"Hey." Taehyung chimed the moment I opened the door.

"Hey." I tiptoed to reach his lips where I gave him as quick peck.

He sighs a little and pulls away, "look, I'm sorry for yesterday. I just-"

And I cut him off by sticking out a bag before me. "What's this?" He tilted his head lightly, a subtle smile playing on his pink lips as he peaked into it.

"Scenes From a Marriage." I peeped, pressing my lips into a tight smile as I pulled him into the house.

I popped the disc in and prepared the movie as he stood at the door, a little confused. "Come on," I waved him over but he continues to stare at the television screen blankly and I paused.

"I got the right movie, right?" I quickly took out the packaging, reading the title as I bit my nails. I sat on the ground as I read through the synopsis, making sure that I got the right one.

Taehyung sat himself next to me but I don't realise it until he kisses my cheek. "You're the sweetest." He said right before kissing my lips and all I did was smile back at him.

"I'm so sorry for yesterday." He apologised, resting his palm on my thigh as he looked into my eyes.

"No, don't apologise." I quickly stop him. "I get where you were coming from and I just wanted you to know that the thought of us having a future together doesn't scare me." I shake my head as I took in a deep breath.

"It excites me." I beamed. "It's just, I'm not ready for all of that yet." I said and Taehyung nods a little. "I know I don't talk about it but-" I trail off a little, scared of how he'd react, "but I'm still healing from Jae and I just don't want to rush into anything I'm not ready for, you know?"

Taehyung lets out a deep breath, his arm encircling around my shoulders as he brought me to his chest, "I know." He whispered right before kissing my forehead. "Like I said, I'll give you all the time you need as long as you're by my side." His lips stretched into a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

I knew he was trying his best to understand me but his sadness was evident in his eyes.

"Alright, let's watch it while Aera's still at work." He quickly changed the subject as he reached for the remote.

"Mmhmm," I hummed, "but not too loud, my dad's asleep." I said and he nods as the both of us made our way to the couch, getting cozy.

I laid on his shoulder as his arm remained around me, holding me close to him. We watched the movie in silence mostly, with me nuzzling into his neck every few seconds to get comfortable.

As I watched the movie, I hear deep breaths coming from Taehyung and I looked up to him only to see him fast asleep. I smile at his restful state, wondering how he managed to look so good without trying. I snuggle up next to him, laying my head on his chest where I closed my eyes, finding rest and comfort in his arms.

I feel myself dozing off but just before the night could consume me, I hear the front door open. I jolt up, moving away from Taehyung's body. "Aera?" I frowned with confusion as she struggled with the paper bags in her hands.

"Could you help me with these?" She said and I continued staring.

"I thought you were working overtime today?" I questioned as I tapped onto Taehyung, who was out of Aera's view, trying to get him to wake up.

"I guess not," she huffed, dropping the paper bags onto the counter top which startled Taehyung.

He popped up from the couch and Aera's eyes instantly land on him. "Taehyung?" She called out, her brows furrowing into a deep frown as he stared at her with a blank look.

She threw me a glance as the both of us remained silent.

"What's going on?" She trailed off slightly, her gaze floating back over to Taehyung as confusion stained her eyes evidently.

"We were just watching an old movie." I said, trying not to give it much weight.

"It's fine, I'll get going then." He stood up, leaning in to give me a kiss on instinct but caught himself the moment he notices me move away. "I'll see you guys around." He coughed, clearing his throat as his cheeks were painted with a peachy red. But before he could leave, Aera stopped him.

"No!" She blurted. "Stay. We have to talk about next month anyway." She finished, walking into the kitchen.

"Next month?"

"Yea, the carnival." She yelled out from the kitchen.

"Isn't that cancelled?" I tilt my head to the side, "you do know that Jae and I broke up, right?" I walked towards her so that she'd hear me, and she nodded.

"Well, if you can hang out with Taehyung after we broke up, I don't see why your breakup should affect anything." She whispered over to me as Taehyung remained in the living room with a frown plastered over his handsome features. "What are you doing over there? Come here, we have to discuss." Aera tapped onto the countertop with a giggle, motioning for Taehyung to come to us.

I couldn't help but scoff, "if Jae's going, I'm obviously not going to be there." But my sister simply shrugs.

"Fine, I'll just have to go with Jae and Taehyung then." She babbled, grinning at Taehyung and I feel something within me twist.

"You know what? Forget what I said. I'll be there."
