It was 11 pm when I finally left my house and went back to the Johnson's.

As expected Kade never came home so Mom, Dad, Tyler and I played Monopoly for a while until I had to leave. "Can't you stay over for one night?" My mom pleaded.

"I have to get the kids ready for school tomorrow, I really want to though," I explain.

I got back to the Johnson's and all the lights were still on. Really? I open the front door and hear the TV.

I walk into the living room and there was Jace, Hallie, and Cal all watching TV. "Are you serious?" I asked. As soon as they saw me, pure looks of terror crossed their faces.

Jace looked at his phone "oops... bedtime."

"No kidding, it's midnight, Hal's bedtime was 4 hours ago," I said glaring at Jace.

"I'm sorry we lost track of time," Jace cringed and picked Hallie up and carried her to bed.

I rolled my eyes, "you too Cal, upstairs."

Without another word Cal went upstairs too.

I went upstairs as well, brushed my teeth, and went to bed in a bad mood. Stupid Kade.

"Lex wake up," Jace whispered and kissed my forehead.

I jolt up "What's wrong?" I demanded. Jace was never up this early so I knew something was wrong.

"Woah there... nothings wrong, I just brought you breakfast."

"Oh... thanks," I smiled "you didn't have to."

"Yeah I did, you left me in charge and I messed up and now Hal's gonna be a nightmare to wake up. The least I could do is bring you breakfast and tell you how much I love you," he explained with a grin.

"How thoughtful," I replied sarcastically as he handed me a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice.

"That's the best I could do. Sorry for my lack or cooking skills," He said slightly embarrassed.

"It's great thank you," I smiled and kissed his forehead. Just as he was about to leave I stopped him, "Next time I'm leaving Cal in charge."

Jace glared and then left.

It took effort from both me and Jace, but we eventually got Hallie out of bed and we all left for school.

"Lex!" Sebby exclaimed and ran over to me.

"Hey I haven't seen u in a while, how was your family in Puerto Rico?" I asked.

"They're all doing well and it was great to see them, but I'm so happy to be back."

"Tell me everything at lunch, and we need to talk about our trip," I said as the bell rang and I had to run to class.

"For homework read pages 456-468 and then do the problems on page 469," instructed Mr. Bailey.

I rolled my eyes... More homework... Joy.

Next period was lunch so when the bell rang I grabbed my things and went to the cafeteria to sit at my usual table with Seb and Lily.

"Hey," I greeted as I set my tray of macaroni and cheese and chips down on the table.

"Hey babe what's up?" Lily exclaimed.

"Nothing I'm just exhausted," I sighed and plopped down on my seat.

"So why did you want to talk about our trip?" Seb asked.

"I was just wondering how your jobs were going? I'm almost set with money, what about you guys?" I asked

"I'm almost good with money too. Just a few more paychecks and We'll be Europe bound," said lily.

"Me too," Sebby nodded.

We continued to eat our lunch until the bell rang and the period was over.

The rest of the day flew by and soon it was time to go back home.

The whole day had been exhausting, and I didn't feel like going to the grocery store, so we decided to eat out for dinner.

Everyone was almost done getting ready to go when someone rang the doorbell.

I started walking to the front of the house to open it when it rang again. Jeez, who ever it was, is very impatient.
