Aariv dodges another monster that tried to sneak up on him.
[Passive Skill: Danger Sense] - Lv. 1 ---> [Passive Skill: Danger Sense] - Lv. 2
The thunder cat growled at Aariv. The feline then started to circle the owl, looking for any weak point. Aariv kept his eyes on the thunder cat, preparing to attack.
After a tense moment between the owl and cat, the thunder cat stopped moving. A rush of electricity sparked through its body, and it leapt at Aariv.
Aariv dodged and slams the thunder cat with his talons, crushing its skull.
Defeated [Thunder Cat] - 12.
Experience is awarded.
[Incognita] - Lv. 26 ---> [Incognita] - Lv. 27
"They're just coming out of the woodwork aren't they?" Aariv questions, his foot still on the thunder cat's crushed skull. Shortly after he got to level twenty-six, Aariv noticed that some weaker monsters seemd to flee at the sight of him or become hostile and attack.
"Another mystery to add to my list I guess," Aariv said. He flew away from the dead thunder cat and went hunting.
...
...
...
"Argh!" Aariv grunted as talons raked his body, unable to pierce his body due to his armor. He fired dozens of ice arrows at the monster that he was fighting.
The monster dodged and leapt away from Aariv. The monster was a hawk with feathers that looked like steel, with blood-red eyes, and had talons like knives that were larger than a human's hand. it was huge, larger than a human toddler.
[Razor-Steel Hawk] - Lv. 22 - A hawk whose feathers are harder than steel. Their feathers and talons can slice through stone and steel with ease. They are fast and their harder than steel feathers make them a dangerous foe to fight. They are called 'Demons of the Sky' as they will target any living thing and kill them no matter what, including their own kind. These hawks seem to delight in the act of killing.

The hawk screeched at Aariv and flew at him. Aariv flapsped his wings, sending gusts of wind at the razor-steel hawk slowing it down. He took the opportunity to fly away.
The gust of wind, however, barely slowed the hawk. It quickly started to catch up to him, dodging ice arrows, fireballs, wind, and water bullets.
The hawk screeched and suddenly becoming faster and faster as it chased Aariv.
Aariv took a sharp turn to the left; the hawk speed past him in a grey blur. Aariv activated [Stealth] and quietly flew away from the direction that the hawk went.
"That hawk is too goddamn annoying," Aariv growls. The razor-steel hawk had been chasing after him once it had spotted him.
No matter how many times he had tried to shake the hawk off his tail, it always managed to catch up with him.
Aariv looked over his shoulder to see if the hawk was still after him. Sure enough, he could see the hawk, its red eyes ominously staring at him.
"Oh, come on! Why can't you just leave me alone!" Aariv growls. He dodged to the side, making the hawk slam into a tree causing splinters to fly everywhere.
Aariv immediately launched fireball after fireball at the hawk until his mana was nearly at the hawk, setting the tree on fire. The razor-steel hawk screeched in pain.

Aariv kept his guard up since the notification for the hawk's death didn't come up. Behind the smog, one single red eye could be seen and a loud screech caused Aariv to flinch.
[Fear Resistance] - Lv. 1 Acquired.
The hawk flew out of the smog, its feathers burned, and one of its eyes was burned shut. The hawk glared at Aariv with its one eye.

"Now it isn't so fun anymore huh?" Aariv asks. The hawk just screech at him
The hawk flew toward Aariv causing him to dodge. Trees were cut into pieces as the razor-steel hawk's wings slice through them.
Aariv duck under the hawk, and rake his talons the underbelly of the hawk, not leaving a single scratch on it, only sparks appeared as he scratches his talons at the hawk.
The hawk's sharp talons shot towards Aariv ready to impale him.
The hawk's talons scratch Aariv, cracking his armors, and was cutting into his back. Aariv dive to the ground as he felt blood running down his back.
He hid in the shadow, activating [Stealth], and check his wounds, blood was gushing out but he could it was slowly healing.
[Lesser Regeneration] - Lv. 2 ---> [Lesser Regeneration] - Lv. 3
"I can't hurt that damn hawk since its feathers are too hard," Aariv said. "Slicing won't work, so I guess I'll have to dent it."
The hawk flew around angrily, searching for him, slicing trees or other monsters in anger. Aariv checks his wound, the wound was scabbing, then he checked his stats.

"One fireball costs twenty mana so I can cast three fireballs," Aariv said, as he looked back at the hawk. The hawk was starting to get near him. It didn't know where that he was exactly but could tell he was close. "Well, got to make the most of them."
Aariv stretched his body and took flight, straight into the razor-steel hawk, right into its face, catching the bird in surprise. A small ball of fire began to form, growing bigger and bigger until it flew onto the hawk's body.
A cloud of smog covered the two, Aariv flew out of the cloud, coughing, feathers singed and bruised, but was slowly healing. He had grabbed the hawk with his talons and wasn't letting go.
Another fireball was cast and covered the two in an explosion. The hawk screeched loudly, hurting Aariv's ears and causing him to freeze, making him loosen his grip.
The hawk slammed its head onto Aariv, sending him to the ground.
Aariv managed to catch himself just in time and stop himself from slamming to the ground, by flapping his wings.
Now hovering over the ground, Aariv glared at the hawk.
"Why won't you just die!"

Queen in the Mud
A girl suddenly vanishes from her world and finds herself drifting in and out of consciousness in a world of pure darkness. Queen in the Mud is an unusual litrpg novel featuring a female monster protagonist as she makes her way through a vicious untamed world ruled by a "system." (Book one of this story is now available on kindle unlimited. To satisfy exclusivity requirements on that platform, the chapters here have been removed. Here is a link to the book on amazon. I do plan on posting chapters for book two on royal road, but I don't currently have an estimated date for release.) (Cover art by Monomus)

Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
