I woke up snuggled into Jace's arms and turned around to face him. He stared back at me with a smile.

"Did you know you smile in your sleep? And you cuddle up to me." He asked with a smirk.

"Shut up Jace." I said.

"Mmmm ok." He said as he kissed me on the forehead.

"What time is it?" I asked through a yawn.

"Its 7," Jace said after picking up his phone.

I pushed Jace's arm off of mine and stood up, "Damn it i have to make dinner."

"Do you need some help?" He asked.

"No, I've seen you in the kitchen before and I don't know if that's a sight I want to see again," I said jokingly and made my way into the kitchen.

When I walked into the kitchen, I saw Hallie and Cal sitting at the barstool. "Lexi." Hallie said with a curt nod.

"Uh, what's going on?" I asked confused.

"You and Jace are dating now." Cal said authoritatively.

What was goin on?

"And we wanted to make sure that you are going to treat him right." Hallie explained.

"Guys where is this-"

"You cannot cheat on him. You have to kiss him everyday. You have to tell him you love him-" Hallie started.

"Woah Hal, slow down there." I said quickly, "Jace and I have only been dating for a week."

"But you love him, right?" Cal asked.

"Of course I do." I said in a hushed whisper, but I guess it wasn't quiet enough.

"You love me?" Jace asked from behind me.

Oh god. When did he get in here?

"Jace-"

"Say it." He demanded.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Tell me." He said.

I sighed, "I love you Jace."

He was silent for a split second before his arms were around me and his lips on mine.

"I love you too Lexi." He said in between his kisses, "I love you. so. so much."

He pulled away and spun me around, then walked over to Hal, picked her up and threw her in the air. He turned to Cal and squeezed his shoulder.

Then he ran back over to me and pulled me in for another hug.

"Say it again."

"I love you Jace." I giggled. "I have for a while."

"I love you too."

...

"I'M NOT GETTING UP," Hal screamed at me as she covered her head with a blanket.

"Hal I know it's early but you have to go to school," i said sternly.

"NO, I DONT HAVE TO," She screamed louder.

"what will it take to get you out of bed?" I said in a sweet voice.

This got her attention, "we all have to go shopping after school."

"Umm..." I said and thought for a second. "If you get out of bed I will try to take you shopping after school."

"Not just me, ALL of us," Hal ordered and started to take the covers of of her.

"Fine," I said, "get dressed and come down stairs in 10 minutes for breakfast."

Without another word Hallie jumped out of her bed and walked over to her closet. I closed the door and made my way to Cal's room.

"Cal wake up, it's time for school," I said softly. When he didn't answer I turned on the light. No one was there.

My heart started racing. He's a freshman, did he really sneak out?!

I turned around to run into Jace's room for help, when I saw Cal sleeping on the floor on top of a blanket. "Nevermind." I muttered.

"Cal," I said softly, nudging him, when he stirred I asked, "Why are you on the floor?"

"Uh, I don't know..." He replied confused.

"Ok bud..." I said patting him on the shoulder before walking out, "Get ready for school."

He groaned.

I walked into Jace's room, expecting to find him fully dressed, but what I found shouldn't have surprised me.

"Good Lord," I muttered as I yanked the blanket off of him revealing him to be wearing only underwear and shoved him off of his bed.

"Babe!" He shouted. "I need my beauty sleep."

"No Jace, you need to go to school." I sighed, "Plus you're already pretty enough."

"Aww, you think I'm pretty?" He cooed as he held his hands up to frame his face.

"My goodness Johnson, just get up and get dressed." I sighed.

"What, you don't wanna look at this piece of hotness anymore?" He pouted.

"I've seen you shirtless so many times it's starting to not affect me."

That was a lie.

He still affected me very much.

"Fine." He grumbled.

I checked my phone as I waited for the kids to come down for breakfast and saw a week old email from my parents.

So proud of you Lex! We'll be back from New York in a week!

If they sent that a week ago...

I dialed Tyler.

When he picked up I screamed, "Are mom and dad home?"

"Yeah." He said nonchalantly and hung up on me.

Rude.

I squealed to myself.

I'd have to go see them later today.

They were gone for the past two months working on a case in New York, and had our grandma come over and check on us every week.

That was where they went wrong.

Grandma was old and senile, and the deal was if we didn't tell our parents that she wasn't coming to check on us, she wouldn't tell them she wasn't either.

Besides that, I was so excited to see them again, but I wondered what this meant for Jace and I. I wasn't so sure they'd trust me to practically live at my now boyfriend's house.
