of that peace when Cassandra spontaneously coughed out blood. Some splattered over his face. Cassandra's legs buckles and she fell hard to the ground as her blood soaked the earth.
Countless thoughts ran through his head. Confusion. Sadness. Sorrow. The demonic aura began to dissipate. Eddie's human form restored in several seconds. Eddie couldn't believe what he saw as look to his arm covered in his own mother's blood. This cannot be real his mind spoke. Grandma Katheryn and the crew came to Cassandra's aid as she was in pain. Eddie started crying and that was the last thing he would ever remember of this event when a came from behind middle aged native American man brought the butt end his tomahawk down in between Eddie's shoulder blades and he was knocked out unconscious.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.
