《Uzziye became a florist》Chapter 25 - Stubborn

This makes me wonder, though. If I remember that, then what kind of nightmare did I see? Just how terrible is the process to give birth to monsters? Isn’t that super frightening?
Well, it’s true that it could be the same, but my perception of monsters changes it. I doubt it. Monsters aren’t humans; they have nothing similar to us, like emotions. What they consider scary could be something beyond human imagination, something that’d drive us crazy. It’d be something not so gruesome; after all, monsters don’t understand emotions, so they don’t know how much torture playing with them is.
In the orphanage, they played with our emotions. Many times they hunted us with the promise that the survivors would be free.
I hope what I saw the monsters do is something incomprehensible that terrified me instead of something gruesome.
The guards chained me after I finished eating. I don’t think it’s a good idea to eat before exploring my memories; I’ll tell them about it. This time the guards are more touchy than usual, but they still have stern faces.
I wait for Miry and the Overseer while looking around.
If things go well, what’ll the future be like? The only reason I want to live is to have a baby, so what if I can’t? Kidnapping? No way! Though I could adopt someone. This makes me think. Do I want a boy or a girl?
The face of Rose pops into my mind and is replaced by a pool of blood.
I hear the door opening and see Miry and the Overseer come in along with someone I don’t know.
“Hi, Uzziye.”
“Hi.”
Only Miry greets me. I’m confused and want them to tell me what’s going on, but I know the Overseer will tell me to shut up.

“This time, we won’t awaken your memories. That person will help us gather information.”
“Okay.”
“Please close your eyes.”
I do as Miry tells me. I feel her touch and the strange sensation invades my body, though I don’t feel uncomfortable.
It’s taking a while. I wonder what’s happening.
I open my eyes and see the unknown person holding Miry’s hand, with both having their eyes closed. The Overseer points his finger towards me and furrows his eyebrows, so I close my eyes.
I want to pee. My body hurts all over! It feels like I’ve been here for an eternity! And each time I opened my eyes or talked, the Overseer poked my forehead; that bastard.
“Uzziye, it’s over.”
“Eh?”
I open my eyes and realize I fell asleep. My urge to pee kicks in.
“I can’t hold it anymore; please let me pee.”
The Overseer nods to the unknown person. Miry leaves with that person, leaving me with the Overseer watching me hold it in. I’m reaching my limit.
“At least pull down my clothes, please, I can’t.”
“I won’t do that. It’s against the protocol. Someone will wash them.”
Agh! I really can’t! Dammit!
Yes, I peed myself. Why did it have to happen in front of him of all people?!
I don’t want to see what kind of face the Overseer is doing, but I’m too curious about his opinion of me. Does he hate me? Or does he find me disgusting?
I see him waiting while staring at the door with the same stern face as ever. I don’t get it. It’s almost as if this is natural to him.
“Hey, doesn’t this disgust you?”
“Why would it? It’s a normal function of the body, and we held you here for too long.”

“Then why didn’t you let me go pee?!”
“What we were doing was too important. We couldn’t afford interruptions.”
“And what if instead of pee, it was poo? It’d stink!”
“We would endure it.”
What? What did they do? Does that mean that it’s over?
“So, what did you do?”
Now the Overseer shows an annoyed face. Interesting.
“I promised to be honest, didn’t I?”
“Yeah?”
“He came to gather the information about the times you were raped and send it to the higher-ups.”
So it’s a man. Wait.
“Don’t tell me… Please don’t kill them! I beg you, imprison them for life or cut their legs, but don’t kill them!”
“How self-centered. We won’t change the law to make you feel better.”
“But you said that they kill their victims to save their lives! If we remove the death sentence, more people will survive!”
“Are you willing to give half your money for the rest of your life to pay for their food and other necessities?”
“Yes!”
“It doesn’t matter; most people won’t. Why should we work to keep that scum alive?”
“I’ll work hard for all of them. At least the ones who attacked me, let them live!”
“Most likely, you aren’t the only victim. I won’t prevent their families from getting justice because of your selfishness.”
“You can do anything you want to me for the rest of my life if you let them live. Please, I beg you, I don’t want to be responsible for their deaths!”
“You’re such a stupid woman. What if I tell you to kill a person each day they live?”
Ugh. There should be a way!
The Overseer comes closer and stares into my eyes.
“Who do you think you are? Our laws take years and the agreement of thousands of people to be. And you want to change it just so you won’t cry at night? If you want to change the law, you must have the support of most of the kingdom and a reason based on logic.”
“I’ll do it! Give me time!”
He slaps me. It wasn’t a slap filled with anger; it was a soft one to make me stop. But I don’t want to stop.
“Just listen to me, I have-”
“YOU HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER!”
“I-”
“You’re a prisoner! You’re in no position to offer me anything. There’s only one thing I want from you, and I’ll have it whether or not you want to cooperate! Accept the consequences of your decisions, take responsibility.”
Each time I tried to talk, he would slap me or punch me. It’s so frustrating to deal with him. Once the guards came with a bucket and towels, he left.
To my surprise, something that was normal to me became the strangest thing to happen ‘cause of the timing. Maybe you guessed it. The guards raped me. Once one of them started it, the others joined too.
I can’t believe it. Why would they do it? Why don't they stop each other if they know too well what’ll happen? What’s so good about penetrating a pussy that they risk their lives? Just what’s wrong with this world?!

The Dawn of Blood
As the saying goes, "Ignorance is bliss." That is a good way to describe us. We are constantly seeking to improve, to evolve. Coming up with laws and theories to better understand the world around us. But what if it was all for naught. What if what we think is truth is nothing more than the actions of higher beings, far beyond our reach. Upon the discovery of an entire new reality, remaining ignorant is certain death. The only way to live is to grow, to evolve, to adapt. This is my first novel so any feedback and criticism is greatly appreciated. I hope that I'm able to grow as a writer through this and hope that people enjoy my work. Credit for the cover image goes to Richard Luong. Check him out at https://tentaclesandteeth.deviantart.com.
