I wake up to the bright sound of birds chirping happily outside my window. I open my window but suddenly jump when I look over at my bed and see a guy sleeping next to me. I quickly jump out of bed and run to the other side of the room.

I grab a bat from my closet and point it towards the strange...man? With cat ears? "Wh-who are you?" He just tilts his head to the side and licks the back of his hand.

He stretches out over my bed and yawns like this is his bed. "I have a bat and I'm not afraid to use it-!"

"Nya~" He yawns sleepily and I walk a little closer to him, waiting for him to make his move. He turns over on his back and looks at me expectantly.

"What? Do you want a belly rub or something?" I laugh at the idea but he nods. He stretches out his arms which lifts up his shirt slightly and he swats his hand in the air like he wants me to come closer.

"You won't hurt me will you?" He shakes his head and I lower my bat slightly, "Promise?" He only closes his eyes but peaks out of one of them. I sigh, "Fine. But after this, you need to leave. I don't know who you are."

I place the bat next to my closet and walk over to him and start rubbing his belly. He makes a sound like a purr- closer to moan. He's kinda cute.

After a few moments, I stop and he pouts, "No more, I have things to do today."

"I'm Aether."

"Oh, so you can talk then. You just choose not to talk much." He nods and rolls over, sitting next to me. He nuzzles his head against my neck and I blush, quickly standing up. "Hey! Watch it! I still don't know who you are or how you got in here."

He tilts his head in confusion like he doesn't understand what I'm talking about. "You must've hit your head. I've always been here (y/n)." He says in a low voice.

'What? No, I would definitely recognize him and know him if he was always there but I've never seen this man in my life.'

I sigh, "I'm going to take a shower. Help yourself to the fridge if you're hungry." He nods and I walk into my bathroom for a shower.

A couple of minutes later I walk into my room with a towel around me when he walks in a lays on my bed watching me intently. "Eeek! What are you doing! Get out! I'm trying to get dressed!" He just tilts his head in confusion and stays in place.

I rush over to him and pull him by the arm and push him out the door with my free hand, "I said get out!" He looks confused as I shut the door in his face.

When I finish getting dressed I emerge out of my room and there he is, sprawled out on my couch. I sigh, 'I can't believe he walked in on me with only a towel on and just sat there like it was normal.'

"Did you eat anything yet?"

He nods, "Yes."

He points to the counter where one empty plate is situated and one untouched plate is sitting, "This...is for me?" He nods happily and smiles. He stands up as I take a seat at the counter and he watches as I put the first bite in my mouth.

He waits for my reaction and my eyes widen when I taste it, "You cooked this?? This is amazing!" I scarf down the rest of my food and he happily watches as I clear my plate.

When I'm finished I head out the front door and he follows, "Are you finally leaving now?" He looks at me confused as I start walking towards the marketplace. But he doesn't stop following me, he continues following me, looking at our surroundings in awe.

This must be his first time here. He looks at all the food stalls in amazement and I smile at his amusement. "You wanna try that?" He nods and looks at me with pleading eyes.

I cave in and buy him a snack from the vendor, "One please." The lady at the stall is in awe of Aether's ears and gives us one for free.

I buy a couple of groceries here and there and he asks for many things as we make our way down the street of vendors.

He grabs the bags out of my hands and holds them for me, holding my hand with the other. I smile at him and he drags me away from the marketplace.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see." He continues dragging me through different streets when we get to a fountain. He sets down the bags on a bench when he finds a group of cats to play with.

He introduces them to me and we play with them for a while. I smile and laugh at him. And after a while he drags me away from them and smiles, placing a quarter in my hand, "What's this for?"

"A wish."

I make a silent wish for Aether's happiness in whatever he does and I look at him expectantly.

"Aren't you going to wish for anything Aether?"

He shakes his head, "I already have everything that I want."

He holds my hand and smiles, placing a kiss on my forehead.
