《She's dead》Chapter 14

Third person POV -
It's been 2 weeks since the dinner with the Knights, since then a lot of things have happened. Phoenix and sapphire have been regularly hanging out and going on dates when they could. On their last date, Nix took Saph on one of his private yachts where they had a picnic under the stars. At the end of the date, Phoenix even asked Sapphire to be his girlfriend. She's been hanging out with Dakota and occasionally talking to Niko as well.
Throughout the 2 week, sapphire has also been picking up a few jobs as hellfire and even went to a few fights and races, sometimes with Phoenix. Everyone has apologised to sapphire for the whole fiasco at dinner, learning to except Phoenix and Sapphire being together, except for Blaze himself. As much as he wants to, and as much as he wants to bond with her again, he's still scared. Scared she'll leave again. Scared of what happened while she was gone. Scared she hates him for letting them send her away or for how he has been acting since she got back home. Sapphire knew he was scared but it had been a few months since she had been home and she was really wondering whether or not he actually wanted her there or not.
The family have been having more bonding days with Sapphire, separately and as a family. Even though she loves them, even though she's forgiven them for sending her away, even though she's starting to trust them, she's still hesitant on telling them about the abuse. By sending her away, they not only created scars on her body but in her mind, she's scared they will feel disgusted when they find out, that they'll send her away again and she wouldn't be able to handle that. However the choice was taken from her one morning, and no one was prepared for it.

Flashback/nightmare- warning
I wake up, not in my room at the Romano house, but at my old house with my last foster home. My eyes dart around the room as I try to get up, only to find myself tied to the bed in only my undergarments. No. Please no.
I watch with tears in my eyes as my bedroom door slams open and my foster father strolls in with an angry look before his eyes land on me and my predicament and they change to lust. I close my eyes, letting a tear drop as I hear the sound of his belt unbuckling.
"Open your eyes whore. I want you to look me in the eyes as you pleasure me" he grits out, grabbing my jaw in a bruising hold. I open my eyes to find him towering over me, naked. I start to cry harder.
"Shut up with your god forsaken crying" he screams, backhanding me before forcing himself into my mouth.
I could hear his sharp intakes of breath, groans and quiet curses as he forces himself into my mouth faster, deeper and harder, making me gag and chock on my sobs. After he was done, he untied me before leaving me sobbing on the bedroom floor. Wishing at times like these that I was back with my brothers and father.
Flashback/nightmare over-
I wake up gasping for air as I frantically look around for my foster father before relaxing slightly at the fact I'm in my room now and remembering his death. Looking at the clock, I see it reads 4:19. Knowing I won't that I won't get back to sleep now and I don't want to wake Elias up for yet another nightmare, I decide to got the the gym to release some of my stress and anger.

I change into this workout outfit thinking that I won't see anyone, so no one will see my scars that are clearly showing- my bruises had faded and cuts healed over the first 3 weeks of being here.
Third person POV -
It's been 3 hours since Sapphire started working out. She's zoned out and has been focusing all her anger into the punching bag infront of her for the last hour. The rest of the Romano's were on their way to breakfast when they heard a loud thump from somewhere in the house. Thinking something had happened to sapphire, they all rushed up to her room only to find it empty. Panicking, they started to search each room in the house for her.
Meanwhile, Sapphire herself was panicking after the punching bag had broken and fallen off the chain, making a loud thump which she knew her family had heard. Cursing herself she began searching for something in the room that she could use to cover her scars, knowing her brothers and father were going to burst into the room any minute. However, her search was cut short as the door to the gym was slammed open and Blaze ran in with fear and panic prominent in his feature. He relaxed as his eyes landed on Sapphire before tensing up again as he stared at her, specifically her scars.
Sapphire stood frozen as she heard her brother shouting for the others. She was on the verge of a panic attack, tears streaming down her cheeks. He knows, and soon they all will, is all that was running through her head. Sensing her panic, Blaze ran over to her, taking her hand and placing it on his chest.
"Come on baby, breathe. Try to match my heartbeat. Thats it. In and out. In and out. There you go hun" Blaze said in a soft voice, unknown to anyone since Sapphire was sent away. They sit in silence as Sapphire put her head to Blazes chest, listening to his calming heartbeat while trying to calm her crying, while Blaze holds her to him, gazing down at her in guilt and sadness.
Soon after the door was once again thrown open as the rest of the family rushed in, in a panic. Like Blaze, they all relaxed at the sight of Blaze and Sapphire on the floor before tensing up at her tear stained cheeks and scar filled body that was on show. Elias looked at her with sadness and guilt, already having guessed about the abuse and this just confirming it, he felt as though some of this was his fault, although not knowing at the time, he felt as though once he found out he should have made them bring her back sooner or stopped them from sending her away at all.
The rest of the family watched, wide eyed, at the sight in front of them. There, sitting on the floor of the gym was their sister, Greyson's daughter, body full of scars. Scars that littered her arms, legs, stomach and back. Some made by knives, some by broken glass, some by whips, belts and other devices. What caught their attention the most was the word whore that looked like it was sloppily carved into her stomach. Their body's flooded with guilt as they came to the realisation, especially Blaze, but Matteo could help but shout "WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY" pointing to her scars.

BF Training Course
Story about a man who trusts and loves his girlfriend. Basic premise is that your girlfriend is leaving on a trip and wants you to take part in some mysterious course while she's gone. Figuring out what the course is about is a big part of the story. Mostly the story will be focused on dialogue and thoughts. One of my goals is for there to not be any potentially interesting conversations that are skipped past, many times I've been reading some story and hated it when some really interesting conversation is just summed up without going into enough detail.

The CEO's Shy Girl (Editing)
"Ms. Peterson, did you attend a club Friday night? " Mr. Shaw said causally as he focused his eyes on his twirling pen."No" I said trying not to show that I was lying. But then again people always think I'm lying."Well I just ask because when I went to a club Friday night...there was a girl who looked an awful lot like, you dancing on one of the tables at a bar with a bra on as a top" he said focusing his narrowing eyes on me now." Is that question really appropriate to ask in the work place sir?" I said confused."I'm not sure? Is it Ms. Peterson?" he said a little sarcastically."Well... since you are not sure, I will just be on the safe side and not answer it sir" I said hoping to get a positive response for what I just said. Kathy With A K's Song
"Oh my darling, when you smile, it is like a song"-"Obviously," She started. There was a nervous shake in her voice that made me tilt my head in her hands. "Obviously you don't understand the agreement." She repeated after quickly composing herself. I rolled my eyes, but let her continue."Where you go, I go. Where I go, you go." She told me sternly. Her thumbs grazed my cheeks and heat rose on my skin where she touched. I couldn't tell if this was just Sophia being caring or if she was maybe feeling more. My brain told me that this was all a friendly gesture, but my body and it's stupid hormones were telling me that it was something more. And your brain can never really overcome true instincts. An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one.
