《Asher the Insane》Asher the Different

I yawned loudly.
Another beautiful day in the business of being an adventurer.
Been a while already.
I’ve done a few quests already.
Killing a giant acid-spitting toad, bit disgusting killing them, though it was my own fault.
I’ve learned a spell called [Inside Out] and it literally did what it was called.
Another one was saving a cat from a tree.
I didn’t bother climbing it but instead, I used another nice spell in my repertoire.
[Steps]
It’s like I can build a magic staircase anywhere I want.
It needs to touch the ground somehow but it has leveled up so much that I can basically walk up to the clouds.
The quest I found the strangest was walking a million steps in one day.
I got 25 silver pieces for the quest, I had an internal calculator telling me how far I went and roughly convert that was about 800 kilometers which was nothing for me.
I didn’t travel from country to country, just ran in the air with [Steps].
I had a couple of skills which when used combined increased my speed a lot.
I had [Ghost], which is a passive ability that gives me a ramping up movement speed until I stop moving, [Highlander], which increased my movement speed by 50% and made me immune to all kinds of slows and crippling effects, [Haste], which is a buff that doubles my current speed and in an easy difficulty dungeon I found enchanted boots which increase my speed by another 30%, that and bundled with my DEX attribute which should have been extremely high I ran a million steps in a day with some time to spare.
I had a boatload of spells and abilities now and a few of them could have been used to transport myself but using them wouldn't have counted as stepping.

When I stood up I felt weird, I didn’t feel like myself.
Walking over to the bathroom that the Inn had I was staying in, there was someone strange approaching from the other side of the mirror.
It didn’t take me long to figure out that that figure was me.
I looked different and not just slightly.
I was a taller, thinner man whose black hair turned purple at the tips.
I looked like a late 90’s edgy anime character.
While looking at myself there unlocked something in my memory.
I looked exactly like Sword from Armen Noir.

How did this happen? Who in this world could know about a decade-old VN that wasn't even released out of Japan?
Faye, are you still in my brain?
Come out if you are.
“What is it that you need?” I heard from behind me.
“Do you know what this is about?” I pointed at my face, “do you still recognize me?”
“Certainly do. Cyrus the mortal, my ward, standing right in front of me,” she said somewhat bored.
“Did you know how this happened? Why do I look like Sword?”
“It is a coincidence that you look like somebody you know. While you were sleeping I randomized your appearance. I thought you would like it. You've talked about changing appearances and have always loved to get randomized effects. Are you not satisfied?”
“It’s beautiful but that’s not the point. Can you reverse it?”
“Do you even know how complicated the customizer is in this word? It would be hard to get your previous appearance exactly right again. Almost impossible.”
“Fuck.
…
Do it again.”
