Risk and Dao approached the transformed Elisia. Curiosity was high because Elisia said that she knew nothing about combat abilities.
“Elisia, is that… your ability?” Dao asked.
“I didn't know you could turn out like that,” Risk said in disbelief.
“I don’t know either. Suddenly, this just happened. I feel that this pendulum gives me strength,” Elisia replied as she showed the pendulum to everyone.
Upgrade and Rhino came to the side yard after hearing an explosion next to their house. It also surprised them to see Elisia carrying a weapon they had never seen before.
“Elisia, where did you get that weapon from?” Upgrade asked.
“Well, looks like our little friend has gotten the power of a pendulum,” Risk said.
“Oh, that's good! Now I will have a new opponent,” Rhino said happily.
“Listen, I know nothing about what I'm going through right now. This pendulum gave me strength when I was training with Risk and Dao. This spear was just an ordinary stick with an iron tip. Now it has turned into a Dublin spear,” Elisia explained.
“Did you say Dublin?” Upgrade ensured.
“Do you know something about that?” Risk asked.
“As I've heard, Dublin is the name of the heirs of the kingdom of Gwelissa. They are special people who have extraordinary abilities.” Upgrade remember something. “That means, you are The Dublin!”
Everyone was wide-eyed. Elisia didn't understand what Upgrade was saying, but everyone was staring at her at the moment. It seems the word 'Dublin' here had a lot of reactions for those who hear it. Rhino walked towards Elisia with a flat expression. Suddenly, he knelt before Elisia.
Rhino moved again. “Oh my queen, we didn't expect you to live in our house. I apologize for my treatment of letting you carry the tool alone.”
Risk hit Rhino in the head. “What are you doing?!”
Rhino grabbed the part of the head that was hit by Risk and turned to him.
“Didn't you hear? Elisia is a queen.”
“The Dublin doesn't mean she's a queen. She could have been a king or a member of the royal family. She controls the full royal treasures, including her country.” The upgrade approached Elisia. “May I check your pendulum?”
“O-okay, but I don't know how to take it off.”
Upgrade looked at the fiery red pendulum closely. He could see the flow of an energy hidden behind the jewels. Upgrade touched the pendulum, but his hand felt hot as if fire had licked it.
“Upgrade, are you okay?” Elisia asked, surprised.
“I’m fine, but I can't touch the pendulum. My hand almost burned.” Upgrade took out a bandage from his jacket pocket.
“Is that hot?” Risk ensured.
“Looks like the pendulum has a shield that makes it impossible for anyone to hold," Upgrade continued.
“Well, no matter what your current state is, practice is still practice. Now you have a new weapon, so I don't have to tell Rhino to make it,” Risk said to Elisia.
“Alright, let's continue the training!” Elisia said excitedly.
“Dao, are you ready?” Risk asked.
“Always ready!” Dao retorted, who was still holding the stick.
Dao continued to practice using the stances again. This time, Dao would teach Elisia how to fend off attacks with a spear. Risk had wielded a sword. He dashed towards Dao with a stick in front of his chest. Attack arrived, and the Dao could withstand it. The man pushed the stick and pushed Risk quite a distance.

“Now it's your turn, Elisia!” Dao asked.
Elisia made a move that was showed by Dao. Risk prepared to run and launch an attack. Elisia could see Risk running towards her. She tightened her grip on the spear. Almost close, Risk jumped up and swung his sword. Elisia closed her eyes and let the attack hit her spear. The two weapons clashed, and Elisia held them back.
As it had taught her, Elisia had to push Risk. But without realizing it, Elisia tilted her spear so that Risk's sword shifted to the right of the spear. Elisia turned around and hit Risk in the face with the tip of the spear. Risk crashing into the straw ground.
Elisia, who saw him, immediately approached Risk, but the man raised his hand towards Elisia with open palms. Then he stood alone. Elisia felt guilty for hurting Risk, but the man's expression was casual, even smiling a little.
“Nice move, Elisia! An attack that even a focused person can't dodge,” Risk said.
“Th-thank you, but sorry to make you fall,” Elisia said glumly.
“This is practice. You don't have to apologize for that.” Risk raised his sword again. “Keep practicing!”
Risk continued to train Elisia with all the moves and abilities he taught the girl. Every move, every skill, and every surprise, Elisia paid close attention to. Despite experiencing some mistakes and her body hurting, Elisia didn't stop and continued to hone her skills. Dao, who witnessed it, couldn't help but amazed at the dueling practice the two companions had.
The day turned to night. The sun moved to west. Elisia and Risk stopped and caught their breath. The two of them looked at each other with calm expressions.
“Today's training is enough. You show great ability even though you're still a rookie.” Risk walked to the front porch of the house. “We'll continue tomorrow.”
“Okay, thanks for the practice today. I learned a lot from you. You're really great,” Elisia replied.
Risk stopped and chuckled. “I'm just a traveler. My only skill is visiting and fighting.” He continued on the way.
Dao was also getting ready to enter. “Elisia was great today! Dao felt Dao’s ability was far below Elisia's current. I would like to duel with you too.”
“Thanks also for the basic technique earlier, Dao. You're still better than me! Next time, we will duel!” Elisia said while raising her thumb.
A message suddenly appeared in front of Elisia and it made her smile.
“New Achievement Unlocked: First Day Training”
“Reward: Player exp + 100 and Skill exp +50”
.
They two walked to the front porch of the house to come in and had dinner. The door was opened; a fragrant aroma from the kitchen greeted them. Elisia couldn't stop inhaling the scent, so she made the way to the kitchen. Elisia looked at the empty dining table. Her little eyes glanced into the kitchen and found Rhino cooking something delicious. The girl's stomach rumbled.
“Sit down and take off your jacket! I have to heal your wounds,” Upgrade ordered while carrying a white box.
Elisia sat on the chair that Upgrade pulled and took off her jacket. Minor to moderate wounds adorned her body. Upgrade opened the box and took out the bandage. All of Elisia's wounds were closed and then Elisia asked to drink a strange potion from a bottle. The girl drank it, and it tasted bitter. In effect, Elisia's body felt better.
Risk came out of the room near Elisia and poured water into a glass to drink. Seeing the expressions on their faces made Elisia felt happy to gather with people like them. However, there were still many things she want to know, especially about her name and past. She clutched her pendulum and closed her eyes, praying that all the mysteries in her life would uncovered and she would know who she really was.

From the kitchen, Rhino lifted a fairly heavy pot. The pot was closed so that no one could see its contents or inhale its aroma. Arriving at the table, the lid of the pot opened, and the aroma filled the room. Everyone turned to the center of the table.
“What are you cooking this time?” Risk asked.
“Because Dao got a basket of wheats this afternoon, so I made oatmeal complete with milk,” Rhino replied.
“Isn't that the breakfast menu?” Risk argued.
“We have no other ingredients besides wheat and milk. You cooked all the vegetables this afternoon, didn't you?” Rhino argued.
“Stop! Just eat what's there! If possible, we will store again tomorrow.” Upgrade sat and took the bowl. “Who's going shopping tomorrow?”
“That's my job. What are we going to buy tomorrow?” Rhino asked.
“We'll talk later. Now, let's eat first!” Upgrade scooping hot oatmeal into bowls.
Everyone enjoyed Rhino's oatmeal. It tastes quite creamy and the oats in it are tasty. Although this wasn't on the dinner menu, some of them took it back from the pot. For Elisia, just a bowl was enough.
“Do you guys like to eat oatmeal at night?” Elisia asked to Upgrade.
“Not really. This is because only the wheat left and the other ingredients to make oatmeal. If you don't like it, we will make better food tomorrow,” Risk said with a slightly high tone.
“Eh, no! I'm very satisfied with the food tonight, thank you,” Elisia refused.
“That's right, I'm going shopping tomorrow. You can come,” Rhino said.
“I already have an appointment with Risk to train tomorrow. Maybe next time,” Elisia refused with a smile.
There was silence, and the sounds of the spoons in the bowls echoed. Elisia suddenly remembered [Hex Aegis] that she read this afternoon. She wanted to tell Risk in her problem with the book, but she was afraid of making Risk angry. Elisia was at a loss what to say. Finally, Elisia ventured to ask Risk.
“Risk, do you keep the [Hex Aegis]?”
“[Hex Aegis]? Oh, it's one of my collections. You must have found it under the guest table. I like to put it there,” Risk said.
“Eee…, about that book…, I think I'm causing trouble,” Elisia said nervously.
“What’s the problem?” Risk shifted the chair so that he could hear Elisia's voice.
“This afternoon… I read the book. The content was so interesting that I'm interested in reading it again. However, something strange happened. After I closed it and opened it again, the book wrote my name as the owner. I don't know what to do. I asked Dao, he said that it is not a problem.” Elisia explained well.
Risk glanced at Dao, who was sitting near the back door. Dao shrugged. Risk took a deep breath.
“That's why I have to put the book in the right place.” He got up and went into the living room.
Elisia saw him walking into the living room. Risk definitely wanted to take the book. Now she was afraid that Risk would scold her. He came back with the book and sat down. The man opened the cover and greeted by the title and owner of the book with the name 'Elisia Naumann' written on it. He just smiled and closed the book. Then he handed it over to Elisia.
Elisia accepted it in surprise. She didn't understand what was going on, but Risk seemed calm even though this girl accidentally took his book.
“What does it mean?”
“I think the book have found its rightful owner. I cannot do anything. Besides, I was going to sell the book to the village library,” Risk answered.
“Aren't... you angry?” Elisia still hesitated.
“Why am I mad at you? You did nothing wrong.” Risk got up and walked to the room. “There's no need to talk about that book anymore. I am tired!”
Elisia looked at the cover of the sacred book and hugged it. Suddenly, the pendulum lit up. Elisia saw it and felt an energy flowing within it. She put the book on the table. The pendulum was dim. She took the book and hugged it again. The pendulum lit. Could the pendulum absorb energy from the sacred book?
After dinner, Elisia helped Rhino clean up the bowls and took them to the kitchen to clean up. When Elisia wanted to clean the bowl, Rhino forbade her.
“For you, you should just wipe the dining table. Washing the bowls is my job.”
“Don't want me to help?” Elisia bargained.
“No need. The queen's hands must not be wet.”
Elisia blushed and left saying nothing else. Finally, Elisia wiped the dining table. After that, Elisia went to the living room to sat and rest. Today was quite tiring for her. She checked the stats to see what progress she was making.

Description
Now you remember a small part of your past, but you still have to look for it on your journey. In the end, all the truth will be revealed.
.
Hearing the word Dublin just had change the description in her stats. She actually didn't understand the term either, but the name Gwelissa she had heard in a dream. She tried to remember it, but it seemed as if the memory had disappeared. There was nothing she could see from the dream. Elisia also thought that she had to travel quite a distance to find answers from her past.
In an incessantly working mind, Elisia yawned. Her eyes watered and get heavy. Looked like it was about time she lied down on something comfortable. However, she realized that she was a new resident. She didn't have a bed yet. Dao solved all those thoughts upon her.
“Elisia, are you sleepy?” Dao asked.
Elisia yawned again. “Yeah, my eyes feel heavy.”
“Alright, Dao will take the carpet and thin mattress. Elisia can sleep in this living room,”
“Okay, thanks Dao!”
Dao went inside to take what he said and came back quickly. He had brought a carpet and a thin white mattress. Then, he took a pillow from the sofa chair.
“Apologies if Dao can only provide this. Risk and Rhino also sleep using this.”
“It's okay, thanks.” Elisia lied down. “Dao, aren't you sleepy yet?”
“Dao way of sleeping differs from others. Dao still has enough energy to work until midnight,” Dao explained. “Does Elisia need a blanket?”
“No need. The air is not too cold tonight.”
“Okay, good night!” Dao went to the kitchen.
Elisia also tried to close her eyes so she could sleep and wake up in time for the second practice. However, the drowsiness that had struck before disappeared suddenly after her head lied on the pillow. It seemed the excitement for tomorrow's training took over her head so that her sleepiness went away. She had to stay asleep.
With Elisia's movement on the mattress, the pendulum she was wearing moved along with Elisia's twisting body. She held the pendulum and hugged it. She could feel the warmth of the red rubies. An energy flowed within her again and created a warm atmosphere. The drowsiness returned. She couldn't let this opportunity pass. Her eyes closed, and she sank into a dream.
...
Elisia opened her eyes again and saw where she was. A room decorated in gold greeted her. She looked left and right. There was no one she could see. The atmosphere in the room was silent, almost like a dead hallway. All she could hear was the sound of the wind.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps rang out from the end of the hall. Elisia approached the voice, hoping to find someone who could explain what was going on. Her steps quickened as she almost arrived at the light source. There seemed to be a room there.
Elisia pierced through the light, blinding her eyes. After the light felt dim, she opened her eyes and greeted by a large room decorated in a noble style with a dominating gold color. Elisia was getting more and more confused.
Elisia approached a wooden shelf with a display frame on it. She looked at the contents of the frame. Apparently, it was her photo. Elisia thought, is this her house? She looked at various displays, most of which were table displays in the shape of a horse lifting its forelegs.
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out from behind. The girl looked back suddenly and saw the figure of a tall man with a rather long beard. His right hand hold a rifle and his left hand hold a human head. Elisia walked backwards until she hit a shelf and dropped a few displays.
“Oh, The Princess has returned! I have a present for you.” The man throw the head at what she thought to be a woman.
The head rolled over to Elisia and her face exposed. Elisia inspected, and that surprised her even more. Tears fell and her eyes widened.
The man pointed his rifle at Elisia. “I also have one more present for you!”
The trigger of the rifle pulled, and another shot occurred. Elisia was wide-eyed while holding her stomach, which was spitting out something. She looked at her palm; covered it with blood. Her mouth also bled. Her vision blurred and her body weakened. As time went on, her body grew weaker and eventually fell to the carpet floor.
With the remaining life still attached to the body, Elisia glanced at the head that had chopped off earlier. She took the head and hugged it. Her vision went blank and blood continued to come out of her stomach and mouth. Her tongue moaned, but she wanted to say something.
“Mom....”

8 248Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey. The cover image was drawn by minyaxj, per my request, on a commercial license.

or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).

8 82Advent of the Mindfire Mage: A Challenger's Return Story
Updates MWF, 6PM EST! Not so long ago, a story was posted on Webnovel, one that fired my imagination unlike almost anything before or since. It was known as The Challenger's Return: Rebirth of the Rainbow Mage. However, 150 chapters in, the author NightWind, who I'd personally interacted with and begun to consider a true friend, vanished from the internet without a trace. And so, I have acted upon my fervent desire to pick up his torch, to refuse to let his world that stirred such passion in me die. Read below about my own take on The Challenger's Return. Was Lheticus summoned to the Tower by chance, or by choice? Either way, with the new power he wins, he won't hesitate to burn anyone who seeks to keep him from his true love to cinders, and with a unique ability of the highest potential, he may just succeed, but he's just as likely to burn himself down. And as it turns out, the latter case may be woven into his very destiny...can that destiny be changed? And if it is, what will be the repercussions for the Tower? (You may want to read a fair amount of the original Challenger's Return before starting this, as, particularly in the early chapters, many things that are laid out in it are glossed over in this story.)
