"Lysander."
"No."
"Lysander."
"No."
"Do we have to go through this every time you take a shower?" I frowned upon the werewolf who loathes water and taking showers. Before we go back in the road, we decided to take showers and have breakfast that the motel offers. Rami had gone out to get breakfast for the three of us. I had already taken my shower before the boys woke up, so now it's Lysander's turn.
The first time he took a shower back in our apartment, I had to force him. He literally sat on the floor until I had to come and make him. Right now, he would not even get up from the bed.
"Lysander, come on." I sat by his side, putting a hand on his arm. He rotated his body to look at me. "It's been like two days since you took a shower. You should probably wash away all those gross stuff. If you don't, you'll smell horrible and no one will want to be your friend and no girl will want to kiss you and the cute puppies won't run to you and the birds will shit on you."
He raised a brow as the corner of his lips twitched upwards. "You want to kiss me." It wasn't even a question. And he's damn right I want to kiss him. I ain't gonna tell him that though.
"Me? As if." I scoff, walking away from him to turn on the TV. The only good thing on air at this time is Supernatural. Ah, yes. My sons. My wayward sons. This is the episode where Sam and Dean meets Castiel for the first time. "I'm the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition." I grinned, saying the lines along with the precious angel Castiel. The view of Cas, however, was suddenly blocked by the werewolf in the room.
Lysander leaned forward and trapped me in between his arms. "But I want to kiss you." He whispered, his eyes trailing down to my lips, which I had pursed self-consciously.
As soon as our lips brushed slightly, I jumped back and put an index finger over his lips. "Take a shower."
"And then you'll kiss me?"
"Maybe."
Huffing, he slowly turns to the opened bathroom and glared at it. He gulped and took small steps towards the room like a little kid facing a terrifying monster. He returned his gaze on me with pleading eyes, begging me not to make him go in the bathroom. I waved my hand, gesturing for him to go on, before turning my full attention back to my Supernatural boys.
If only the hunters hunting us are Sam and Dean.
I heard a loud "hmph!" before the bathroom door slams. I heard the water started to run, and as soon as it did, I heard Lysander yelp. Oh, my poor baby.
Soon after that, Rami returned with the typical motel breakfast food: bagels with cream cheese, toasts, fruits and coffee. At first, Rami didn't want to watch Supernatural, but he ended up glancing continuously at the television when something interesting happens, and eventually getting into it.
"This Castiel character," Rami has heart eyes right now for Castiel. "I love him."
"So does Dean."
"What?"
"What?"
***
"I spy something small."
"What? That's it?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. Bird?"
"Nope.
"Rocks?"
"No."
"Squirrel?"
"Nope."
I rolled my eyes at the two boys playing iSpy as we continue our road trip. Rami keeps choosing silly stuff that makes it impossible for Lysander to get.

"A shoe?"
"Nope."
I glared at Rami through the rear view mirror. "It's me, isn't it."
Rami laughed. "Yes! See, that wasn't so hard, was it Lysander?" The werewolf scratched his head. He stuck his head out the window, letting the wind hit him as I increase my speed. "Now, iSpy something blue and red -- "
I tuned out on their game once again, diving into my own thoughts. We are quite far away from West Grove now and so far, no one has tried to kill us. But I don't want to just stop at a nearby town and stay there. We can be easily found at nearby cities and states. My original plan is to go west, but where in the west? It needs to be a place where Lysander can be comfortable with, and be free to shift whenever he'd like. If we could settle down to a good place that's a bit isolated from people, a place where it'll just be mostly us three, then that'll be good. Perhaps a forest, or woods.
OH.
WAIT.
I slammed the breaks and stopped the vehicle aside. I eagerly turned to my friends. "Sweet Einstein. What the hell, Drew?" Rami hit his head on the window as I stopped. Ha. Oops. "What's wrong?"
"I know where to go." I smiled at Lysander, putting my right hand over his left hand. "Lysander, we are bringing you home."
It'll be perfect! He lives in Redwood, California by San Francisco. That place is massive and perfect home for a werewolf who doesn't want to be found. Besides, that is where he was found. It's only fair to bring him back where he belongs.
"You're coming home." I repeated slowly, just in case Lysander didn't understand me. He had an expression that looked like he either didn't understand me or did not like my idea. I'm not sure.
"Okay." He replied softly, tightening his hold on my hand before looking away towards the window.
"Great!" I grinned, turning my eyes back on the road.
Right when I'm about to step on the gas, I was stopped by a police siren coming from behind me. A cop on a motorcycle stopped his vehicle behind my car and the uniformed man ran by my side. My eyes quickly scanned everything over. We look clean and innocent. Lysander doesn't look out of place. Act calm. Drew, act calm. Don't panic. You did nothing wrong.
"Hello, officer." I greeted the tall cop with a small smile.
The cop removed his shades to get a better look at us. He ran his eyes over each of us slowly, then to our surroundings. I'm really just embarrassed by the big mess we have inside. All the snacks we've eaten. "Miss. Do you mind if I do a random check? There has been a lot of crimes recently in the state and the law enforcement wants to be safe."
"Of course, sir."
"If you all could please, step out of the car and show me your ID's."
"Yes sir."
Rami, Lysander and I all stepped out of my car and lined up behind it, behind the cop's motorcycle. This cop is not from West Grove, so I'm feeling a little more confident in facing him. He may know about the wanted werewolf, he may not. We will see.
The cop searched our car first. He took about five minutes before going to us. "You kids have a lot of stuff back there." He pointed at the back. It's mostly my stuff. "Where are y'all headed to?"

"Utah, sir." Rami answered with his hands on his back modestly. "We're on a road trip."
The cop nodded. His eyes are giving me anxiety. It's so full of accusations. He took Rami's ID and read it briefly, then mine. When it came to Lysander's ID, my heart started to race. Has he noticed it's fake? Is this it? Is this were our adventure ends? Or are we going to have to make a run for it?
"Is there something wrong?" Lysander asked, glaring at the cop.
His glare was so intimidating, the cop had backed away to avoid the intensity. The blonde officer flashed us his bright teeth and let out a chuckle. "Nothing." Rami and I sigh in relief, which was gladly unnoticed by the man. "Just a funny name you've got."
Lysander crossed his arms, flexing his muscular arms that even the cop couldn't help but ogling. "Yeah. My parents are really bad with names." He retorts, giving Rami a displeased look. "Big Shakespeare fans."
The man nods. "Alright. One more thing." He then pulled out something from his pocket. A familiar white device. A Sleeper. Rami still had a couple of Sleepers left in the backseat. "Are these drugs?"
Rami and I shook our heads vigorously. "No sir." I kept my head held high. "We are scientists, sir." Rami continued. "That thing is our invention. We work for a research center called Silverstein and we were told to travel to Utah to speak to scientists from there about this invention, as well as several other ideas."
The cop seemed like he believed us. "May I see an ID for this research center that you work for?"
Rami and I showed him our ID's, which the officer took a long time staring at. He checked the Sleeper once again, smelling it and observing every angle of it. It really just looks like a small white device the size of a pebble with holes on the surface. I just hope he doesn't drop it, which will trigger the vapor to come out and he will knock out and it'll look like we had made a move on him.
"Alright. You're good to go. Thank you for your time." Thank Einstein. Finally. "Good luck with your product. Stay safe out there." The cop never once glanced at Lysander again. He got on his bike and blasted off down the hill where we had just come from.
"Wow, I think you scared him." Rami grinned at Lysander. "Well done, friend. You should glare and growl all the time so no one ever comes near us." Lysander glared at Rami in response. "Just like that! Perfect. Now, let's get the hell out of here before -- ah!" Rami was suddenly three feet off the ground, being lifted by a giant.
Well, a man who looks an awful lot like a giant. Just like Hagrid, but with less hair and more creepy gothic appearance. Pale skin, red eyes, sharp teeth, fancy black attire. He is holding Rami by his shirt. Right next to the gothic man is a similar looking woman. Gothic, a little shorter, black tight dress, red eyes and sharp teeth.
Lysander moved in front of me the second they had arrived. "Put him down." He said through gritted teeth, glaring at the giant vampire holding up Rami. "Now." His voice deepened.
The woman scrunched up her noise and waved her hand as if she had smelled something awful. "Ugh. They said there will be a mutt but I didn't think he'd smell this disgusting."
"Put. Him. Down." Lysandere repeated, growling at the pair of bloodsuckers.
"Don't tell me what to do, dog." The giant man responded with a giant voice. Nevertheless, he had put Rami down. My friend immediately ran behind Lysander, the two of us hiding behind him. The man put a hand inside his black leather jacket and pulled out a stake. A wooden stake. He held it up to me.
"We are friends of the West Grove clan." Says the girl, running a hand through her blue pixie hair. "Idris messaged us and requested to find an Andromeda, Rami and dog." She smirked at Lysander, eyeing him up and down. I'd say she's impressed by his appearance, judging by the way she continued to stare at him. He is eye candy. I can't blame her. Though, once she took another sniff of the air, she grimaced and looked at Rami instead, who is too busy cautiously watching the giant vampire while clinging onto Lysander's arm. "We could smell the werewolf scent quite well, so we found you. Idris sent us to give you this stake. For protection against other vampires who may harm you."
Bless that vampire's non-existent soul.
"Well, you can tell his vampire ass, thanks but we don't need help. We can take on a vampire any day by ourselves." He scoffs but takes the wooden stake anyway.
"Rami." The woman smiled wickedly. "He mentioned you. Idris. I think he's quite fond of you. I don't know if it's because of your interesting personality or your sweet smelling blood." She licked her lips, killing Rami's sudden burst of confidence. "Oh, and he said to not worry about Evandra. They are making sure she is in good hands."
"Question." I stepped in front of Lysander. He had instantly grabbed my arm protectively. "How did Idris know we'll be here and how is he keeping watch of Eva?"
"Vampires." She shrugs. "We have our ways. Lots of connections. Eyes and ears everywhere. Idris is highly respected, so he has lots of friends." Huh. Interesting. "Now, if that'll be all, I'd like to leave. I can't stand the reek of wet dog." She smirked at Lysander and winked before turning to her partner. "Let's go, Bobby."
"Your name's Bobby?" Rami blurted out, his mouth dropping in surprise.
The giant leaned down to go eye to eye with the young human. "You got a problem with that?"
"N-No. No sir. Good name, Bob." Rami laughs nervously, giving him a thumbs up.
Lysander growled at the vampires once again before marching to the car, clutching my hand as he did so. He sat on the driver's seat and gently dropped me on the seat beside him. As soon as he turned on the engine, Rami jumped at the backseat.
"Oh. One more thing." The woman appeared by my door as if by magic, making me scream in surprise. "If you do use that stake, make sure you stab them in the heart. If you miss it even by an inch, they do not die." Without waiting for a reply, she and Bobby the giant vampire runs off to nowhere with impossible speed.
Must be nice to be a supernatural being with cool powers.
"Wow."
"So Ivan's watching us or something. I don't know if that makes me feel better or creeped out." Rami shares as the car starts moving. I chose not to pay attention to Rami, or the fact that he had once again got Idris' name wrong, because I'm too busy gawking at Lysander who is driving. Lysander is driving. And failing.
He knows how to turn on the car and move forward and all. It's just, the way he controls the steering wheel and the constant stepping on the breaks is troubling. We are driving on a mountain. Beautiful road, but absolutely dangerous. I'm quite confident with driving but even I'm a bit anxious with the twists and turns of this path.
"Lysander, sweetie." I say slowly. He looks very concentrated and frankly, it looks fucking hot. But I don't want to die. "You should let me drive." He's biting his lip while grip on the wheel tightens up, his pupils dilating to see the road better.
"It's okay. I got it." He mumbles before suddenly speeding off so fast, I clung to my seat for my life. Rami even let out a scream while curling up to a ball at the backseat. Then, he slammed on the brakes and my body almost flew out of the car, if it wasn't for the seat belt saving my life.
"Alright." I quickly got off the car and run to the driver's seat. Lysander frowned at me. "Move over."
"But -- " He looked like he really wanted to drive. I feel bad. But like I said. I don't want to die right now. I have to bring him home first. "Fine." He pouts like a little kid before sliding over to my previous seat.
I crawled up to my original spot and put a hand on his cheek. "I'll teach you sometime. But for now, we have to run."
Rami jumps in between us and beeps the horn. "Just kiss and drive damn it."
