"I said don't follow me "

Mani stands there, momentarily in disbelief at the offer on the table. What should he do? If he were to refuse, it would be proving Teddy right. That he indeed was incapable of resisting his natural urges, that he was indeed weak, that fate was in fact stronger than choice. But to stay? He would yet again be in danger of proving the alpha right. Mani could not predict what Teddy would do from one moment to the next. He would probably pull every trick in the book to get Mani to yield. But this was also Mani's chance to prove not only to Teddy, that his traditional wolfkind ideology could be challenged, but it would also prove to Mani that it would take more than a little something called fate to confess undying love.

"Ok…but we are staying in separate beds!" Mani insists, causing the alpha to raise his hands up in defence.

"Hey, whatever you say." He says in mild surprise that the guy had agreed to this in the first place. "Separate beds it is…but you won't resist crawling on your hands and knees to me before morning comes." He smirks, his mouth showing a wide grin." 

"In your dreams and I mean that because it will never happen in your waking hour.'' Mani bites back, before turning away from Teddy to head for the door. "I'm taking a shower. Don't even think about following me." He glances over his shoulder back at the alpha, who now seemed to be pouting. 

"Spoil sport!" Mani hears the response being uttered from under his breath. It causes a tug to his lips, which he instantly regrets. He wasn't supposed to want this alpha's attention. He hurries his steps towards the shower block, still shrouded in only the sheet. "Mani…Hey, Mani…" 

"I said don't follow me." Mani hisses through clenched teeth as he begins to turn. He wanted no one to know he was even here. He now looks up at Teddy smiling, holding something out to him. 

"Don't you need a towel? And I know humans are all about smelling sickly sweet." He offers out a burgundy fluffy towel and some shower gel. "You wanna hide your beautiful allure from me, knock yourself out." 

Mani looks at the items being offered his way. "Oh…thanks." He utters, feeling foolish that he would even forget something as basic as a towel. Teddy was obviously getting into his head already. 

As the aroma fades, he knows Teddy has kept to his word and hasn't followed Mani into the shower. Mani takes a step into the warm spray. The feel of the pressured water on his bruised skin felt painful but also gave a weird relief. It was like Mani wanted to feel the pain inflicted on him. It was on some level, his punishment for denying an alpha of what he wanted. 

He takes his hands to the cuts and bruises over his inflicted body, the power of his omega working through the fingertips to ease the pain, speeding up the healing process. He remembers his mother telling him of this rare gift. The gift of healing hands. Mani knew he was special in that respect and also knew that should he ever encounter his fate mate, they would probably be the polar opposite to him. The alpha type, a leader. The kind to start a fight. Maybe even a war and their good little omega would be at home to make them all better. 

Mani shakes his head subconsciously at the roles the wolfworld had inflicted on his kind. Everyone had a status placed upon them, expectations, a role to play, but he believed in equality, the freedom to choose. Even the most alpha of wolves was surely capable of having more than one side to them, just like his omega may just want to buck the trend, to stand up for what he believes in, maybe even pave the way for those to follow.

His mind only becomes aware of how long he has been in the shower when the hot water becomes tepid. He may have been taking his time, hoping that when he got back into the dorm, Teddy would be fast asleep, as it was already the small hours of the morning.

With the towel wrapped around his waist, Mani tries his best to creep ever so quietly inside the unlocked dorm room. He sees the very still figure of the male in the bed opposite Jojo's as Mani quietly rests the shower gel bottle on the nearby desk. It looked like he was asleep. 

Mani now wastes no time in heading to the drawers on Jojo's side of the room. There must surely be some underwear in there somewhere! He begins to rummage, managing to locate a pair of black, rather fitted briefs. Mani sighs at the small item of clothing. Of all the underwear styles in the world, why did Jojo choose to possess these? Mani wouldn't have minded seeing Jojo wear them of course. The thought was rather enticing, but the last thing Mani wanted was for Teddy to see him wearing something like this. Well… it was better than the alternative, which was nothing. 

He reluctantly lets the towel fall. It drops to the floor, soft and silent as Mani proceeds to reach for the tiny briefs. He hurriedly puts them on, all too aware of the alpha seemingly sleeping over his shoulder. 

As quiet as a mouse, Mani now climbs into bed and snuggles under the sheets. He rests on his side, momentarily glancing over at Teddy, who to Mani's surprise, is peeking over the top of the sheets, his big blue eyes staring back at him…
