I knew there was about a zero percent chance he would take the chains off.
"If you leave behind an ability ring of my choosing Ill consider it."
Before he had time to finish his sentence I spun around and said "deal."
"Hoho give him the highest non soul bound crafting ring we have." cannon man replied.
I know he has a name but he will forever be cannon man for chaining me up this is my revenge.
The clerk reached under the desk and brought out a ring that looked like it was forged from marble. On it was two crossed hammers.
"Are you sure about this?" he asked the man that I was now facing the mysterious clerk with all the cool rings.
Cannon man spoke in a voice that was neither to fast or too slow "ill escort him myself so he cant runoff."
That could be considered a good or a bad thing depending on how you looked at it.
"Let's go" the guy who had put chains on me dared to talk to me but for some reason. As he walked away my feet followed him.
I followed him through the building to a large doorway that he unlocked and then down a flight of stairs.
Eventually, I ended up in a dimly lit room with a bunch of beast parts.
"With 4k you have enough to craft 4 legendary rings"
"Pick out the beast parts you want to use the more powerful the beast the higher your chance of success normally. There are labels at the bottom telling you what they do." I stayed silent as he said all of this.
I had already come up with ideas for what I was going to do.
As such, I walked to the back and picked out all the bits and pieces I needed and even a strange-looking knife.

"That knife is a super rare artifact I will only let you use it if your going to craft a legendary ring."
That's what he said when he saw me pick up the knife. With all of my beast parts selected he walked me out of that room.
The next room we entered was neither too hot or cold and it was dimly lit.
The only light was shinning on a chest that was against the back wall of the room.
Cannon man closed and locked the door behind us.
I had just thought spooky in my head when he said
"Take this ring it should tell you what your personal requirements are for crafting the ring you want. Once its equipped put the beast part into the chest and insert your mana by placing your palm on the front."
I wasn't really in a position to make demands but I was gonna try anyway "As long as I'm successful in making one legend ring the others I make I can keep?" I asked
"Yes, all I ask is that you succeed in making a legend ring with the knife."
I'll start with that then I thought as I picked up the knife and walked towards the chest.
I placed the knife inside and closed the lid and as soon as I placed my hand on the chest some words appeared in my head.
Cost to craft ability rings
Normal 100 mana
Rare 250
Mythic 500
Legendary 1000
Please note these numbers are only for starter rings
That was easy enough to remember.
I thought about putting a thousand mana into the box and as soon as the number on my arm flashed down 1k. I took my hand off and turned around.
Cannon man looked like he had lost his soul when I turned around. It was my revenge he chained me up so I made panic.

I knew from reading the book that the process of crafting was supposed to take hours. He must have thought I messed up and lost his knife.
"Young man, do you even know what you've done?" He asked me with astonishment written all over his face.
Ya, I succeed on my first try you old fart I thought in my head.
I walked over to the chest and brought out a ring with the image of a man doing a wild dance around a fire while holding a knife.
"You didn't specify what you wanted the ring to do so I just thought attacks are more effective against heartbeasts."
I said while I handed him the ring, he froze up again the second he saw the image of the little man on the ring dance.
Only after a minute was he able to mutter. " Today I have witnessed something none of the other outpost guardians will believe."
"Oh they'll believe it after I get all the cool rings I need here I'm going to go to there outpost and make legendary items," I said
"It's not possible you were only able to make a legendary ability ring because it is a basic tier meaning it has to be someone's first soul ring.
The knife you used to make it was found next to that chest even I can't predict how astonishingly useful this ring will be.
