《Please Love Me (Shy! Yandere! Male x Reader)》Chapter 13 - Acceptance

"Oh, Leon... I love you so much," You gently caressed his cheeks, making him bloom a bright shade of red. Leon was all too familiar with this situation. In this world, he could do whatever he wanted.

It was his paradise, a place with just you and him. Sometimes, he'd find you and him on the beach with the bright sun shining at the two of you. Sometimes, he'd find you and him on a cliff, staring at the romantic sunset. But his favourite place was a grassy hill where the sun was shining the perfect amount, the wind was blowing gently, and you'd be wearing a casual white dress.

"Then k-kiss me... Kiss me until my lips turn swollen, hug me until our time ends." Leon threw himself onto you, gripping your arms desperately. You simply let out an angelic laugh, stroking his hair in return. He shuddered in pleasure, taking in every bit of your touch gratefully.

"What do you mean, Leon? We have all the time in the world."

"N-no. No we don't. This is the only place you'd touch me so freely." You wrapped your arms around his body, humming one of his favourite songs.

"And why's that? We're lovers, aren't we?"

"Not in real life..." Leon muttered ashamedly, looking down. You gently lifted his chin making him look up at you. E/c eyes stared back into his brown orbs, making him feel another wave of peacefulness.

"Then make it happen." Your answer was so simple yet so complicated to Leon. The said boy looked closely at your face, trying to find a clearer answer on your face. Your beautiful face. He traced his hand on your face, trying to feel you. Although you felt solid, the feeling of your skin didn't seem realistic. It felt smooth, but not warm. It felt round, but not soft. Maybe his brain needed to process the feeling of skin more.

"But how...? What if you don't even like me in reality?" You smiled knowingly and looked up at the sky. The wind was picking up now. It was time.

"The answer is in a book."

"A... book?"

"My feelings will be there." The wind blew harder, indicating it was time to go.

"W-wait! Don't leave me-"

"Y/N!" Leon opened his eyes abruptly. A book...? What does that mean? It could be any book from the library, the public library, from your home, from his home, and it's just too vague! But it's just a dream, though, so it's probably fake. He sat himself up from his bed, and glanced at his blanket blankly. A few minutes later, he pouted in disappointment. You didn't even kiss him in the dream. Suddenly, he had an urge to see you.

'I'm only checking if Y/N is safe,' Leon tried convincing himself. 'Not because I want to see her.'

Leon checked the time. It was 1 AM so everyone should be asleep by now. His dad seemed more tired today, thus sleeping in earlier than usual. Leon sighed. He wanted to get a part time job to help his parents but they insisted that focusing on his studies was enough for them.

It was 2:30 AM when Leon got back. Happily, he pulled out all the 'souvenirs' from his small bag. Today, he got a pen, one of your discarded sheets of paper that got thrown in the trash, those cheap plastic rings you got when you were a child, and a plastic fork from your take-out meal. That was his favourite one.

'Y/N's lips touched this fork...' Leon twirled the fork around, admiring it. Although it is just a disposable fork that can be obtained from any restaurant, he stared at it like it was a gift from the goddess. Which in a way it was. A gift- not really given, maybe stolen- by a certain goddess called Y/N.

"If I eat with this fork... I'll be kissing Y/N indirectly!" Leon smiled a bit, trying to hold in his excitement through his flawed logic. But since it was pretty late at night, he saw no reason to eat.

'I guess I can only put it beside my bed then...' Leon went back to his cozy bed, lifting his blanket and pulling it over. He had to see you tomorrow at school anyways.

The next morning, Leon still woke up fine, already used to his lack of sleep. You on the other hand, did not stalk anyone at night, yet you still couldn't open your damn eyelids. If only waking up early was easy...

The sound of your alarm blared for the fourth time as you roughly pushed your fingers against the stop button. Next time, you should be more aware of accidentally pressing snooze. You rolled out of bed and walked towards your bathroom in a slouched manner, not ready to go on with your day just yet. But once you freshened yourself up in the bathroom, you went out of your bathroom, ready to dominate your day.

Sort of.

Lizzy picked up you and Leon as usual and drove to school. Today, Leon was talking about forks under his breath for some random reason. You shrugged it off; you had your own days as well.

In the library, Lizzy immediately sat down and took out her phone. You quickly scanned your eyes through the titles of books on the shelves. What were you going to read this time? Out of the corner of your eye, a book stuck out to you, going by the name of 'Loved By You'. You pulled it out of the shelve and felt the book. For some reason, you liked touching, feeling and weighing the book before you opened it at all. The weight felt decent, the book looks old in a way but untouched, and the title was protruding out of the book ever so slightly in red cursive letters. You turned it around to read the blurb.

Just from the blurb, you could see that this was inspired by a real story, based on the author's friend to 'spread her story'.

"*A lovesick man and his wife," you read aloud and then reading the rest of the blurb silently. You decided not to read it out loud because the author can't write blurbs for shit you didn't want to disturb the library.

"What could possibly go wrong in this book?" In fact, you found it sweet that the man loves the wife a lot. This was probably one of those cliche romance books where the couple fights, solves the problem and gets over with it. Maybe the husband just gets a little too jealous? Either way, you still liked cliche books so you decided you borrow it since you had nothing else to read.

Leon on the other hand was skimming every book on every bookshelf, trying to find the 'book' you were talking about. The library was a bit big and spacious, meaning there were lots of books to be went through. What if the book isn't even meant to be in this library?

He sighed. Maybe he should just ignore what 'you' said. It's probably a dream after all. Classes are going to begin in 15 minutes anyways so he should give up for now. Maybe he'll review the learning material before the lesson since he hasn't been spending as much time studying as of late. Going back into the trio's secluded corner, Lizzy was still on her phone, scrolling through her social media.

Sitting down, Leon took out his notebook for next lesson and started reviewing the previous notes he had taken last lesson. As well as reviewing last lesson's notes, Leon's parents encouraged Leon to make use of the library by borrowing books and retaining learning information that he couldn't access at home. By combining his notebook and textbook's information together, he acquired a deeper understanding of the subject. That was how he studied.

"Hey Leooo~ I forgot to take notes for my history class, mind if I borrow yours?" Lizzy leaned over the desk, exposing her cleavage to him. He wasn't even a minute into studying. Leon, ignoring Lizzy, continued to re-read his notes like he didn't hear her. He didn't want to meddle with people who ask for other people for notes especially if they 'forgot'.

"Leo~ Talk to me..." Lizzy softly whined, tugging on Leon's sweater.

"What do you want?" Leon glared at Lizzy. First, he was studying. Second, he's already been forced to give Lizzy his notes multiple times. He's tired of being pushed over by her.

"Can I please please please borrow your notes? I have a test today." The said girl pouted, touching his hand. Leon moved his hand away. He shrugged in a careless manner, pretending that he wasn't scared of the consequences of rejecting Lizzy.

"Sorry, but I didn't bring my history notes today." He lied. They were actually in his bag but Lizzy didn't have to know since she wasn't in his history class. Lizzy frowned. Guess she'll have to settle for your stupid notes.

That was when Lizzy suddenly realized that you didn't have history today but-

"Wait a minute, but that's impossible. I thought you had history class today." Leon just shrugged again, his heart pounding a bit.

'There was nothing she could have on me. I think.'

"It is what it is I guess." He responded.

"I know you're lying. I can see through you. I just want your notes pretty please?"

"No thanks, I'll just keep them for safe keeping..." Leon looked away. Lizzy's nice facade disappeared for a second as her face turned sour.

"You're going to regret treating me like this." Was all she said before she stormed off, probably going to find other friends that have history notes. Leon blew out a breath. This was fine, Lizzy was probably faking her threats; there was nothing she could do to him, right?

Just after Lizzy left, you came back from borrowing your book. Noticing Lizzy's absence, you asked Leon where she was.

"Dunno." Was all he said. He really didn't seem to care. You joined him in studying, reviewing your notes like he did. It was a habit you picked up after you started hanging out with him.

Leon checked the time again. 4 more minutes before class starts. He tapped your shoulder, whispering "Class is starting. Let's go."

The two of you went your separate ways. Meanwhile, Lizzy was discussing important matters with some people. She opened her phone and showed them the picture of the three of you at the mall on Sunday.

"Do what you want with them." She smiled innocently at them. "And make sure I'm not involved in this. They're worthless nobodies." The people smirked in anticipation. This was going to be fun. They never liked you two anyways. You guys were always the 'perfect' students and even dared to get them in trouble once. One girl scoffed at the memory.

"I'll make sure that conniving bitch will never have the audacity to snitch on us again."

Lizzy smiled with malicious glee back at the girl, "Good."

Her plan B is finally coming to place. If she couldn't make you weak against her because of Leon, then she'd make both of you weak.

During break, you and Lizzy were waiting outside the classroom to your next class. Again, Leon didn't have many classes with you because he wasn't in your main class but there were some exceptions.

"Y/N..."

"Hmm?" You were immersed in a story you were reading on your phone.

"I've decided that I'm going to confess to Leon." You nearly dropped your phone.

"Huh? Really?"

"Yeah. He's just really handsome and talented. He's kind too. Who wouldn't want him? I'm not sure if you've noticed but I've liked him for a while." Lizzy nibbled her lip nervously.

"O-oh, yeah. He is pretty nice..." You cursed at your stuttering, which might've given your feelings away. Thankfully Lizzy didn't seem to notice.

"Anyways, I don't think I have the heart to do it alone; can you stay with me? You know in case he rejects me?"

"I don't know... It seems a bit too personal..." And a bit too heartbreaking to watch. It was also weird for Lizzy to act out like that because she's never asked you to be with her while confessing. Though, it was normally your crushes confessing to her not the other way around.

"Please, Y/N? I don't think I can do it alone." Lizzy grabbed your hand eagerly. The jealous part of you wanted Leon to reject her; you wanted Leon to say yes to you. But you couldn't avoid the inevitable. Gods are always against your love life, for some reason. Was your tragic love life a story to people? If it was, it wouldn't be very interesting so it would be funny if it was.

"I guess I can go..." You felt heart beat in envy and caution. Damn, why were you so weak-minded?

"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I'm planning on confessing on Friday. Can you help me? I want to make this a romantic confession."

"Okay." You said quietly. "I have a sudden urge to piss. If you'd excuse me."

You quickly walked into the school's toilet and stared into the mirror. A girl with e/c eyes and h/c hair stared back at you. Her cheeks were flushed in embarrassment and her eyes were filled with a bit of sadness. It was an all too familiar feeling. How many times have you been in this situation already? You splashed some cold water on your face as an effort to get rid of the flush.

'Acceptance is the key. Acceptance is the key. Acceptance is the key. Acceptanceisthek-'

"Hey, are you okay?" A beautifully tanned girl walked into the bathroom. She wasn't the thinnest of the bunch but instead had lots of curves. Her curly black hair was in a simple shoulder length bob that was flawlessly messy. Thank the heavens you weren't crying. That would be really embarrassing. The reason you didn't cry was probably because it wasn't official yet.

'If it is not official, it is not real.' You reasoned to yourself.

You faked a laugh. "Of course I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?"

The girl face-palmed. What was her name again? Tracey? Casey?

'Wait, it was Grace,' you thought. She was from your... PE class?

"Girl, it's obvious you're not fine. You wanna talk about it? We've still got a bit of time." She leaned towards the mirror and checked her face and makeup.

"Uhm..." You were still reluctant. Taking out a bottle of lip balm, she put some on before pressing her lips together as an effort to spread the lip balm.

"I promise I won't tell anyone. It'll probably help you feel better," She stopped for a moment, "Or not. Depends on you."

You looked around making sure no one was around, even making sure every toilet stall is empty. After making sure, you spoke in a hushed tone. "Well, I guess it's pretty awkward because my best friend is going to confess to my crush."

"For you?" She asked. You started to wave your hands around, in hopes your hands would give her the correct kind of message.

"N-No! Of course not, it's for herself."

"The way you speak makes it seem like that's not the only problem. Is there another reason for being upset as well?"

Holy crap this woman was good at looking at your facial expressions. "Well, it's just every time I like someone, that person always falls for my best friend no matter the circumstance. This guy is probably no different."

"Oh. Well that sucks ass, girl. Who's your best friend?"

"Oh! Her name is Lizzy. Have you heard of her?"

"Lizzy? You mean Lizzy the girl with like hundreds of thousands of followers? The hoe?" You nodded, a bit reluctantly at the last one.

"Well, hate to break it to ya, but Lizzy is kinda a bitch. Probably using you for something or someone." Grace continued.

You shook your head. "She wouldn't! I've known her for a long time. She's a good friend."

"Well, looks can be deceiving so..." She stretched her arms, "What are you going to do about it?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I said... What are you going to do about your best friend stealing your crush away?"

"What am I supposed to do?"

"Well, are you going to just sit there and watch while your man gets taken?"

"Uhh, y-yes?"

Grace made an 'X' sign with her arms. "Wrong answer."

You laughed genuinely. "If only I had your courage, Grace."

"Huh? How do you know my name?"

"I'm in your PE class, remember?"

"Oh, sorry. I suck at PE so I don't find a reason to remember everyone's faces or names unless they stand out - not in a good way." She made a face.

"Her name's actually Lizzy," You corrected, smiling with her. Grace rolled her eyes jokingly.

"Class is starting, dude." What's with these nicknames? "If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here. Let's exchange numbers." You and Grace took out your respective phones and entered your numbers.

"Had fun talking to you. Let's do this again, bye bye!" She waved before running off to her own class. You did the same, only to be pushed to ground by a certain girl that goes by the name of Monika Hayer.

"Watch where you're going, bitch." She sneered, her two lackeys behind her. The three of the bullies walked away from you as if nothing happened, making your clench your fist in anger.

Lizzy watched it happen, hiding behind the corner of a hallway with a sinister smile.

This was only the beginning.

omg such a boring chapter please bear with me

I JUST REALIZED THAT I FORGOT TO EDIT VINCE'S PERSONALITY FOR CHAPTER 5. Also have I ever mentioned Lizzy's last name? So many flaws *cry cry*

So I know that my writing is pretty unprofessional. I want to improve it so that might mean changing my writing style completely? My weaknesses: writing is too direct and brief, character needs a bit of personality fixing, etc. So I need to focus more on settings/backgrounds, visuals as well as widening my vocabulary in order to make this eventually become well written.

If you guys know who Grace is and what book 'Y/N' is talking about, you have extremely good memory.
