《Alpha - Hell Rider's MC #2 -》Chapter 29

Walking out of the shed was like walking into another world after what I had witnessed. I was glad that I had allowed Ripper to do what he needed to do, because just from looking at him now I could see that he got the closure he needed.
The men knew to give him space when we returned, although I could see that they were concerned. Before this, no one had really seen the famous "Ripper" break down before. No one had seen him crumble before now, so when I looked around and saw the sadness and concern in everyone's eyes I knew that they were truly worried about him.
Lilly was already waiting for us by time we got up to the door and she threw herself around him, pulling him to her tightly and allowing him to squeeze her for comfort. This would mark a new beginning for those two, and a new beginning for Ripper to be able to let go of his demons knowing that the person who caused them could no longer do him any harm.
Leaving those two to bask in the comfort from the other, I went upstairs to my room to change and shower cause although I let Ripper do everything, I wanted to scrub away the memories from that cell. Alesha's words seemed to stick with me and cause me to itch at the thought of anyone doing that to their own child, their blood.
Sighing, I stripped and stood under the hot water, allowing my muscles to relax as I closed my eyes and did my best to rid myself from the memories of today.
Just as I had started to doze off while standing, the shower curtain was pulled back and Scarlett's arms wrapped around me. I opened my eyes and smiled down at her, running my hand up and down her back. Her presence was already allowing my mood to increase the longer we stood there together.
"How're you feeling?" She mumbled softly.
I sighed and leaned my head back against the wall, closing my eyes. "You should've seen the look on his face baby. He looked so tormented by the memories of what that woman did to him. The things he said down there..." my throat started to close. "The things he said that woman did... if he hadn't of killed her I would've because no mother should ever treat their child that way. She was a monster."

"Hey," Scarlett's hand cupped my cheek and she forced me to look down at her. "It's over now. We will all heal from this and things will get better. It'll take time but we will all be okay."
I smiled and pulled her close to me, so grateful that this woman came into my life and saved me just when I was beginning to think it impossible.

"Church meeting in ten," I said to Spider as I walked past him. He nodded and passed the word around to the other guys who were just sitting around talking amongst themselves.
"What's it about?" He asked once he joined me at the bar.
I sighed and looked over at Ripper for a brief second, who was too immersed into paying attention to Lilly to notice. Looking back over at Spider, I could tell he understood when his face grew grim and he nodded stiffly.
The details of what she said would obviously not be discussed, but we needed to discuss her death, and how to make sure the police don't show up at our doors wondering where she is.
Plus through all of this, we had kinda lost our focus on Adam and his goons. They were still in jail, and through my connections to the police I found out that the chances of them ever getting to see outside of the jail ever again were very very slim.
For now, we could relax. It would take multiple of us awhile to heal from the course of events that have occurred over the past few weeks. Plenty of us were impacted and only time will tell how we are able to push past these obstacles.
When my reminder went off on my phone I sighed and stood up, making my way to the Church room. As soon as the guys saw me get up they started to follow me and move to the room as well. I groaned as I sat down in my seat at the head of the table, and watched as the guys finished entering the room, closing the door behind them.
I waited until everyone was seated to begin the meeting. "Okay so first things first, Alesha is now dead. The last thing we want is the cops showing up asking for her whereabouts. So just so everyone is clear, she was never here. Understand?"

"Yes sir." Everyone nodded.
"Another thing, I was talking with our police department contact recently and the likelihood of Adam and his goons getting out of jail are slim to none, and even if they do it won't be for a long time. So for now we have nothing to worry about concerning them, but I still want everyone to be ready 24/7 in case anything happens. Got is?"
"Yes sir."
"I know the past few weeks for everyone has not been great. We have overcome a lot of mental obstacles in dealing with these people, and it could take awhile for all of us to heal. I know that I'm your president but I'm also your friend. If any of you are struggling in any way I want you to come with me, no matter how much your ego tells you not to. Got it?" I asked harshly.
"Yes sir," a few of the men smiled as the said the phrase, probably grateful that they knew that they could talk to me.
"One other thing; Raine." I looked over at Joker and saw him visibly cringe. "We need to take a vote as to what to do with her. She's been getting crazier lately and demanding we let her go. I've been putting this off for as long as possible with everything else going on, but today we need to decide." I turned my attention to Joker who was looking in my general direction but had his head down. "Joker, if you do not want to take a vote, you do not have to. Everyone in the room will understand."
He nodded and looked further down into his lap, ignoring the way some of the men glanced over at him.
"So we take a vote. Those in favor of the execution of Raine Miller say aye."
"Aye Prez," every man in the room echoed. Shockingly, I even saw Jokers lips move and say the words as well.
I nodded. "Tomorrow we will do a public execution. For now, does anyone have any questions?" I asked as I looked around the table.
Everyone shook their heads.
"I know this was a short meeting but I wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page with what was happening. You are dismissed," I announced, and everyone started to get out of their seat and exit the door.
I stood up and sighed at the heaviness in my bones. I wanted a nap.
I chuckled to myself.
Man I must be getting old if all I can think about is taking a nap.
I walked out of the room, following after the guys and went straight to the seating area where Scarlett was sitting with Lilly, Kali and Miranda. I sat down in the seat next to Scarlett and took her hand in mine, smiling at her before tuning into the conversation.
"All I'm saying, is that hotdogs are not sandwiches," Miranda sassed.
"But it's between bread. That should classify as a sandwich," Kali argued. Scarlett and Lilly were sipping what looked to be lemonade while watching them with amusement.
"How should that classify it as a sandwich?!"
"Because I say so!"
"That is not a valid argument."
"You know what," Kali smirked. "I'm going to look it up," she pulled out her phone and typed for a few moments before she slowly looked up.
Miranda crossed her arms with a smirk. "And what did you find?"
Kali huffed and looked away before mumbling something to herself. The people around us burst out into laughter.
Scarlett nudged her while laughing before she turned her attention to me. "Everything okay?" She whispered.
I looked around at the people who have become my family over the years. Everyone was smiling and having a good time. Yes we would be recovering for awhile mentally after everything that has happened to us, but we were strong. I wouldn't trade the men and women in this club for anything in the world.
I smiled to myself and wrapped my arm around Scarlett's shoulders, pulling her close to me.
"Yeah, everything is perfect."
Everything in my life had finally aligned. I was finally happy.
