《The Queen's everything gxg》Chapter 28

This caused Aerilyn to choke on her food, coughing.
They all looked round to her.
"What are you talking about?" The girl asked, unsure if she wanted to know the answer.
Luanna was amused but irritated that Solenne hadn't taught or let Aerilyn learn more about vampires. "Well, here's a history lesson for you, when a vampire as powerful as her majesty drinks your blood, she can sense pretty much everything you are feeling even more strongly, it doesn't last very long though, only if they keep drinking your blood, it's a kin to reading your mind I would say. It's also the same if blood is shared, then both of you would be in tune to each other"
"Yes, but they didn't share blood" Prince Matheus pointed out.
Aeriyln looked over at Solenne knowingly, but the Queen wouldn't meet her eye.
She was about to ask why she couldn't sense what Solenne was feeling.
Luanna butted in, she didn't want the Prince to find out as he wasn't as open to humans as the others, "Even if she had drank Solenne's blood, she would not be able to sense her feelings because Solenne would block her out" well that answered the girls question.
"It is very interesting really...for a human" Aeirlyn paused, she was intrigued.
Solenne was lightly amused by the girls fascination, her anger was disappearing fast, she wanted to teach her more about their ways in the hopes Aerilyn would open up to the idea of the vampire world.
To her world.
Queen Solenne for the first time, cared what a human thought.
"I can teach you more if you'd like, there are some books in the library" Solenne spoke.
Prince Matheus stood up at this point, he wasn't pleased that a human would be taught about things he thought they should not know, "sorry to interrupt but I must get to my duties, we can't all sit in here talking all day" he joked, but he also didn't want the human girl being taught about vampires in depth either, that could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
But he couldn't say anything to his sister either, he cared for her and she for him. And so he believed that he would trust his sister to do what is right always.
He slowly bowed and then walked out of the room as Solenne dismissed him.
Aerilyn waited until he was out of the room and had Solenne's eyes back on her before she spoke.
"I'd love to read about it, although I might need some help, there are still some words I'm unsure about" she felt insecure saying it, since she was sat with two very educated vampires.
"We shall see to it" Solenne felt her attraction for the girl becoming too much, her desire feeding into her, she wanted the human.
For a second Queen Solenne's guard dropped as she was too trapped inside her head and the way she was feeling.
Aerilyn whose mind was also dropped due to the conversation suddenly felt it, she felt a warm fuzzy feeling all over.
Aerilyn looked straight over at the Queen, her neck throbbing under Solenne's gaze, it wasn't the only throbbing she felt as she crossed her legs.
Solenne gasped, realising her mind block was dropped, as quickly as it had dropped it had disappeared again, reappearing was her stoic expression.
The tension disappearing.
Snapping out of what she was feeling, they changed the subject, Luanna engaged Solenne in conversation.
Aerilyn tried to zone out of the conversation at that point, she needed to find Ev and plan their route out of here.

After she ate lunch she returned to her room for an hour, preparing for their practice, she had only used a bow and arrow previously and a dagger, she wasn't sure how she would fair with a vampire.
Knock knock
Nilsa entered the room "you know you don't need to knock" she told the vampire.
Nilsa smirked "You sure about that, don't want to walk in and find you in a compromising position" what is it with vampires and their dirty minds.
"As if" she rolled her eyes.
"You ready to go?" Nilsa smiled holding the door open.
"To kick some vampire ass...most definitely" Aerilyn stifled a laugh. She was wary but knew they would protect her.
They headed out to where she last saw the vampires practicing, it was out in the open on a field not too far from the stables.
As they approached they could already see everyone practicing, laid out were weapons not that they needed them. They were much larger than human weapons and more expensive.
"Let's find you a weapon" Nilsa spoke. They had a good look, Aerilyn even tried to lift some which were too heavy causing Nilsa to laugh.
Queen Solenne approached them at this point, "I have a weapon in mind pet" the girl followed the Queen.
A small sword was lay on a rack, but it was beautiful. The hilt was the Queen's crest and gold like her eyes, it caught Aerilyn's eyes straight away. Aerilyn lifted the sword, feeling how lightweight it was, the grip impeccable, like it was carved by magic. It's reflection, reflecting back on the girl.
Aerilyn stood back trying to swing the sword and almost dropped it, it was extremely sharp.
"Careful there, that's a sword that can actually kill a vampire" Solenne spoke. The other vampires watched on cautiously, letting a human have a vampire killing sword was not ideal.
"Come and spar with me, I'll show you the basics" Nilsa gestured.
Solenne went back to practice with the others. It had been about an hour and a half of teaching and the girl felt like she was getting the hang of it.
"Not bad for a human" Nilsa was a good teacher.
"Not so bad yourself vampy" Aerilyn joked back.
Out in the distance, Evelyn had just finished her shift in the stables and was headed back over the fields to the house she was staying in.
That's when she first noticed a girl who looked much like her best friend.
Walking closer to get a better view she realised it was her, she had to try and speak to her.
"Care to spar with me" Solenne interrupted with a glint in her eye, her long blonde hair tied back in two braids.
"Sure" Aerilyn shrugged her shoulders, what did she have to lose.
"I promise to go easy on you" Solenne winked.
That was a challenge to Aerilyn, she wanted to get one up on her.
"Remember everything I told you" Nilsa whispered. Nilsa had taught her that distraction was imperative if she was to win.
The two began to spar, obviously the Queen was relaxed and taking it easy, as if she was a human. A few times she knocked Aerilyn's sword out of her hands, but she didn't use her vampire speed or power.
Evelyn couldn't believe the girl was sparring with the Queen, she was shocked. The other vampires had noticed her approaching as they had all stopped to watch the human and Queen spar.
"Aerilyn" she called out in disbelief. Aerilyn looked around for the person who called her name, the Queen had also stopped, she hadn't been expecting things to go this way.

"Evelyn" Aerilyn called, a mixture of emotions passed through her as she saw her best friend and then she realised how it must look, sparring with the Queen as if they were friends. She quickly remembered who she was and what she was doing. She turned back to the Queen, whose guard was dropped.
The Queen was distracted.
She held up her sword to the Queen's neck and chin.
Aerilyn all to quickly remembered what she was doing there, she was a blood slave, a pet and nothing more.
She could end it all now.
Everyone gasped.
"Do it Aerilyn" Evelyn shouted.
Nilsa had approached Evelyn by this point and had taken a hold of her.
The Queen finally looked back at the girl who held the sword up to her neck, whose eyes were full of venom, eyes turning red, a deep crimson red.
Hurt
"Drop your sword" the girl spoke. The other vampires stood in an attack stance ready to grab the girl as they pointed their swords towards her.
Solenne dropped her sword to the ground.
"Are you going to kill me pet" the Queen sensed her hesitation.
Aerilyn pressed the sword a little harder, but not hard enough to draw blood. "I hate you and what you have done to us, you deserve to die and pay for what you have done" Aerilyn so badly wanted to hurt her, but that was over powered by another emotion entirely.
Aerilyn battled with herself, this was the woman that had caused her and the other humans so much heart break and pain, she could end it all now for her race.
This woman had caused her more heartache throughout her life, losing her family, constantly being on the run and having no food.
Humans could be free and she would be a hero, if she plunged the knife into her.
The problem was that she knew she had come to care for the confusing vampire, she had woken up in her bed just last night, the vampire had protected her many times from the others and had never once fed from her without consent.
She never forced her to do anything, in fact she always listened to the girl and fed her, gave her a lovely room and yet she felt like she had betrayed everyone of her own mind.
The Queen stepped closer forcing the sword to draw blood.
"We don't have all day" she spat, her eyes in a whirlpool of red.
Aerilyn looked down at the ground in deep thought, Solenne could sense everything, the girl was in turmoil.
Aerilyn dropped the sword, she couldn't do it, she had come to care about the woman, she wasn't what she had been taught, she was nothing like the stories they heard.
Her eyes were wide with fear of the consequences.
"On your knees" a guard told her and shoved her.
It was all over.
She would face the consequences, most likely dead.
Solenne watched as she dropped to her knees crying.
Aerilyn dropped to her knees straight away, hanging her head in shame, this was it she was going to die.
Solenne was brimming with anger, she couldn't think straight, this wasn't how their bond was suppose to be.
The sight of the girl on the floor destroyed her, she shouldn't be on her knees, she was her equal, the Queen battled with herself, she still hadn't full accepted the human, but seeing her like this she had no choice.
But she had to be the Queen she was and not show any emotion.
It all fit into place for her.
The Queen knew she would never punish the girl and not wanting her anger to get the better of her she spoke "get out of my sight" she spoke venomously.
Aerilyn turned around and ran towards the castle, she had to get to her room, that was her safe space.
She was ashamed.
Nilsa let Evelyn go by this point.
The Queen who was very angry spoke to Nilsa "check up on her".
"Escort Evelyn back to the house" she ordered the guards.
Matheus finally realised what had happened.
"Why didn't you tell me Luanna for gods sake, I looked so stupid" he said quietly.
Only the two could hear.
"This isn't going to go down well" he admitted.
He had watched everything go down and realised with his sisters reaction that Aerilyn was not like everyone else to the Queen.
He could pick up on her mannerisms that others could not see. "Not when neither of them will accept the other" she mumbled.
He face palmed himself.
"So that's what has been going on, way to keep me in the loop" the pair walked off back to the building.
"Your majesty, please could you spare a moment" Evelyn asked quite boldly before the Queen walked off.
Solenne approached Evelyn with a raised eye brow, this girl had balls and the audacity to look the Queen in her eyes.
"Yes human" Solenne hissed.
"Well, let's get started, since I know you won't harm me I can say what I want to say" she had guts that's for sure.
This startled the Queen, she hadn't been spoken to like this before.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that" the guards were out of ear shot.
"You would if you knew what I do" she stood with her arm on her hip.
"And what is that exactly, your cryptic talk won't get you anywhere but the dungeons and I have other places to be" the Queen was growing bored of this.
"Like Aerilyn's bed" she quipped back.
Solenne's mouth hung open.
She wanted to grab the human by the rough of her neck.
"You may be her best friend but..." Solenne spoke.
Evelyn interrupted.
"We both now you won't hurt me because I know what you both are to each other and even though she hasn't accepted it yet or realised, there are others in the resistance who know and won't accept it as I'm sure your kind won't either and as much as I hate you, I hate it even more what this is doing to my best friend, she's lost, confused and hurt" Evelyn explained.
The Queen didn't know what to say, if people in the resistance knew that meant Aerilyn wasn't safe.
"That's why she was attacked by that human the other day, wasn't it?" Solenne spoke to herself.
Evelyn was worried for her friend who was clueless.
"You need to tell her, Saryn the man that was with us, knew from the start. We found out he is an elder in the resistance, old man knew more than what he was letting on" she rambled.
"Why are you telling me this" Solenne was confused by the girls behaviour.
Ev relaxed as she spoke to the Queen as she took a step forward "Because whether I like it or not, my best friend cares about you and she's not safe right now" Ev confirmed, she had relaxed a lot more, it was a front when she first confronted Solenne but now her thoughts were confirmed.
Solenne stood still as the girl stepped closer "Does Aerilyn's brother know? Is he even still alive?" Solenne wanted to make the girl happy and knew that finding him would.
Ev was conflicted in what she told Solenne but she knew it was for the best. "Yes he is alive, but he doesn't know, we decided not to tell him, it wouldn't go down very well, he hates your guts for taking her. Besides I only found out because I snoop" she laughed.
"You better start laying on that charm we've heard you all have, because whatever you are doing right now, you are failing miserably" the girl just laughed at the vampire Queen's failings, it was all quite amusing to the human.
The Queen felt self conscious, was it that obvious the girl didn't favor her.
"It's a good job you are her best friend because otherwise you'd be drank dry and tortured" Solenne eyed the girl.
"It's a good job we will get a long just fine because I can give you some good tips to win her over" she winked at the Queen, who Internally groaned.
"I think I'll take my chances" General Talc approached and indicated he needed her majesty, drawing their conversation to a close.
Evelyn knew the Queen needed help "I bet you don't even know what her favourite food is or colour" this caused Solenne to stop and turn around.
