《You're Mecha-ing Me Crazy!》Chapter 2: Making my way to the Beginner's Town

After being rejected by Camille I made my way down this path towards the [Beginner’s Town]. I was excited for the adventures that were in stored for me. There was so much content jam packed into this game that I couldn’t wait to go and explore it all.
As I kept continuing down this path I kept thinking about all the things I was going to do. Beat up monsters, do tons of quests, meet a ton of new friends and possibly get a guild going and make it the best guild in this game.
I clenched my fist in excitement.
“AHHHH! I can’t wait to get this going!” I shouted as I threw my two fists into the air.
I kept on continuing down this path taking in the scenery around me.
“Man they really went all out on these graphics. They’re incredible...”
I kept on continuing down this path.
“Man even the sky is gorgeous.”
I kept on continuing down this path.
“The air smells fresh and clean...”
I kept on continuing down this path.
“I can even hear the birds chirping in the distance.”
I kept on continuing down this path.
“Wow so many different types of flowers and trees...”
I kept on continuing down this path.
I kept on continuing down this path.
I kept on continuing down this path.
I kept on continuing down this path.
I kept on continuing down this path........
I kept on continuing down this path...........................
“WHERE IS THE TOWN????”
I frantically looked all around me. All I could see was just open space. The path in front of me kept extending as far as my eyes could see. There didn’t seem to be any signs of the town nearby.
“How long have I been walking?” I thought to myself as I crouched down and placed my hands on my face. “Usually don’t they have the town’s really close to the starting point?” I looked up again at the path. “Nonono this can’t be. I must be really close.”

I stood up again and stretched my limbs.
“Alright time to sprint.”
I sprinted down the path for as long and as fast as I could. The scenery around me didn’t seem to change. As I kept going on the scenery finally changed. Woods started appearing before me.
“Ahh past these woods must be where the town is.” I panted as I kept running.
I ran through the woods and finally saw a clearing. I sprinted as hard as I could and made it through the opening.
“I’m finally her-...”
The Great Plains
“...” I examined the signed that was in front of me. I walked closer to it, leaned towards the sign and read it carefully. “The Great Plains?” I stared off into the distance and saw an even wider and open field.
“This...doesn’t look like the [Beginner’s Town].” I walked slowly passed the sign and examined my surroundings. As I continued further down I noticed that there were a lot of animals running away. “I wonder what’s over there.” My curiosity took over my body and I ran further down the road.
I looked around.
“Mhm...there isn’t anything her-”
I was interrupted by a loud roar. I turned my head and saw a mammoth of a creature.
“Oh. My. God.” My legs jellied and I fell down to the ground on my butt. The creature approached me slowly, grunting as it walked towards me.
Cyborg Mammoth Lvl. 45
“Lvl 45?” I looked at the monster in bewilderment. “Why is such a strong monster so close to the starting AREA???” I picked myself up and started to run away from it. Like a chain reaction the mammoth chased after me. I zigzagged through some trees in hope to lose it in the woods, but the mammoth easily crushed through the trees.

“AHHH! This is so unfair, I don’t even have me mech yet!” I kept dodging the mammoth’s attacks. The trunk of the mammoth kept swinging at me. Each swing barely grazed me.
“Shit! If I get hit, I'll probably lose most of my health!” I ducked one of the swings. “I do not want to find out what happens if I die. I mean who dies right away after starting a game?” I kept running around in hopes to find some way to combat this beast. Before I realized it, I was cornered.
“Come on...is this for real...” I sighed. “Might as well just get it over with. No way I can dodge this next attack.” I closed my eyes as the mammoth charged at me. “I hope it doesn’t hurt...” I braced myself for the impact.
BOOM!
The impact of a blast sent me flying. After rolling on the ground from the impact I opened my eyes and checked myself.
Health at 50%
The blinking red bar next to my name indicated I was in critical danger, but my life was spared. My body wasn’t too badly injured and I could still feel my senses.
“What just happened...?” I looked around trying to find the mammoth. To my shock it was in combat with a mech.
“YAHOOO!!!!!” The mech flew around the mammoth with ease. The mammoth struggled to catch the mech with it’s trunk. I mean how could it? It can’t even fly. The mech then pulled out the giant bazooka that was on its back.
“SAY HELLO TO MY GIGANTIC FRIEND!” The mech positioned itself in front of the mammoth and blasted it with its bazooka.
“Oh not again...” I braced myself for the impact again.
The blast radius was gigantic and blew me away once more. After the dust of impact cleared out all that was left of the mammoth was its tusk.
“Ouch.” I gathered myself once again and looked at the aftermath. “Is that an item drop?”
The mech slowly descended from the skies towards the tusk. It landed and the player unmounted the mech.
“Another good haul. This will probably get a good amount in town.” The player seemed to have noticed me and looked my way.
“Oh hey! Were you fighting this monster? I hope you know since I killed it I get the loot. No hard feelings ‘kay?” The player got down to ground level and grabbed the loot.
“Yeah...sure...” after closer inspection of the player I noticed it was a girl. She had red hair that flowed down to her waist tied into a ponytail. She was clothed in some tight uniform looking spandex. I got up to my feet and brushed the debris off myself. As I looked up I noticed the girl walking towards me.
Man she looks like she’s going to be a handful...
