Pia, how was I able to shift?

'I don't know and it is quite a mystery. Usually half-breeds like you can't shift into a wolf when the male parent is dominant but somehow you did. I can sense it within you.'

I-I don't understand! How is this possible?

How was I able to shift? This can't be. I'm too confused of the state I am in right now!

'What's your name?' My so-called wolf asked. I can't believe that I also have an inner wolf or voice in my head.

I was too busy talking to Pia and also facing my enemy who has bitten my dad's arm with such anger that I didn't really notice Lawrence entering here.

Wait, how did he know I was here?!

Stand back. Somehow in the back of my head, I felt like I practically know everything. I think Lawrence got my mind-link message and so he stepped back but I can hear a deep growl escalating from his chest. He isn't certain with Angelica's actions. Somehow he was really angry when he saw dad got hurt.

ANGELICA! SHIFT AND FIGHT! I mind-link her and she growls at me hence pushing my father away from her. I growled at what she did but fortunately happy because now my dad will be out of harm's way.

"No! Let me fight her!" Lawrence shouts out and I just snarl at him

You do not want to mess with a girl's fight, Lawrence. If I say stand back then STAND BACK!

That's when I didn't realize that Angelica had already shifted into her wolf and that she had already pounced at me like a carnivorous devil. She actually is a little bit bigger than my wolf and the color of her fur is reddish-brown.

I shrieked in pain when I felt her canines trying to dig into my neck however she wasn't too fast. I immediately clawed her back then she falls back. This gave me an opportunity to dig my teeth on her neck but somehow my bite wasn't that deep but it made her weak enough to just lay there.

You didn't train much, did you?

'You bitch! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!'

Shockingly, she tackled me to the ground again. She was now above me and I was under her. I wasted no time and immediately bite her arm—exerting more power into the bite. She didn't give up and just attempted to bite my neck again.

FUCK! I need to intervene but somehow Claire can handle this. I don't know but the power radiating from her body is overwhelmingly powerful. She can even make me submit.

She's different. But how?

Is that all you can do? Bite my neck? I may have shifted just now but that doesn't mean I'm clueless to know skills.

It's true. I may never have tried any combat skills and anything but once I read a book or watch films about these—heck, I'm in for it. Since my wolf is strong on reflexes and senses, I have quickly adapted to its power. That is how fierce, observant, quick, and smart I am.

I've read werewolf fictions when free time especially when they battle it out. Once you read, you will just imagine yourself into their shoes.

I instantly use all my might to kick Angelica off of me and then I quickly tackle her to the ground and just bite her neck. Deeper and deeper my bite goes. She made no attempt to stop me—maybe because she was too caught up with what's happening. She doesn't really have the skill to react in time based on what I am seeing right now. She is just squirming and squirming and I can feel her life alleviating in front of my eyes. She already tried pawing me or kicking me off but it was too late. Her wolf is very weak and so are her eyes.

She can talk to talk but she can't walk the walk.

She's dead.

I killed her but somehow I don't feel any resent of my actions. I don't feel guilty.

Some may be even frightened... But not me.

Funny. The fight ended in a short period of time.

"Claire!" I hear Lawrence calling out to me and I face him. He immediately coughs and looks away.

Uh, why did he do that?

Somehow, I feel very cold like I don't have any clothes on.

Don't have any..

Clothes..

ON?!

Oh no! I didn't know that I shifted back into a human! Waaah! I feel red as a tomato now!

I quickly knelt down and bent my body a little to the floor to cover most of my private parts. Oh gosh, I'm so going to die early. I can feel the lust from Lawrence. He faces me once again and I can see that his perfect eyes have gotten darker and darker by the minute they roam around my body.

"Stop staring at me like that!" I snapped him back from whatever world he was in, "give me your coat before some other people enter!"

"You.. Erm.." I can tell his face is heating up.. HORMONES DAMNIT! I feel so agitated in a weird way!

LIKE I'M SO TOAST RIGHT NOW!

"Alpha! We've managed to capture them! It was unexpected! They completely surrendered!"

My eyes widen in fear when some men entered. I assume that those are Lawrence's men?

Lawrence growls deadly at his men then he shields me away from their sights. All of them stared at their alpha in fear. Lawrence quickly removes his long blazer and throws it at me. I instantly wore this and stood up afterwards—holding Lawrence's arms. He protectively puts his arms around me.

"DON'T LOOK AT HER!" Lawrence is literally on the verge of insanity as some of them can't seem to avert their eyes away. Mhm, luckily Lawrence shielded me.

"Wait.. Where's dad.."

"Don't worry, they're on it."

I saw two of his men carrying dad out of the room gently. I can still hear faint heartbeats coming from him. Pool of salty tears cascaded down my fatigue face. I wish this didn't happen to dad. I can't bear to lose him either.

"H-He's going to be all right, right?" I lean my head on Lawrence's shoulder but then he carried me into a bridal style.

"He's going to be okay.." His soothing voice calmed my senses but.. I'm so baffled of what happened before..

I shifted..

But I don't have a clue how. Pia obviously doesn't know since she just got here--- in my head and soul.

Now another mystery is yet to be solved..

How did I end up shifting?

"I-I need to rest.." I yawn and nuzzle myself against Lawrence's chest. I feel his soft lips pressed against my forehead.

I'm too tired..

I just want.. To rest for a while first..
