《Romeo》Chapter 50

"Don't tell me we are getting married today?" I asked him, dumbfounded as I pulled his arm, stopping him.
"Fine." He gave me a mischievous grin.
"No kidding?" I asked, bemused.
He smiled, amused as he held my both hands, "I hope you will not run away."
I chuckled. "Of course not, my lover boy." I said seductively and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I am relieved now." He heaved a deep sigh and winked at me.
"So if I run away, you will let me?" I asked, giving him an intrigued look.
"Do you think you can live without me?" He asked arrogantly.
"You are so humble." I rolled my eyes and shook my head in amusement.
"It is just a fact. We are made for each other. You can't live without me as I can't live without you. Don't you remember how difficult it was for us to be apart? So even if you try, you can't run away from me. We are meant to be together." He stated firmly, his arms around my waist. "You are trapped with your Romeo, Juliet." He added cockily and winked at me. I chuckled, amused and kissed his lips.
"Now, are you ready to walk into this church as Ms. Anderson and leave it as Mrs. Wright?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
"With pleasure, my love." I replied, giving him a wide grin.
He held my hand and led us inside. I felt so nervous as well as excited. I was going to marry the love of my life.
When we walked into the church, our siblings and friends started applauding joyfully. Charlotte rushed towards me in excitement, holding a bouquet of white roses, and gave it to me after hugging me happily.
"No Elvis?" I asked Romeo, amused, raising my eyebrow as I saw the officiant.
"I may be a little crazy, but don't forget I am a serious businessman. So we will be better without Elvis." He winked at me playfully. I chuckled. "Moreover, I got your brother onside. He is my best man, and he agreed to walk you down the aisle. Of course, if you want to."
"Yes, I would be so happy." I gave him a grateful smile.
"So let's get married." He suggested as my brother approached us. Romeo tapped on his shoulder and walked towards the officiant.

"Are you sure?" Troy asked firmly, cupping my cheek.
"Yes, I love him so much." I assured him, giving him a warm smile. "Just Dad... he will freak out." I nibbled my lower lip nervously.
"Don't worry. Your bastard future husband thought about everything. Why do you think he included me as well as Charlotte into his plan? Look at me, I am going to walk you down the aisle, and I am his best man. So I have to save his ass when Dad tries to kill him." He stated, amused.
"You aren't his best man because of it. You are his best friend. Even if the circumstances were different, you would still be his best man. And I am glad you are going to walk me down the aisle when Dad can't do it. I love you so much" I gave him a bring smile. "Even if you are younger than me, I know I can rely on you, and you will be beside me when I need you. Like now. I am grateful that I have amazing siblings." I stated honestly while tears shimmered in my eyes. I suddenly felt so emotional.
"Come here, princess." He said, giving me an affectionate look, opening his arms wide. I smiled and hugged him tightly while tears ran down my cheeks. "Be happy, sis." He whispered in my ear and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. He wiped the tears off his cheek with the back of his hand quickly and gave me a brilliant smile. "Let's not keep your soon-to-be husband waiting. Otherwise, he won't stop complaining about it." He added, amused.
"Yes." I gave him a bright grin, nodding, and wiped the tears of my cheeks.
"What the hell is going on here?!" My father snarled angrily as he stood up abruptly, clenching his fist. "How could you get married without telling us?" He barked, frustrated. "I didn't expect it from you Sienna. You always were a thoughtful girl. It seems your husband is a bad influence on you. I knew it, but you didn't listen to me and chose this idiot as your husband." He added fumingly and gave Romeo a death glare.
"Dad! Please..."
"I don't think any wedding date in the next twenty years would suit you." Romeo intervened, holding my hand tightly. My father shot daggers at him. "So we didn't have another choice. Moreover, let's see we are even now because you had separated us for six years." My husband added firmly.

"You bastard!" My father exclaimed fumingly and tried to approach Romeo, but Troy grabbed his arm stopping him.
"It was for both of your sakes." Asher intervened as he took a few steps towards us.
"Maybe yes, maybe not. But you didn't consider how difficult it was for us." Romeo said as sadness crossed his features. He heaved a deep sigh and continued. "I don't want to talk about it anymore." My lover boy looked at me affectionately and turned his gaze towards our parents. "Now my wife and I just want our families to accept our marriage, be happy for us and share our happiness." Romeo added hopefully. Then Romeo turned his gaze to my father. "Sir, I know you don't like me. And you would be happy if Sienna married someone else, but we love each other. We will not give up on our love."
His father sighed and approached us. "We are sorry for keeping you away from each other. But it was for your sakes. It was the right decision to make at that time." He breathed deeply and continued. "As I had said before you went to London, I would support you if you wanted to be with Sienna after both of your graduations. So congratulations! Be always happy." Asher stated firmly and gave us a warm smile. Then he hugged Romeo, tapping on his back, smiling happily. After that, he approached me and held my hand in his hands. "Welcome to the family, my dear daughter-in-law." He said warmly and hugged me.
"Thank you." I gave him a grateful smile as he pulled back.
My father rolled his eyes and shook his head. My mother elbowed him, giving him a warning look. He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and mumbled something under his breath.
I looked at my father sadly while waiting for him to say anything, hoping he would accept us after Asher's warm behavior towards us, but he averted his gaze.
As Asher noticed my father hadn't still softened up, he approached my father and rested his hand on his shoulder. "Come on, Aspen. We are family now. Will you not congratulate your daughter and son-in-law?" He said, emphasizing the word son-in-law, and gave my father a teasing look. My father gave him a dirty look while everybody smiled, amused.
"Aspen." My mother nodded. He heaved a loud sigh and took a few steps towards us.
"Congratulations!" My father mumbled dryly and hugged me.
"Dad, I am sorry." I whispered in his ear while hugging him back. "Please, forgive us. I love Romeo so much. And I hope when we get older we still love each other like you and Mom." I added hopefully. He sighed and tightened his arms around me. Then he pulled back slightly and cupped my cheeks. "I just want your happiness. I can burn the world for you, my little girl. Whatever happens I will always be by your side. You can always trust me." He said emotionally as his eyes welled up.
"I know, Dad." I gave him a bright smile as tears ran down my cheeks. I felt so happy that he forgave us and accepted our marriage.
He smiled warmly, wiping the tears off my cheeks gently. "You will always be my little girl. It feels like it was yesterday when I held you in my arms. You were so little, fragile. I promised that day I would do everything to protect you. And I will always keep my promise." He placed a tender kiss on my forehead and added. "Be happy, my little princess."
"Thank you, Dad. I love you so much." I hugged him tightly.
After pulling back, my father approached Romeo. "If you hurt my daughter, no one could save you from my wrath. I will keep an eye on you." He stated in an authoritative tone with an intimidating expression on his face.
"I promise I will always make Sienna happy." Romeo said confidently, giving my father a reassuring look. Dad nodded and gave him a side hug. "Congratulations!"
"Thank you, sir." Romeo smiled happily.
Then our mothers congratulated us happily and asked about the details. After them, Liam and Charlotte wished us happiness.
