《The Putrid Assassin (Complete)》Chapter #18

When I finally calmed down and walked into the beach. Noona had already started a fire and was fishing in the water.
"Don't we need to find the poison vine I asked"
" Look around you this place is an oasis. And we have been traveling with so much stress recently" she spoke
Oh well, might as well do what she says I thought to myself it's not like I can go out on my own anyway.
I walked over to the fire and set my clothes to dry and grabbed a fishing pole. I then went to sit by lexi.
"What are we hoping to catch eels," I said in a joking tone of voice
"Anything you can catch I can cook" she responded
A lot of getting women to like you is just maintaining conversation I thought to myself.
"Dax pay attention something is biting your line," Lexi told me
Without even thinking about it I yanked to sink the hook. But whatever was on my line yanked back harder and I was almost sent flying into the water. Lexi grabbed me from behind and wrapped one hand around the rocky outcropping and one hand around me. I could feel her vulomptious peaks pressing against me.
Eventually, I managed to get it reeled in and pulled it up on the beach.
"You caught your self a red snapper there delicious. We eat well tonight" Lexi said.
We split the fish in half and sat on the field of sand. While I was eating I peered up and saw Lexis face she had talked her hood off and the firelight just made her seem even more beautiful. I wasn't gonna tell her that so I asked
"Do we need to set up a tent?"
"No we can just sleep on the beach we are underground so the temperature doesn't change," she said

"Well I'm going to sleep right here," I said
"Are you sure?" she asked
"Why wouldn't I be sure?" I asked
"What if a giant red snapper eats you in the night?"
I'm not stupid I knew she was fucking with me. So i responded with
"It's whatever I'm trying to die"
"Suit yourself," she said as she walked to the other side of the fire too lay down.
I proceeded to fall into the great cosmos of sleep. The next day I was awake first so I decided to throw water on noona. I was just about too when without even opening her eyes she spoke
"Dax if you do it I swear to god I'll kill you"
"A woman she is after all," I thought as a shiver ran down my spine.
"Haha I just thought you might be thirsty when you woke up"
"Whatever let's go dax" she said as she rolled up her mat and proceeded farther into the cavern. The cavern really was huge I couldn't see the end of it as I peered into the darkness. Oh well, I could see lexies figure and that's all that matters in thought to myself.
"Is this where the legend of the hidden world came from"
I asked Lexi as we walked through a forest with trees that were knee-high.
"I guess you could call this place a hidden world. We will have to fight a whole village to get the poison vine you know." She said
"How are we gonna fight a whole village with just the two of us" I asked
"Don't worry it's a whole village of people only a foot tall. The only weapon you'll need is your fists and a club," she said
After a while of walking, I asked

"How long until we encounter these midgets"
"We will come to a mountain pass that we will have to fight our way through. It is holy ground for them so they will fight us in an attempt to stop us from going through."
I never dreamed I'd go from a battlefield of cultivators to a battlefield of midgets I mused to myself.
"See that small village up ahead we have to pass through that and then through that crevice behind it" she said
Then she walked brought out a club from her pack and gave it to me.
"The only way is forward are you ready?"
I gave a slight nod and we walked towards the village across the clearing. A dinging sound came from the village and there was movement on the walls. Lexi broke out into a run and I followed we charged towards the knee-high fort. When I saw what looked like hundreds of toothpicks flying towards me in the air. Lexi stood in front of me and swung her hand through the air and created an airwave that blew them away.
"Careful these creatures make their weapons from a strange material that is extremely sharp"
Death from a thousand toothpicks wouldn't that be ironic.
