When he opened his eyes all around him was different. The air was very clean, the trees were different from the trees he always saw.
As he walked through the woods, he gradually lost his dizziness. He could not believe that he was still alive.
The last memory he remembers was when he was hit by a car and bumped his head.
As he walked, his mind gradually became clearer. He stopped at a lake to see his reflection in the water.
His eyes widened. His body and face were different. The first thing he noticed was his eyes, how come he had this big crystal blue eyes when he knew that he had a small almond brown eyes and how come that he had come up with a handsome face as he knew that he has an average face, even the clothes his wearing was not the same.
He wears an underneath plain black tracksuit and a patched-up kimono on its top, and a belt with pockets on his waist.
He sat to touch the water and confirm that it was really him, but before even touching the water he was surprised to see that the complexion of his hands was different.
It is a woman’s complexion, very delicate and soft. He observed it a little more before slapping himself.
Pak!
He slapped himself to wake up and looked at his hands again.
After the accident, he had no recollection of the events that followed. That makes him increasingly confused about his situation.
He stood up to examine his body when he noticed that there was a hidden journal underneath the kimono.
He took it and examined it.
“Ding! congratulation to you, you have me, your mysterious system to help you.”
When he holds the book, a mechanical sound rang to his ears which sounded like a game notification of his former life.

Suddenly, a floating blue transparent square appeared in front of him.
To his surprised about the sudden object, he tried to release the journal to determine if it was from the book he was holding. The journal fell to the ground, but the screen in front of him was not gone.
“Ding! Do you want to read the instruction for your System?”
“Ah, wait, wait, wait, System? Is it like a novel system?”
“Ding! You’re right!”
He took a deep breath while looking at his hands.
“If I had died in my world and transmigrated with this new body, what happened to the original owner of the body? is he dead? How? And why do I only remember my memories from my former life? Isn’t it logical if I had his memories too? Arg .. “
His questions annoyed him.
“System explain to me what you can do!”
“Ding! My name is Modification System “.
I can do modification at anything to change its defense, attack, and so on.
My ability depends on the amount of Soul Energy you can give me.
You have about 100% daily energy, and it refills up slowly whenever you take a break. You can use this energy for me to work.
But there is something that you cannot do; You cannot use your System Modification in your body.
For you to Modify properly you have to follow two rules.
First. Whenever you use me, you must touch the thing you want to modify.
Second. Touch the thing you modify for a second time or else I will not work again unless you do. “
He deeply thought about what the system said as he held his chin and stroke it gently.
He then took the journal and said “Modify” in his mind.

“Ding! Choose what you will change.
Name: Journal
Defense: 1
Hardness: 1 “
“hmm. you said that your ability consumption was on my Soul Energy and as I can see, there was a high possibility that I am at the safe zone because no one has attacked me since I woke up. Then I will just use 20% of my Soul Energy just to be sure and reserved 80% in case of emergency. Please use all the 20% at the harness of the journal. “
“Ding!
Name: Journal
Defense: 1
Hardness: 10
Special ability: When the hardness decreased, there is a 1% chance of increased defense. “
“Special ability! hmm... I will try it!”
He tried to tear down a page with gentle force until it reached the point where he used all his force, but to no avail. The journal was tough as a metal.
“Wow, this is tough! It’s like an iron! If I put it on fire, will it burn or it will melt !?”
He was very impressed with his system.
grraaaaahhhh ...
His stomach was complaining because of starvation, but he was in an unknown place. If he tried to walk further from his location, he was not sure if it is safe for him.
He just drank the water of the lake and rested his tired eyes first.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
