Sorry it's been so long! Chapter 28 will not be as long of a wait. I'll try to have it up within the next week. Enjoy.

Chapter 27:

Announcing to the world that you're going to marry a vampire was easier said than done.

Especially when that world looked at vampires like they were scum, nothing more than a soulless thing used to do their bidding.

It had been one week since everyone found out I was planning on marrying Corey and one month since he proposed to me.

I sat on the couch of my living room, listening to the planner ramble on about the wedding.

I looked down at the ring on my finger, watching as the light would catch it just right and it would gleam.

I sighed; reliving that night.

It's not that I wasn't interested in planning my own wedding it's just that, that it had seemed like it's been the only thing I've been doing lately.

I was more than thrilled to get married to Corey.

He was the love of my life and there was no doubt in my mind that I would ever want anyone else.

I couldn't tell if Corey was excited as I was but I'm pretty sure he was.

Right now he was out with Drake shopping for a tux.

The wedding date was set for August 4th; only a couple of weeks from now.

It was going to be an outdoor wedding; our huge backyard was finally going to come into use.

After the planner left that day I went to meet Mary.

She had insisted on me getting new clothes for my honeymoon; well not clothes exactly but more like lingerie.

Surprisingly Mary had taken me getting married to Corey very well.

I just wish I could say the same about everyone else.

The first day after announcing it was the worst; I was extremely nervous to go to school the next day; knowing for sure that everybody would already know by then.

Corey seemed utterly calm about the whole thing well that was until he saw people's reactions.

I'd kind of been avoiding going out in public the last week; not wanting to face the stares that I got from people.

The staring wasn't even the worst part. There had been plenty of people whom had personally told me that they don't want me marrying a vampire, about how wrong it was; especially for the princess.

Everybody at school treated me completely differently.

They all looked at me like I had committed a murder; they were disgusted with me.

I don't know how many times someone had passed me in the hallway and glared at me then shook their heads in dismay or "accidentally" tripped me.

I pulled up to the store I was suppose to meet her at and parked my car.

I was driving my 1987 Buick GNX; black of course.

I would be driving my McLaren but someone had trashed it; smashing the windshield; cutting the tires and putting some nice scratches on the sides of it.

It was in the repair shop currently.

No doubt another person telling me just how outraged they were with me.

I walked into the store and was immersed in the smell of perfume, surrounded by countless racks of lingerie.

Mary waved at me and came up to give me a hug.

"Hey, Bells. How've you been?" She asked, releasing me from her embrace.

I smiled slightly. "Okay, I guess."

She frowned; most likely at my tone of voice. "I hope all this will stop after the wedding."

I nodded. Not saying just how much I wanted that to be true.

"Well are you ready to go shopping and get something really sexy for Corey?" She asked back to her usual perky self.

I breathed a laugh. "Uh-yeah," It sounded more like a question than an answer.

"My god, you're blushing all ready and I haven't even got you out of your clothes!" She exclaimed; laughing.

I let out a nervous laugh.

She grabbed my hand dragged me to the dressing rooms.

"I already have a bunch of stuff picked out."

"So...you never told me where you're planning on going for your honeymoon." Mary said as I stood in front a full length mirror; hiding my pink cheeks.

I avoided looking at myself in the black, lacy mesh lingerie that had matching garters.

I bit my lip when my eyes glanced at my reflection. "Um...well my Parents have this really nice log cabin out in the middle of like nowhere so we were planning on going there."

"Oh right, the one they visited last winter?"

I nodded.

"I like this one." She mused, looking me over.

She sent me back to try another; this one was a red satin, lace-up corset.

She laughed. "You look so uncomfortable."

"I am."

She rolled her eyes. "Go try on another."

I came back out in a black polka-dot bustier that had slits in the sides with red ribbon lacing and matching ruffled panties and red stockings.

She grinned. "Cute and sexy at the same time. I love it. You're getting it."

I smiled.

"I hope you're not this shy around Corey when you show him this."

"Oh I won't be." I responded.

She laughed and sent me back to try on yet another.

Once we were done in the store and I had bags full of lingerie we put the bags in my car and continued shopping.

Mary was trying to convince me to get a manicure but I wasn't too thrilled with the idea so I said she could go get one and I could go look at the music store.

She agreed. And I went off to the store.

I walked down the aisles of CD's; I stopped when I saw the band name Slipknot.

I didn't have any of there CD's and I'd really been getting into them lately; mainly because Corey really liked them.

I picked up one of their CD's and looked it over.

"That one's good but I'd suggest starting with their self-titled album." I heard a melodic voice say from behind me.

I quickly turned around to be greeted by a pair of stunning green eyes and a familiar smirk.

"Corey," I breathed. "What are you doing here?"

He looked around. "Oh nothing just stalking you." He said casually.

I smiled. "So you're a stalker now?"

"No." He turned serious. "I was actually just trying to escape from the all the damned dress clothes and decided this was the best place to hide." He grinned at me.

I breathed a laugh.

"What are you doing here?" He questioned accusingly.

"Looking for a CD,"

"I thought you didn't like Slipknot?"

"I changed my mind."

"Because of me?"

"Maybe,"

"Hmm, yeah it was because of me."

I rolled my eyes. "Self-centered much?"

"Gorgeous much?" He countered.

I laughed and tried to ignore the pink blossoming onto my pallid cheeks.

"So I'm guessing you haven't picked out a tux yet?" I inquired.

"Nope, but not to worry I'll be dressed up in my Sunday best." He replied, giving his black, long-sleeved shirt a tug.

"I'm sure."

He raised an eyebrow at me. "Is someone being a smart-ass today?"

I smirked. "No, I think you pretty much have that covered."

He pursed his lips.

I turned back around to the Cd's and quickly shuffled through them, grabbing their self-titled album and walking to the register.

Corey walked by me, "I see your taking my advice. Very wise."

I laughed.

I reached the register and placed my CD on the counter, pulling out a 50 from my shirt pocket.

I was dressed in a black and blue striped T-shirt that had one front-pocket on it and several of my band pins.

The shirt was tucked into the waist-length black, lacy and ruffled-styled skirt that reached several inches above my knees; they were lace tights covering my slim legs that were tucked into my ankle-length boots and I had on green and black checkered suspenders.

"May I say that you look absolutely stunning today? It's been ages since I've seen you." Corey mused, sighing.

"Um, we saw each other this morning." I replied, holding back a laugh.

"I know it's been eons!" He said over-dramatically.

He chuckled and lightly kissed my cheek. "What do you say you and me find somewhere more private and fool around?" He whispered into my ear.

"Sorry, I don't fool around with strangers."

"Ah damn but I have candy. You want candy?"

I handed the man behind the counter the 50 dollar bill as he gave me a weird look.

"What kind of candy?"

Corey grinned. "A lollipop."

I raised my eyebrows. "Really?"

"Yeah, you wanna suck on my lollipop?"

I blushed.

I could tell he was trying not to laugh.

"I didn't mean it like that. I do actually have a lollipop." He reached into the pocket of his black jeans and pulled out a red wrapped lollipop.

He offered it to me. "You want it?"

I breathed a laugh. "No thanks, I'm good."

He shrugged and unwrapped the lollipop, sticking it in his mouth.

I took the bag holding my CD from the man and thanked him.

Corey pulled the lollipop out of his mouth, making a popping sound.

His looked over my shoulder and his eyes got big.

"Hide me!" He exclaimed, crouching down behind me.

"What-why?"

I looked over and saw Drake coming towards us.

"Hey Bells, have you seen Corey?" He asked. His voice thick with sarcasm.

"Go away, Corey's not here." Corey said, still hiding.

I laughed. "No."

Drake shook his head. "Corey, if you don't stop stalling we're never going to get this over with."

He stood up and wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder.

"Hmm, I suppose your right." He sighed. "Fi-i-i-i-i-ne, but can I ride home with Arabelle?"

Drake nodded. "Sure,"

"Yay," Corey said but his voice was still serious.

He let go of me and gave me a quick kiss on the neck. "I'll meet you at your car in 30 minutes."

I nodded.

Drake grabbed him and dragged him out of the store.

Corey looked back and winked at me before he left.

I shook my head and laughed under my breath.

He can be so weird sometimes.

I wonder if all vampires are this weird or if it's just him?

Yeah...it's just him.
